General Education Teaching Report About Japanese Literature Related to Kumamoto （1） Yukionna by Koizumi Yakumo
Get PDF大学の理工系学部学生を対象とした文学系の教養科目は、専門教育との直接的な繋がりが見えにくいため、学士課程教育の中でも、学生への動機づけをはじめとして授業方法にさまざまな創意工夫が必要である。その工夫の一つとして、高等学校の国語科教育との接続に留意した指導方法があげられるだろう。学修者の実態を踏まえたうえで円滑に後期中等教育から高等教育へと導く「高大接続」の視点での授業づくりである。本稿は、本学で実施した教養科目「日本の文学」のうち、導入回で行った熊本ゆかりの文学者・小泉八雲の名作「雪女」を題材とした授業実践報告である。授業では、受講生の実態を踏まえつつ段階的に指導を行い、アクティブ・ラーニングの一つの試みとして、「個別学習」と「集団学習」とを組み合わせた活動を取り入れた。受講生の取り組みやアンケートの結果等から自己の授業改善を図るとともに教養教育の課題について考察した

Get PDF科学技術計算を行うための汎用的かつ自由度の高い計算資源は、シミュレーション研究の基盤である。今回、情報学科のサーバ室に、一般的なCPUとGPUおよび10Gbit NICを搭載したPC7台からなるクラスタマシンを構築したので、構築過程とベンチマークテスト結果を報告する。ソフトウェア環境に関しては比較的最近のLinux OSであるCentOS 7を使用して徹底して標準的な並列計算用の環境構築に努めた。Linpackによるベンチマークでは機材構成からして妥当な演算性能を示した

Get PDF本学のFD委員会では3つのワーキンググループ（WG）が活動しており、その中の一つであるWG1では授業評価（授業アンケートの分析・精査、シラバスチェックなど）の実施および評価法の改善などを行っている。本報告では、WG1のミッションの一つとして、過去2年間に引き続いて1，2）、全教員の更なる授業改善に資することを目的として、ベストティーチング賞（BTA）受賞教員の授業構築の特徴をBTA受賞教員へのアンケート結果と学生による授業アンケートの結果を比較して検証した。平成30年度において実施された「授業に関する学生アンケート」の結果、全教員の平均スコアが急増したが、アンケートの実施方法が変更されたことによる影響についての評価は今後の検討課題である。BTA受賞教員は、共通して授業の中で学生との関係づくりに気を配り、学生の授業に取り組む姿勢を向上させる工夫をされていた。これらの点は、授業アンケートによって学生がとくに高く評価している項目と一致する傾向が見られた

Get PDFThis report outlines the development, implementation, and evaluation of an eight-week
experimental project-based learning (PBL) elective course that was trialed during the
spring semester of 2023 at Sojo University. The course project consisted of a real-world
educational and recreational event attended by local elementary and junior high school
students. The report serves as a process-oriented example for potential course authors of
similar elective courses featuring experiential and project-based learning, as well as an
outcomes-based justification for future development of a related community program.
本報告書は、崇城⼤学で 2023 年度前期（春学期）に試⾏された、8 週間の実験的プロジ
ェクトベース学習（PBL）選択コースの開発、実施、評価を概説したものである。このコ
ースのプロジェクトは、地元の⼩中学⽣が参加する現実的教育及びレクリエーション活動
で構成された。 本報告書は、同様の体験学習型選択コースの作成者に向けプロセス指向
の例として、また将来のコミュニティ・プログラム関連の開発に対する成果ベースの根拠
として役⽴つものである
The Challenges as a DX and Innovation Hub and Bridging the Digital Skills Gap at the Sojo University IoT-AI Center
Get PDFThis paper describes the concept, the approaches and state-of-the-art ICT equipment for fostering innovative human resources at Sojo University's Centre for IoT and AI, one of Japan's leading DX and innovation centers. The Sojo University IoT-AI Center in Kumamoto, Japan, has established a student-led club to address the regional need for techskilled human resources. The club leverages open-source technologies and a constructionist pedagogical approach to foster digital literacy and self-directed learning among students.
Through hands-on projects utilizing Arduino platforms and sensor kits, students gain practical experience and a deeper understanding of IoT concepts. The supportive environment of the IoT-AI Center, coupled with industry partnerships, further enhances the learning experience. Survey data and qualitative observations indicate the effectiveness of this approach. The club has successfully engaged students, particularly first-year students, in meaningful learning experiences. This shift from traditional instructionist methods to a more experimental, project-based approach aligns with the evolving needs of the digital age. The findings suggest that this model can be replicated by other institutions to address the digital skills gap in Japan's rapidly changing technological landscape
