No full textThis article draws attention to non-medical aspects of malignant diseases in children, concentrates on the psychological and pedagogical problems which arise in their progress and concern the whole family. The author focuses especially on the fact that parents’ and healthy siblings’ problems cannot be treated as less important than the congenital disorder of an ill child. The widely presented theory of this issue informs the reader how the members of a family feel, what attitudes they adopt and how they deal with this difficult situation since receiving the information about the child’s disease till the end of the treatment, coming back home or the death of a child patient.Niniejszy artykuł zwraca uwagę na pozamedyczne aspekty choroby nowotworowej wieku dziecięcego, koncentruje się na problemach psychologiczno-pedagogicznych mogących pojawić się w jej przebiegu i obejmujących swym zasięgiem całą rodzinę. Autor zwraca szczególną uwagę na fakt, iż problemy rodziców i zdrowego rodzeństwa nie należy traktować jako mniej ważne niż zaburzenia w rozwoju przewlekle chorego dziecka. Szeroko przedstawiona teoria podejmowanego zagadnienia dostarcza czytelnikowi informacji co przeżywają, jakie postawy przyjmują i jak sobie radzą z tą trudną sytuacją członkowie rodziny, od momentu otrzymania informacji o chorobie dziecka, aż do czasu zakończenia procesu leczenia, powrotu do domu bądź śmierci małego pacjenta
Analysis of children's art works from the perspective of the classic perception of beauty
No full textThe main purpose of the presented considerations is to show the features of a child’s creation, referring to The Great Theory of Beauty, the main determinants of which are: proportion, symmetry, harmony and order. The analysis is an attempt to answer the question if children creating their unhampered art works aim at the original canon of beauty, the knowledge of which is the basis of all artistic projects. The considerations are preceded by a short introduction, mainly including the phenomenon of a definitional polyphony of the concept of beauty, as well as the analyzed and presented essence of the problem. The first chapter of his work is an attempt to show the main determinants of the classical theory of beauty, with a general, although necessary justification of these considerations. The next chapter should be considered as the real analysis of children’s selected art works including the basic categories. The third chapter is the summary of the presented analysis.Głównym celem zaprezentowanych rozważań jest ukazanie specyficznych cech dzieła dziecięcego, nawiązujących do Wielkiej Teorii Piękna, za której główne wyznaczniki niezaprzeczalnie uznać należy proporcję, symetrię, ład i harmonię. dokonana analiza stanowi próbę odpowiedzenia na pytanie, czy dzieci tworząc swobodne prace plastyczne, dążą do pierwotnego kanonu piękna, którego znajomość stanowi podstawę wszelkiego rodzaju przedsięwzięć artystycznych. Proponowane rozważania poprzedzone zostały krótkim wstępem, obejmującym zjawisko definicyjnej polifoniczności pojęcia piękna, a także istotę analizowanego i prezentowanego problemu. Pierwsza część pracy stanowi próbę ukazania głównych wyznaczników klasycznej teorii piękna wraz z ogólnym, aczkolwiek koniecznym uzasadnieniem kierunku rozważań. Rozdział następny uznać należy za faktyczną analizę wybranych prac dziecięcych z uwzględnieniem podstawowych kategorii. Family environmental factors in conditioning of aggressive strategy of gymnasium students to cope in social conflict situations
No full textThe objective of the study was to identify family determinants of aggression strategy used by adolescents in social conflict situations from among educational attitudes and the pattern of coping with difficult situations used by parents. The study employed SPR M. Plopa's questionnaire to test the perception of parental attitudes, a proprietary questionnaire to test the parents coping strategies in social conflict situations (SRWSK) and a proprietary questionnaire to test the coping strategies of youth in social conflict situations (KSRK). Empirical research involved 892 adolescents (467 girls and 425 boys) aged 13-15. In light of the performed tests it has been found that adolescents’ aggressive response to emotional
tension, arising in a social conflict situation, is shaped by inappropriate educational attitudes characterised by lack of stability in behaviour of the mother and the father towards an adolescent. Moreover, an important factor of a family system, contributing to the development of aggression strategies of young people coping in social conflict situations, is to pass onto adolescent children the patterns of aggression strategies by the parents
Sense of meaning in life of adolescents and their conceptions of the personal future
Get PDFThe needs of individual to find meaning in his own life and to build own future conception are considered as important regulators of youth activity. This is a thesis accepted in psychological literature (Tyszkowa, 1990). Their realization is not only provided a positive transition of a youth to adulthood but also sets the framework for their further development. The article presents the results of research on the relation between sense of meaning in life and personal future conceptions built by modern young people. The results indicate that a relatively strong sense of meaning in life is characteristic for these adolescents, which created the conceptions of life with a high level of structuration
Sense of sexual attractiveness, sexual behaviors and satisfaction in gay men and lesbians in late adulthood
No full textThe aim of this paper is to present the results of studies on the influence of self-evaluation of sexual attractiveness on sexual behaviors and satisfaction of gay men and lesbians in late adulthood. Within the framework of the project it was assumed that global self-evaluation of sexual attractiveness consists of: sense of physical attractiveness and self-evaluation of sexual ability. Interesting results of studies are the following findings: (1) generally sense of physical attractiveness seems to have a stronger influence on sexual behavior than self-evaluation of sexual ability; (2) in the lesbians' group in late adulthood there is a stronger influence of the sense of physical attractiveness on sexual behaviors than in the gay men's group, and (3) in the men's group in late adulthood there is a stronger influence of self-assessment of sexual ability on sexual behaviors than in the women's group
