Modelling and analysis of lower limb joint loads during the Naeryo chagi technique in taekwondo
Get PDFStudy aim: estimate reaction forces and muscle torque in lower limb joints during the Naeryo chagi technique in taekwondo. Material and methods: the parameters of the Naeryo chagi kick were measured with a Vicon motion tracking system comprising ten MX T40S cameras, two reference cameras and four AMTI BP600900-2000 force plates. Additional measurements were performed using the BTS-4AP-2K force analysis system equipped with a WB-4AP punching bag. The acquired raw data were processed and synchronized using Matlab v.R2007a software. A computer simulation created on the basis of the adopted mathematical model was used to identify reaction forces and control moments. Results: the highest joint loads occurred at the moment when the striking leg reversed its movement direction from rising to rapidly falling towards the target. The knee and ankle joints of the supporting leg were subject to greatest reaction forces and muscle torque. Conclusions: it is recommended to follow an exercise routine aimed at strengthening and stabilizing the structures of motor system subject to the greatest load
Comparison of two boxing training simulators
Get PDFStudy aim: the aim of the study was to compare two methods for measuring punching and kicking force and the reaction time of athletes. Material and methods: both systems were designed to measure and to analyse the mechanical characteristics of punches and strikes delivered by upper and lower limbs to a punching bag. The main difference between both punching bags was the way in which the delivered force was measured. The first method used strain gauges while the second method used accelerometer technology. Both systems consisted of a punching bag with software, attached signal diodes, and either embedded accelerometers or strain gauges. The bags were of different sizes. Acceleration transducers and gyroscopes or strain gauges were placed inside the punching bags, which allowed for measuring dynamics while the bag was struck. The software calculated strike force, the point of force application and its direction, and reaction time. Both systems were tested. Results: the results of the accelerometer-based method show that the mean relative error of force calculation amounts to 3%. The measurement error of acceleration is less than 1%. The mean relative measurement error of the striking surface on the punching bag is 2%. However, the measurement error of force recorded with the strain gauge-based method is less than 1%. The results show that both systems are similar. Conclusions: the punching bag having an embedded accelerometer is equipped with more versatile software, which makes the system a good tool for practical application in combat sport training

Get PDFComputer viruses are currently affecting the operat ion of multiple systems, as well as biological viruses on the human body. There are many similarities in the operation of a biological and computer viruses in many aspects of their operation. The development of operating systems, functions that they provide, has also led to the evolution of computer viruses. They infect currently various elements of the system and are moved by other mechanisms. Mechanisms used in operating systems and the development of programming languages meant that writing computer viruses or trojans programs has become easier, and the use of security mechanisms in the system is now necessary. In this article the authors on the basis of two examples of viruses source codes show their evolution and analyze the impact of the evolution of operating systems on their modes of infection.Wirusy komputerowe mają obecnie wpływ na działanie wielu systemów, tak samo jak wirusy biologiczne na organizm człowieka. Można znaleźć podobieństwa w działaniu virusów komputerowych do biologicznym w wielu aspektach ich działania. Rozwój systemów operacyjnych, funkcji jakie dostarczają, spowodował również ewolucję virusów. Zarażają obecnie różne elementy systemu i są przenoszone za pomocą innych mechanizmów. Zastosowane mechanizmy w systemach operacyjnych jak i rozwój języków programowania spowodował, że pisanie virusów, czy uciążliwych programów stało się prostsze, a stosowanie mechanizmów zabezpieczeń w systemie jest obecnie konieczne. Macedonia as a potential direction of cultural tourism
No full textThe purpose of this article is to present the cultural values of Macedonia, especially the cultural heritage without forgetting the natural beauty of this country which is still poorly known and yet in many ways very appealing to travellers interested in cultural (and not only cultural) tourism. The organizational structure of the text which by its assumption is not to replace guides, is based on typology of tourism developed by Armin Mikos von Rohrscheidt.
The analysis shows that Macedonia is a country which has powerful potential when it comes to cultural heritage. Those interested will find there captivating ancient monuments, impressive array of architectural objects and examples of medieval paintings as well as of Islamic art from the period of the Ottoman empire and many other items worthy of one’s attention. There are several towns that are worth visiting due to their complexes of monuments of a historical importance in an European or at least in the Balkan scale. At
the top of the list are Ohrid and Skopje followed by such little treasures as Bitola, Trellis, Prilep and Strumica. Meriting attention and recommendation as tourist destinations are Macedonian villages where one can still observe various manifestations of the living folk culture. Numerous cultural values of the country are complemented by its rich and beautiful nature. The article includes proposition to spend a few days in the eastern part of Macedonia,
in Strumica and its surroundings, as well as a plan for a nine days trip under the heading: The Trail of the Most Important Monasteries of Macedonia.Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie walorów kulturowych czyli de facto najważniejszych przykładów dziedzictwa kulturowego i przyrodniczego Macedonii, wciąż słabo znanej, a bardzo pod wieloma względami atrakcyjnej destynacji dla turystów kulturowych (i nie tylko). Za strukturę organizacyjną tekstu, z założenia nie mającego zastępować przewodników, przyjęto typologię turystyki kulturowej opracowaną przez Armina Mikosa von Rohrscheidt. Przeprowadzona analiza wykazała, że Macedonia jest krajem dysponującym potężnym potencjałem w zakresie dziedzictwa kulturowego. Zainteresowani znajdą tam interesujące zabytki antyczne, imponujący zespół obiektów architektonicznych i przykładów malarstwa średniowiecznego, ciekawe przykłady sztuki islamu czasów panowania tureckiego i inne. Warte uwagi jest kilka miast będących kompleksami zabytków ważnymi w skali europejskiej, a przynajmniej bałkańskiej. Na czoło listy miast wysuwają się Ochryda i Skopje, a uzupełniają ją Bitola, Kratowo, Prilep i Strumica. Godne uwagi jako cele wędrówek są także macedońskie wsie, w których wciąż można zaobserwować różnorodne przejawy żywej kultury ludowej. Liczne walory kulturowe kraju uzupełnia bogata i piękna przyroda.
W artykule znalazły się: propozycja spędzenia kilku dni we wschodniej części Macedonii, w Strumicy i jej okolicach oraz projekt dziewięciodniowej podróży tematycznej „Szlakiem ważniejszych monastyrów Macedonii”
