Early Bilingualism: A Case Study of Changes in Code-Switching

Get PDFThe theme of my art work is to present “how the technology has invaded humans”. The mobile phone is rapidly coming into the society as a new communication tool. The human relationships are rapidly being disengaged due to the development of technology in today’s world. People are more isolated in their own worlds. My art work is trying to show how these human relationships have been disengaged and the main cause for this situation. The reason for choosing iron as the medium was that I felt it would give the hardness to the art work and also I saw it as a symbol for the technology.
From the second chapter I brought out about some of the artists related to my art work and then I picked up four sculptures： Julio Gonzlez, Jaume Plensa, John Lopez and Marti Moreno. I decided to create my art work based on the human postures and the human body, and I got the knowledge of technological tactics from these artists. They welded the metal nuts one by one which were closer to one another. I also welded the metal rods in a way that they are connected one another.
In the third Chapter I mentioned my previous works and about my art works at Sojo university. In the fourth chapter I showed some idea sketches of my art work. After that I explained the technological process of my work. As I had a previous training on welding iron in Sri Lanka, it put me on ease. I used a welding plant to create my art work, and I also used welding sticks in the welding process. Grinder machines, cutting machines, scissors which are used to cut iron, face covered helmets, welding plant, spectacles and gloves can be pointed out as technological tools which are used in creating such an art work as this.
Finally I mentioned the specific process of wedding at the fifth chapter. I created two main sculptures and another small sculpture. Three separate sculptures were finally connected to each other. The difficulties which I encountered, using iron as the medium and the measures taken by me to overcome those difficulties are some of them. When using this medium I felt that it is easier for me and I am getting used to it more and more. So, I specially liked this medium. And I also determined to create more art works also by using iron as the medium in the future

Get PDF1991（平成3）年の大学設置基準の改正、所謂「大綱化」は、大学に自律的な教育課程編成を求める教育改革であったが、一方では、教養部という組織の解体や「教養教育」の低迷等、当初は意図されなかったような現象をも引き起こした。さらに、最近では、高等教育はユニバーサル段階を迎え、学生の多様化とともに、後期中等教育の教育課程の多様化にも対応し得る「教養教育」の内容を検討しなければならなくなってきている。本稿の目的は、学士課程における「教養教育」の現状の課題を明らかにし、教育機能に支障をきたしている原因について考察することである。本稿では、「大綱化」以後の「教養教育」に関する先行研究を、主に、教育制度と教育機能との関係を視座として、分析・考察を行った。結論の要旨は以下のとおりである。教育課程編成の主体は、教員とその組織である。殊に「教養教育」は学士課程教育全体に密接に関連するため、改善には全教職員の意識改革が必要で、広義の「教育研究」についての理解及びFDの活性化が課題である。さらに、「教養教育」の質向上と、それを目指す教育改革の具現化には、全学的な求心力のある組織体制の構築が望まれる

Get PDF宇宙機にマニピュレータが搭載されている宇宙ロボットに対するマニピュレータの運動制御法が数多く報告されている。これらの制御法は、マニピュレータ動作中に宇宙機の変動を制御しないロボット（浮遊型宇宙ロボット）に対して開発されたものと、宇宙機の変動を制御するロボット（飛行型宇宙ロボット）に対して開発されたものに大別される。これに対し、著者らは前者の浮遊型宇宙ロボットを対象とした転置一般化ヤコビ行列を用いた適応制御法を提案している。この制御法の特徴は、1）ロボットの特異姿勢とは関係なく制御系信号の有界性が確保されること、2）ロボットのシステムパラメータ（質量など）が未知であることを前提としてコントローラが設計されていることである。本稿では、この適応制御法を、後者の飛行型宇宙ロボットに適用できるよう修正したコントローラを設計した。そして、数値シミュレーションにより、浮遊型と飛行型宇宙ロボットに対する、これらのコントローラの制御結果を比較した
Analytical Investigation of Flexure of the Main Spar with Flying Wire -For Non-linear Change of EI-
Get PDF人力機の主翼主桁は、翼幅が20mを優に超えるため複数の異なる径のパイプを継いで構成される。また、胴体下部から主翼主桁へ斜めに補強ワイヤ（飛行時に機能するためのFlying Wireという）を張り、揚力による上曲げでの翼の破損を防ぐ。この主翼主桁のたわみは補強ワイヤ付き片持ち梁として解析できる。それは梁材のヤング率Eと断面二次モーメントIの積である曲げ剛性EIを全長にわたり一定とする一様梁や、階段状に変化させるステップ梁とした解析である。後者はワイヤ取り付け位置も関わり、階段数が増えるほど解析式の導出も煩雑となる割に有用性は限られる。また、継ぎ目でEIが不連続に急変することの検証も必要である。継ぎ目の構造設計には、曲げ荷重だけでなく補強ワイヤによる軸方向荷重を把握しておかなければならない。なお、人力機の主桁としても用いられるCFRPパイプは、積層繊維の向きと積層数の組合せでEIを調整できる利点がある。本論文では、補強ワイヤ付きの主翼主桁を、胴体との固定部から翼端に向けてのEIが一様な区間に非線形変化区間を継いだ場合について、補強ワイヤの伸びを考慮して梁の曲げたわみを解析する。まず補強ワイヤ付きの片持ち梁に集中荷重および等分布荷重が作用する場合のたわみ式を導く。次にワイヤによる垂直方向付加荷重を求める。計算例で人力機の主翼主桁のCFRPパイプの物性値を用い、ステップ梁との比較検討を行う

