The research examines the role of weak and strong ties in the development of lawyers' careers. The relevance of the topic is that in the legal profession, relational capital plays a key role in client acquisition, professional support and career advancement. The theoretical framework for the research is provided by Granovetter's theory of the 'power of weak ties' and Bourdieu's theory of capital, and is closely related to the research on networks of relationships by Ágnes Utasi, which emphasises the role of social capital and trust in mobility. Previous empirical research suggests that weak ties play an important role in access to new opportunities, while strong ties provide stability and trust capital. The research is based on a qualitative analysis of eight semi-structured interviews. The results show that weak ties mainly provide access to new clients and information, while strong ties, especially through friends and mentors, can act as a bridge to facilitate this. The role of political connections is mixed, and there is also a conscious abstention. The results contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of social capital in the mobility of the professional middle class
Potential application of silver-doped tin oxide thin films in CNT growth
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have outstanding electronic, thermal, and mechanical properties that have made them very attractive for applications in the field of energy storage, electronics, water treatment, sensors, and composites and structural materials. However, realizing the controlled CNT growth with the required diameter, density and uniformity remains a great challenge. The support layer, which is located between the substrate and the catalyst, has a critically important role in the regulation of the catalyst nanoparticle stability, diffusion and morphology. Also, it strongly influences the shape and productivity of CNTs. In this paper, undoped and silver-doped tin oxide (SnO2 and Ag-SnO2) thin films were fabricated by using spray pyrolysis with the moving nozzle (SPMN) technique. Effects of Ag as doped on the structural, optical, and electrical properties of SnO2 thin films were studied for new recommendations as a support layer to grow the CNTs. The SnO2 and Ag-SnO2 thin films were characterized using XRD, IR, and UV-VIS spectrophotometry analysis, as well as four-point probe measurements. Therefore, their properties to control the catalysts and the growth of CNTs will be undertaken in future studies
