Can Interactions Enhance Student Satisfaction in Online Learning During a Crisis?

    Get PDF
This research aims to examine the effect of internet facility, platform, learner-learner interaction, and learner-instructor interaction on student satisfaction. This quantitative research uses the survey method to collect data by distributing questionnaires through Google Forms. The research sample consisted of 179 students from the Business Accounting, Tax Accounting, and International Business Accounting major batch of 20172021 at Petra Christian University Indonesia. The data was analyzed using SPSS software by testing statistic descriptive, reliability, validity, and multiple regression. The results show that internet facilities and learner-instructor interaction have a significant positive effect on student satisfaction during online learning, while the platform and learner-learner interaction have not impact on student satisfaction during online learning when the COVID-19 pandemic occurred

Investigating the Impact: Financial Literacy, Socio-Economic Status, and Awareness on Investment Decisions with Moderation Factors

    Get PDF
nvestment decisions must be made appropriately so that investors are not trapped by investment scams. But in fact, cases of investment scams are increasingly rampant in Indonesia. The primary objective of this paper is to highlight the lack of financialliteracy as one of the elements that might be responsible for Indonesias substantial number of investment scam victims. To investigate the association between financial literacy, SES, awareness, and investment decisions, the model put out in this research employs logistic regression analysis. The results show that financial literacy has an impact on investment decisions, while SES has no influence on investment decisions. Awareness of fraudulent investments can moderate the relationship between financial literacy and investment decisions butcannot moderate SES on investment decisions. This study exhorts investors to base their investment choices on their financial literacy rather than on outside influences. Financial literacy training programs should be developed by the government, financialinstitutions, and educational institutions

The Influence of Local Culinary Experience on Destination Familiarity and Future Intention in Eastern Indonesia

    Get PDF
In Indonesias tourism sector, particularly in the eastern regions, culinary tourism has emerged as a growing attraction. This study focuses on understanding the influence of local culinary experiences on tourists future intentions, with destination familiarity acting as a mediating factor. The research examines whether local culinary experiences, destination familiarity, and future intention are interconnected, specifically in the context of Indonesias eastern destinations: Makassar, Manado, Lombok, Banjarmasin, Kupang, and Balikpapan. The study utilizes a quantitative correlation design to explore the relationships between these variables. Data were collected from 360 domestic tourists who visited these locations, and responses were analyzed by SmartPLS to ensure the validity and reliability of the findings. The results revealed that local culinary experiences significantly affect both destination familiarity and future intention, with destination familiarity serving as a crucial mediating factor. While all independent variables demonstrated significant beta coefficients, it is important to note that local food attributes (LFA) had a minimal impact on both destination familiarity and future intention (β = 0.111, p = 0.030, f² = 0.010). In contrast, emotional and epistemic benefits exhibited stronger effects, indicating that enhancing the overall culinary experience is essential for fostering destination loyalty. These findings affirm the research hypotheses and emphasize the vital role of culinary experiences in shaping tourists perceptions and intention through destination familiarity, thereby suggesting that a comprehensive approach to culinary tourism can better improve tourist retention and encourage future visits

The Role of Local Food Experience in Shaping Gastronomic Satisfaction and Destination Satisfaction: Domestic Tourist in Eastern Indonesia

Indonesia is a country with diverse and unique cultural heritage that influenced its food tradition. Eastern Indonesias distinctive culture is also reflected in their plenty of local foods. Furthermore, local food is one of the key factors to shape tourist satisfaction towards the destination. The objective of this study was to examine the role of experience through local food toward both gastronomic and destination satisfaction. The five-point Likert questionnaire was collected from 360 domestic tourists visiting six major cities in Eastern Indonesia (Lombok, Kupang, Manado, Makassar, Banjarmasin and Balikpapan). Partial Least-Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to investigate the relationship amongst the variables. The result indicated that local food attributes positively influenced both gastronomic and destination satisfaction. On the other hand, emotional benefit only has a significant relationship to gastronomic satisfaction while epistemic benefit has a significant relationship with destination satisfaction. The findings also imply that gastronomic satisfaction has partially mediated the relationship between local food experience and epistemic benefit toward destination satisfaction, and also fully mediated the relationship between emotional benefit and destination satisfaction

Gamification as Online Teaching Strategy: Case Study from Various Subjects

    Get PDF
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a significant transformation in the field of education, necessitating a rapid and extensive shift to online instructional methods. This study investigates the application of gamification as a potent approach for augmenting involvement, motivation, and educational achievements in the online learning landscape. Leveraging insights from previous research and practical insights, this article delves into the fundamental principles of gamification, its advantages within the realm of online education, and provides practical recommendations for its effective implementation. Through the presentation of successful instances and recommended practices, we illustrate how gamification can address the challenges of remote learning, ensuring both the continuity of education and the establishment of an engaging and interactive virtual classroo

Dynamic analysis of four-wheel electric vehicle: Effect of torque vectoring

    Get PDF
A vehicle has many parameters that can be measured while moving. To increase stability, these parameters need to be controlled by adjusting the torque value for each wheel. This control is often referred to as Torque Vectoring (TV). Understanding how the vehicle responds when input is given, in this case, the torque on each wheel is important in case of design a control system. Vehicle stability is indicated by the yaw rate and side slip angle value. In this study the effect of longitudinal velocity, steering angle, and correction torque on vehicle dynamics. Increasing torque correction value will increase the yaw rate and the side slip angle value linearly. Increasing steering angle will increase the yaw rate and the side slip angle linearly. As the longitudinal velocity increases, the yaw rate and the side slip angle value will increase exponentially. The side slip angle has a higher stability limit than for the yaw rate. This is means that the yaw rate stability needs more attention