Get PDF本稿は、米国の環境法（スーパーファンド法）を事例として、政策過程における住民参加について政策学的観点から考察したものである。まず、政策に関する地域住民の受容意識と手続き的公正の重要性について触れたうえで、行政からの情報提供のあり方が住民の政策への信頼感に大きな影響を与えることを指摘している。次に、政策過程における協働的合意形成には住民と行政との信頼関係の構築が前提となることを示したうえで、住民参加を制度化された社会学習の機会として捉える必要があることを指摘している。次に、スーパーファンド法における住民参加に関する諸制度を概観し、具体的事例としてミルタウン貯水池／クラーク・フォーク川スーパーファンド・サイトを取り上げ、どのようなプロセスを経て除染、再生、再開発対策が検討、実施されたかを検証している。最後に、同法における各アクターの役割とアクター間関係を検討し、特にファシリテーターと専門家が、政策過程における住民参加の有効性確保に重要な役割を果たすことを指摘している
Understanding about the Nature of Scientific Knowledge -In Case of Science and/or Technology Major Students at University-\n
Get PDF本研究では、理工系学部の大学生を対象に、科学的知識の特質についての理解の実態を明らかにすることを目的とした。調査1では、私立S大学理工系学部において、2年次生48名と3年次生34名の合計82名を対象に、2013年度後学期の1月下旬に質問紙調査を実施した。調査2では、国立K大学理工系学部において、3年次生50名を対象に、2014年度前学期の5月下旬に質問紙調査を実施した。調査1と調査2の結果に見られる共通点は、次のように要約できる。理工系学部の大学生は、科学的知識の特質のうち「発展性」と「実証性」については理解できているが、その一方で、「創造性」と「簡潔性」については未理解であると言える。そして、このような科学的知識の特質についての未理解状況は、大学の学年段階の違いや国立・私立の違いにかかわらず、いずれの理工系大学生集団の間でも、ほとんど共通する傾向である。したがって、科学的知識の特質についての未理解状況は、理工系の大学教育によって質的に改善される可能性があるというよりは、むしろ、この種の固定観念や構えが大学以前の科学教育によって定着してしまっているのではないかということが推察される
Establishing Oral Reading Fluency Norms for Japanese English Language Learners
Get PDFThe present study aims to establish Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) norms for various CEFR proficiency levels as reported by the Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT). The participant population for the study consisted of a sample of incoming SILC English Communication 1 students whose OOPT results indicated that their English abilities fell within the A1 or A2 bands of the CEFR scale. To further refine fluency norms, the A2 band was subdivided into low and high according to raw scores. The researcher administered the ORF measure and recorded both the reading rate, Words Read Correctly per Minute (WCPM), and accuracy, WCPM divided by the total number of words read, of each participant. Scores were grouped according to CEFR proficiency level then analyzed to determine the mean speed and accuracy scores as well as the as the standard deviation for each level. Although reading rate and accuracy means were calculated for the A1, A2 (low), and A2 (high) levels, only the A2 (low) level contained a sufficiently large sample size (n=43) to enable the establishment of an ORF norm. Data from the remaining groups will be retained and augmented with further ORF testing of future intakes of SILC English Communication 1 students
