    Get PDF
Our study highlights the interrelationship between community resilience and business resilience. This study showed that when community members were able to recover from the health risks of pandemic, small businesses were also able to recover by continuing their operations that once were disrupted. The surviving businesses also benefit the local community with valuable offerings to enjoy and by providing jobs for the locals. Our findings thus may inform policy makers on the importance of contextual factor for economic recovery program following an adverse event. Government sponsored new venture creations initiatives should be aimed at exploiting local opportunities by fulfilling local demands of products and services while at the same time empowering local entrepreneurs. This is to increase the chance of survival of small ventures as the continuity of small businesses rely on their communities. This message is important amidst the higher preference of government and venture capitalists to support new ventures creation initiatives that display the potential for a fast growth by utilizing high technology and targeting wide geographical area of market. Although this type of venturing is important, however, the economic impact of local small venturing for community is also evident, thus should not be overlooked

    Get PDF
This study aims to examine the influence of internal factors (management compensation and company liquidity) and external factors (tax consultant variable) on tax aggressiveness. Using multiple regression analysis, the hypothesis testing results based on 116 panel data observations from the healthcare sector companies listed in the IDX between 2019-2022 indicate that all variables have an impact on the tax aggressiveness of the company, with less consistent directions of influence, especially for company liquidity and tax consultant. Those independent variables influence tax aggressiveness positively, indicating that the more liquid the company and more tax consultants it hires, the higher its aggressiveness. These results were robust to the alternative models of the tax aggressiveness, which each of the independent variables were placed in the models. The practical implication of this study is that tax aggressiveness behavior will not only be triggered by internal factors, but it is possible to be affected by external ones

    Get PDF
Information disclosure in the digital era has created a demand for easily accessible and meaningful information by the public. In this study, we propose the development of a web-based information system application for 360-degree virtual tours of heritage palaces. The primary objective is to offer the public an engaging and captivating view of these magnificent palaces. This application takes a panoramic image, created using the ORB image stitching algorithm, as input and presents it in a virtual tour format. Our research focuses on implementing the image stitching algorithm to provide a lifelike visualization of the dynamic 360-degree palace environment, creating an authentic experience like being at the actual location. The virtual tour approach offers a more immersive and appealing presentation compared to traditional photographs
