Some Problems Connected with Examining Silence and Being Quiet while Interaction Rituals and Everyday Conversations
Both conversational analysis and examination of interactive rituals concentrate on distinguishing the structure of everyday conversations and language definition of social situations of the social interaction participants. It seems though that the researchers devote too little attention to the development of methods and techniques of research, detailed analysis of the transcription of keeping quiet by the participants of the social interaction. The aim of the article is to focus attention on the problems of treating meaningful silence by researchers as a speech, the tool and means of social actor expression, as important as other parts of speech. Some social contexts and conditions of silence were shown within different situations and worlds. The causes, results and myths of employees silence were presented. Silence was analysed in the context of existing in social worlds orders as a sign of crystallization and formation of statuses and micro social processes with special attention on the role of silence of social actors. The text uses some experience of language researchers, sociologists of language and emotion
Structural-Geometric Functionalization of the Additively Manufactured Prototype of Biomimetic Multispiked Connecting Ti-Alloy Scaffold for Entirely Noncemented Resurfacing Arthroplasty Endoprostheses
The multispiked connecting scaffold (MSC-Scaffold) prototype, inspired by the biological system of anchorage of the articular
cartilage in the periarticular trabecular bone by means of subchondral bone interdigitations, is the essential innovation in
fixation of the bone in resurfacing arthroplasty (RA) endoprostheses. The biomimetic MSC‐Scaffold, due to its complex
geometric structure, can be manufactured only using additive technology, for example, selective laser melting (SLM). The
major purpose of this work is determination of constructional possibilities for the structural-geometric functionalization
of SLM‐manufactured MSC‐Scaffold prototype, compensating the reduced ability-due to the SLM technological limitations—to
accommodate the ingrowing bone filling the interspike space of the prototype, which is important for the prototype
bioengineering design. Confocal microscopy scanning of components of the SLM‐manufactured prototype of total hip
resurfacing arthroplasty (THRA) endoprosthesis with the MSC‐Scaffold was performed. It was followed by the geometric
measurements of a variety of specimens designed as the fragments of the MSC-Scaffold of both THRA endoprosthesis
components. The reduced ability to accommodate the ingrowing bone tissue in the SLM‐manufactured prototypes versus
that in the corresponding CAD models has been quantitatively determined. Obtained results enabled to establish a way of
compensatory structural‐geometric functionalization, allowing the MSC‐Scaffold adequate redesigning and manufacturing in
additive SLM technology
Szpital jako pogranicze kulturowe. Zmagania z wzajemną Obcością
Szpital to specyficzne miejsce.
Autor następnie dokonuje próby określenia sfer Inności i Obcości związanych z cierpieniem, chorowaniem i umieraniem oraz przedstawia propozycję modelu dialogu w ramach tych sfer
Kompetencje zawodowe trenerów w kształceniu i szkoleniu zawodowym w branży budowlanej w Polsce, Francji i Rumunii
The article presents the selected results of the comparative analysis of professional competence standards for the VET trainers in the construction sector, carried out within the Erasmus+ project „Certified VET trainer in the construction sector”. The aim of this study is to provide an overview of VET area in the construction sector and especially the requirements for the VET trainers in this specialisation, which until now have not been researched as such. The findings are used to identify the key issues and problems as well as areas where actions are most urgently needed to make working in this specific field of vocational education and training more attractive
Przemoc i społeczne skutki konfliktów w Liberii i Sierra Leone
Artykuł opisuje specyfi kę konfliktów w Liberii i Sierra Leone. W artykule wykorzystana została historyczno-analityczna metoda badawcza

The article deals with an explanatory style associated with optimism and pessimism in the group of special
education students. The first part of the article contains an introduction to the theoretical basis of positive
psychology. The next section provides an explanation of terminology and the results of the research on the
impact of optimism and pessimism on the functioning of the individual and particularly on the academic
community. The article emphasizes the importance of the explanatory style of special education students and
its impact on their professional development. The second part of the paper includes the results of the study
carried out in the Pedagogical University of Cracow. The article concludes with the summary, conclusions and
practical implications.Niniejszy artykuł dotyczy stylów wyjaśniania związanych z optymizmem i pesymizmem w grupie studentów
pedagogiki specjalnej. Pierwsza część artykułu zawiera wprowadzenie na temat teoretycznych podstaw
psychologii pozytywnej. W kolejnej części przedstawiono wyjaśnienia terminologiczne oraz wyniki badań
dotyczących wpływu optymizmu i pesymizmu na funkcjonowanie jednostki, w szczególności społeczności
akademickiej.
KEN w Krakowie. Artykuł kończy podsumowanie i wnioski oraz implikacje praktyczne
The expectations of young people towards modern school
The constant process of globalization, the rapid civilizational and technological advances
confront the modern school with many difficult tasks, like preparing youth for
a changing world. Does the modern school deal with these challenges? What are the expectations
