Design in education. Methodological and practical aspects on the basis of creating space for perceptual experiences
No full textThis paper presents the concept of combining design and research processes into one coherent undertaking
with the goal of achieving cognitive and practical results in the sphere of education. In the proposed method,
the design process has characteristics of a research process, and together they are treated as a design
methodology with its particularities suited to the field of education. This is illustrated in the second part of the
paper with examples of science centres and Early Education Lab (LWE) complete with phase and component
description typical for their design process. A significant topic discussed in the paper is the importance of the
stage of reflection and evaluation for the future of the projects.W tekście zaprezentowana została koncepcja połączenia procesów projektowania i badania w jedno spójne
przedsięwzięcie, którego celem jest uzyskanie efektów poznawczych i praktycznych w sferze edukacji.
W proponowanym podejściu proces projektowania posiada także cechy procesu badawczego a całość ujęta
została w postaci metodologii projektowania o specyfice dostosowanej do obszaru edukacji. Ilustracją tej
propozycji są zamieszczone w drugiej części tekstu przykłady projektów centrów naukowych oraz Laboratorium
Wczesnej Edukacji (LWE) wraz z opisem faz i cech charakterystycznych dla procesu ich projektowania.

No full textScholars, analyzing Halina Poswiatowska's writings, strongly emphasized the experience of sensuality in a boundary situation, exposed senses, their intensity, their role in the process of self-cognition, the Other, surroundings, manifesting self-thematic issues. The article elaborates on the American texts of the poet (autobiographical prose, poetry, correspondence to her family and friends) and focuses on building relationships with a metropolis, showing their role in the process of shaping the identity. It proves the author's interest in architectural diversity of the city, fascination, delight in its horizontal and vertical extent and also the feeling of despondence, longing and a desire for distance. Sustainable tourism versus wellbeing - the hosts and guests perspective
Get PDFIt would be an understatement to claim that the term “wellbeing’ is reaching its peak
of popularity nowadays. The term gained momentum in 2003-2005, following the
Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MEA) (2003, 2005) that opened the field for
interdisciplinary researches. In the MEA perspective, wellbeing is correlated with
sustainable development and with ecosystem services, both seen as inextricable
elements of one global process, necessary to lead properly to“our common future”.
The following article presents a theoretical analysis of the ‘wellbeing’ term in relation
to sustainable tourism and to host and guest communities. Wellbeing of hosts, in
accordance with UNWTO (2005) or UNGA (2015), should be achieved when
sustainable tourism guidelines are fulfilled. Wellbeing of guests is necessary to make
any destination attractive for tourism. For the start, their needs and expectations will
not overlap

Educational and professional aspirations of students
No full textEducational and professional aspirations are the desire to achieve significant education
level needed to perform planned profession. Aspirations determine people’s behaviours
and stimulate to realize life goals. Aspirations are one of people’s most important
reasons to perform, they have a big impact on taking innovative actions intended to transform
and improve people’s lives and their environment. Educational and professional
aspirations play a big role in the process of young people’s education and professional development.
In the case of graduates, finding stable and well-paid job is a priority. The aim
of the paper is to show the diagnosis outcome of first and second-degree students’ educational
and professional aspirations. In the case of first-degree students, educational and
professional aspirations link with continuing studies, whereas second-degree students are
ready to enter professional market and find employment. Education is a factor, which helps
them realize their life and professional plans.Aspiracje edukacyjno-zawodowe to chęć osiągnięcia znacznego poziomu wykształcenia
potrzebnego do wykonywania planowanego zawodu. Determinują zachowania ludzi,
pobudzają do realizacji planów życiowych. Są jednym z ważniejszych motywów ludzkiego
działania, mają duży wpływ na podejmowanie działań innowacyjnych zmierzających
do przekształcania i doskonalenia samego siebie oraz swego środowiska. Odgrywają
ogromną rolę w procesie kształcenia i rozwoju zawodowym młodych ludzi. W przypadku
absolwentów studiów wyższych wysoką pozycję wśród priorytetów zajmuje znalezienie
stałej i dobrze płatnej pracy. Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie wyników przeprowadzonej
diagnozy aspiracji edukacyjno-zawodowych studentów I i II stopnia studiów.
W przypadku studentów I stopnia aspiracje edukacyjno-zawodowe głównie wiążą się
z kontynuowaniem nauki, natomiast wśród studentów II stopnia widoczna jest gotowość
do wejścia na rynek pracy i pewność uzyskania zatrudnienia. Wykształcenie jest dla nich
czynnikiem prowadzącym do realizacji planów życiowych i zawodowych

