    Get PDF
In the digital era, social media has become an important marketing tool for businesses, including the culinary industry. This study examines the use of motion graphics to develop the social media presence of Rarampa Resto and Bar, a restaurant serving Manado cuisine and healthy MSG-free food in South Jakarta. Although the restaurant has a loyal customer base, particularly from the 40-60 age group, its social media content fails to attract younger audiences, especially millennials, who seek unique and authentic culinary experiences. This study suggests that Rarampas social media content, which mainly focuses on event photography and the restaurants ambiance, is ineffective in capturing the attention of younger audiences. Therefore, using illustrations and motion graphics is proposed to create more dynamic and appealing visual content. By incorporating semi-cartoon illustration styles and motion graphic elements, Rarampa can build a stronger visual identity, engage younger audiences, and increase interaction on social media. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, using data collection methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are expected to provide insights into how to optimize the use of motion graphics to attract younger audiences and enhance the visual appeal of Rarampa Resto and Bars social media

Unlocking Green Potential in Indonesian Small Medium Enterprises: Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Vermicelli Production

    Get PDF
Due to limited initiatives and support, the transition to green manufacturing among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries remains challenging. Through a critical literature review and case study of the Indonesian vermicelli industry, this study highlights the importance of collaboration and strong policies to address this. Other findings also reveal that the energy intensity and emissions in the sector exceed best practice benchmarks, with the cooking and drying stages contributing significantly to emissions due to high energy consumption. Lack of government regulations, company awareness, and understanding of applicable practices and technologies creates challenges in green manufacturing. The study has utilized a multifaceted approach, including energy efficiency, green technologies, and renewable solutions like hybrid solar dryers. The study helps SMEs in developing countries implement green manufacturing and sustainable practices by providing empirical data and energy-emission benchmarks

EXPLORING THE ROLE OF INSTAGRAM VIDEO BLOGGING IN ENHANCING ENGAGEMENT IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLASSROOM

    Get PDF
Taiwans ministry of education urges all education levels to open foreign language programs, including Indonesian language, in their institution. Yet, this encouragement is not followed by adequate propaganda. Hence, innovative engagement strategies are needed to make Indonesian language elective courses popular in Taiwan. Thus, an Indonesian native speaker teacher of a northern Taiwan public university integrated Instagram in her elective course to enhance engagement. She assigned her students to make a video blog with the theme self-introduction and upload the video to their social media. This media is used due to its significant impact on everyday life. This study probes social medias impact on video blogging projects and how learners with different mastery goal levels identified their engagement and satisfaction after finishing the project. Fourteen students participated in this study, and the data were gathered through in-depth interviews and self-reported online journals. The interview and online guided journal generated students self-monitoring, behavioral engagement, and satisfaction. Screenshots from the students post on Instagram and social media chat also served as evidence to support the findings. The result shows the significant influence of social media on learners effort and creativity in doing the assignment; it also influences the satisfaction regarding the participants mastery approach. Students poured their endeavors exceeding the teachers expectation. To ensure the quality of the video content, they did a lot of self-practices and consultations with their teacher. The result leads to the pedagogical implications of integrating video blogging and social media within authentic learning environments for enhanced student engagement

The green effect: how brand positioning fuels sustainable purchasing

    No full text
Purpose: The construction of homes to meet the primary needs of society results in a surge of harmful gas emissions into the ecosystem. Globally, the construction sector alone contributes a staggering 39% of gas emissions, underscoring the urgent need for green innovation to mitigate their adverse impacts. The concept of green living emerges as a strategy to address this challenge. Consequently, this research aims to delve into the influence of green brand positioning and perceived financial risk on the purchase intention of green residential properties, with attitude toward environment as a mediating variable. Design/methodology/approach: This study adopts a quantitative associative approach, employing a purposive sampling technique to target consumers aged at least 21 years old who live in Indonesia. Data are collected through online questionnaires distributed via Google Forms, garnering responses from 269 participants. Data are processed using PLS-SEM with the SmartPLS 3.0 program for hypothesis testing. Findings: The research findings reveal that both functional and emotional positioning have a significant impact on attitudes toward environmental concerns. However, green positioning does not exhibit such influence on these attitudes. Moreover, attitude toward environmental issues significantly affects purchase intentions, although perceived financial risk does not. This study also intimates that functional and emotional positioning significantly influence purchase intention, with attitude toward environment as a mediating variable. Practical implications: Consumer priorities lie in the functional and emotional attributes of the green homes they purchase, while environmental consciousness needs to be heightened. However, investing in green living often entails bearing higher costs, thus creating financial constraints on consumers. This condition also calls for ongoing education and advocacy initiatives to bolster consumer awareness of green living practices, fostering consumer environmental awareness and active participation in efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Originality/value: Research on green living remains limited in Indonesia due to insufficient understanding and low environmental awareness. It is imperative to address this issue to foster a deeper understanding of green concepts and promote environmentally conscious behavior on a wider scale

Risk tolerance dan niat investasi berisiko di kalangan mahasiswa: Peran literasi keuangan sebagai variabel moderasi

    No full text
Various factors influence the decision-making process in investment. This study examines the effect of risk tolerance on risky investment intention among university students, with financial literacy as a moderating variable. A quantitative causal approach was employed, using questionnaires distributed via Google Forms. The research sample consisted of 100 university students selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that risk tolerance significantly influences risky investment intention, whereas financial literacy does not significantly affect risky investment intention. Financial literacy does not moderate the relationship between risk tolerance and risky investment intention. A high level of financial literacy does not necessarily ensure a persons willingness to engage in risky investments. Other factors, such as prior investment experience and psychological factors influence investment decisions. Individuals must understand and manage their emotions and evaluate risk tolerance levels to make wiser investment decisions
