Green Accounting and Corporate Social Responsibility: Enhancing SDG Commitment in Indonesias Energy Sector

    No full text
This study investigates the implementation of Good Governance (GA) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and their relationship with the commitment of energy sector companies to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In light of the growing urgency of sustainability challenges in Indonesiaparticularly the deterioration of air qualitythis research explores how GA and CSR practices influence corporate dedication to the SDGs. The study examines 17 energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 20192023, selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using WarpPLS 7.0. The findings reveal that both the application of GA and the disclosure of CSR initiatives have a positive impact on a companys commitment to the SDGs. However, CSR does not moderate the relationship between GA and SDG implementation. This study contributes to the academic literature by offering insights into the interplay between GA, CSR, and sustainability, emphasizing the importance of aligning governance and social responsibility strategies to advance sustainable development objective

From sign to design: The role of domain transfer in redefining architecture locality

    No full text
This research examines the design process using conceptual frameworks based on domain transfer to suggest a new model for architecture based on local contexts. Plowrights conceptual framework is a way of developing new ideas, in which architecture may or may not be subverted with concepts that are significant; meanings may also be redefined with ‘big ideas’ (concepts), analogy, metaphor or significant questions from inside and outside the realms of architecture. This research utilizes case study method through design and reflects on the design process within the context of the West Java Cultural Center design competition. This analysis deconstructed and explained the design process using the conceptual framework, identifying unique representations of crosscultural and West Java culture as the basis for an architectural program. The case was used to understand the transformational architectural syntax occurring from local signs and symbols as evidence of innovation. The results of the case study fell within three areas: concepts as a way to achieve a place of innovation (hypothesis), transferring ideas based on locality into elements and syntax (transfer), and bringing them all together into a coherent design (coherence). Domain transfer was redefined in this case study as the translation of symbolic values and cultural attributes from non-architecture into architectural form and elements in pursuit of contextual design innovation

The role of individual ambidexterity in supporting sales force performance based on a personal motivation perspective

    No full text
The disruption of post-COVID-19 consumer habits presents challenges for marketing managers, necessitating innovation in sales force management to remain competitive. Individual ambidexterity is a strategy employed in sales force management to encourage both explorative behaviour, which seeks new opportunities, and exploitative behaviour, which enhances operational efficiency. This research examines the influence of personal motivation on the development of individual ambidexterity behaviour, which, in turn, boosts sales force performance. A total of 223 salespeople participated in the survey conducted for this study. The participants work in retail stores across various sectors, including food and beverage, personal care, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals in East Java, Indonesia. The research results indicate that personal motivation directly impacts the formation of individual ambidexterity behaviour. Furthermore, individual ambidexterity behaviour positively affects sales force performance. The study also reveals that individual ambidexterity behaviour mediates the relationship between personal motivation and sales force performance

Bridging Parental Influence and Entrepreneurship Education: The Role of Entrepreneurial and Digital Competencies in Shaping Entrepreneurial Career Aspirations

    No full text
Despite the changes in the tourism industry that are more oriented toward digital services, extant studies on entrepreneur- ship education tend to overlook the role of entrepreneurial and digital competencies in shaping the aspiration of university students in tourism and hotel management to become entrepreneurs in the era of the digital economy. Therefore, the pur- pose of this study is to investigate whether support from students closest environment, such as their parents and their edu- cation institutions through entrepreneurship education, can shape their entrepreneurial career aspirations. More specifically, this research examines whether parental attitudes toward entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education contribute to the development of entrepreneurial and digital competencies, which in turn affect students entrepreneurial career aspira- tions. By using survey data on 442 university students majoring in tourism, retail, and hotel management in Indonesia, this study employs the Structural Equation Model (SEM) to test the direct and indirect effects of entrepreneurial and digital com- petencies on entrepreneurial career aspirations. Moreover, the study uses Necessary Condition Analysis (NCA) to reveal specific competencies that contribute to entrepreneurial career aspirations. Our findings indicate significant effects of entre- preneurial and digital competencies in mediating the relationship between parents positive attitude toward entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial career aspirations. Entrepreneurial and digital competencies are found to be critical mediators, acting as necessary conditions for entrepreneurial career aspirations. Our findings thus highlight the important role of both entrepreneurial and digital competencies in shaping students entrepreneurial career aspirations and reveal the specific competencies required to shape their entrepreneurial career aspirations

Integrating Deep Learning in Language Learning: Insight from the Literature

    No full text
Deep learning in language learning has the potential to revolutionize learning with its ability to process complex data. This study aims to: 1) identify key trends in the use of deep learning, 2) explore the benefits and challenges of implementing deep learning in language learning, and 3) determine future research directions based on gaps found in the literature. This study uses a literature review approach. The studys findings indicate a notable trend in the application of deep learning to a number of languages learning domains, including online learning, sign language recognition, translation, language assessment, and personalized learning. Numerous advantages of deep learning were also noted by the study, including better learning outcomes, higher student engagement, and the creation of creative applications. The study did identify a number of difficulties, though, including the requirement for huge data, infrastructure constraints, and data privacy concerns. The researcher suggests that further research address the various gaps and maximize the potential of DL applications in learning

Tepatkah Strategi Penilaianku?