No full textThe aim of the chapter is to investigate impoliteness in select samples extracted from the Polish media. The examination is threefold and encompasses the following levels of analysis: linguistic, pragmalinguistic and sociolinguistic. The data are presented from the following perspectives: the situational and linguistic background, immediate context, reflections on self-image/face of the sender and on social norms, intentions of the sender and the addressee, emotions and hierarchical interpersonal relationship (including the option of blocking a possible reply). Social reception of the impolite behaviour and the motivation behind it constitute an important part of the study

Get PDFIn the second half of the 19th century and in the early 20th century, there was a common belief that human sexuality, and all the more that of a child, is a secret and unchaste matter, and
therefore this sphere of life was a kind of taboo. The term “sex education”, which is a modern term, was not in use in the studied period. The subject of analyses presented in this paper is masturbation,
often also referred to as onanism or self-abuse, which for many centuries was considered an offence against nature and culture. The following text was devoted masturbation in childhood, in the second
half of the 19th and the early 20th centuries. Educational guides (including religious ones), as well as those in hygiene and health care, were the source basis of the findings made. The aim of the paper is
to attempt to systematize the views dedicated to the key issue presented by authors of those guides (teachers and educators, doctors, priests). Recommendations regarding the prevention, diagnosis,
consequences, and treatment of self-abuse in children and adolescents, formulated on the pages of those guides, will also be reconstructed.W drugiej połowie XIX i na początku XX w. panowało powszechne przekonanie, iż seksualność człowieka, a tym bardziej dziecka, jest sprawą tajemną i nieczystą, i dlatego tę sferę życia otaczano swoistym tabu. Termin wychowanie seksualne, który jest terminem współczesnym, w badanym okresie nie funkcjonował. Przedmiotem prezentowanych analiz jest onanizm, zwany często masturbacją lub samogwałtem, który przez długie stulecia uznawany był za występek przeciwko naturze i kulturze. Poniższy tekst poświęcony został onanii w okresie dzieciństwa w drugiej połowie XIX i na początku XX w. Podstawą źródłową dokonanych ustaleń uczyniono poradniki wychowawcze (w tym religijne), a także z zakresu higieny i lecznictwa. Celem tekstu jest próba systematyki poglądów poświęconych kluczowemu zagadnieniu, prezentowanych przez autorów poradników. Odtworzone zostaną także formułowane na stronach poradników zalecenia w kwestii zapobiegania, rozpoznawania, następstw oraz leczenia samogwałtu u dzieci i młodzieży
Comparative analysis of optimism and life satisfaction in Brazilian male and female Ju-Jitsu society
Get PDFAim: The comparision of the level of optimism and life satisfaction of men and women in the Brazilian ju-jitsu population, based on the average result of these characteristics of Polish society. Material and Methods: The group of 63 former and current paricipants being in training was exemined in Brsilian Ju-Jitsu (27 women and 36 men) and 76 being out of training participants from the minitoring group (38 women and 38 men) using the SWLS (Satisfaction with Life Scale) test to define the level of life satisfaction and the LOT-R (Life Orientation Test Revised) test to define the level of optimism. Results: There were significant differences in the level of optimism and life satisfaction among BJJ participants and those who did not practice any physical activity. The different responses of BJJ training to the "psyche" of men and women were also revealed as well as the little influence of sociological factors. Conclusions: The Brazilian Ju-Jitsu training significantly improves mental well-bing of a person. The sociological factors seem to have a minor effect on the state of "psyche" of BJJ paricipants

muzyki, a przede wszystkim uczenie się gry na instrumencie oraz nabywanie wiedzy teoretyczno-muzycznej, przyczynia się do wspomagania ogólnego rozwoju młodego człowieka. Artykuł zawiera także podstawowe informacje o możliwości występowania zmian neuro anatomicznych, które mogą pojawiać się na skutek regularnej, wieloletniej edukacji muzycznej.
Na zakończenie Autorka polemizuje i obala swoiste mity, które mogą występować w powszechnym postrzeganiu szkolnictwa muzycznego
