Contextual Conditionality of the Quality of Social Environment of Development in Early Childhood in Poland
Get PDFThe article presents results of research study on quality of the social environment of development in early childhood and its contextual determinants. The research was conducted within 2010-2012. The participants consisted of 972 children aged between 1 to 41 months and their parents who are of different socioeconomic status, living in different parts of Poland. The research was carried out in the domestic space, which is the most natural environment for children. The American IT HOME Inventory (Infant/Todler Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment) by Caldwell and Bradley in Polish adaptation IT-HOME/PL was used. Conducted research allows to indicate factors which are the determinants of the quality of child’s social environment in Poland, directions of farthest research

Get PDFThis paper includes an analysis of the term “audiation”, which, according to the Edwina E. Gordon’s theory, describes the method of imagining the phenomenon of internal understanding of music and the method of filling this picture with a particular content. it transpires that such conceptualisation of the term “audiation” in studies on musical education of children can be inspired by interdisciplinary reflections of such researchers as: D. Kahneman, A. Tversky, B. Reimer or H. Blumer. The reason to apply this new, interdisciplinary view on the field of describing “audiation” as the main conceptual category of Gordon’s Theory of Music Learning and supporting a dispute on the need and current problems in Polish educational studies on experiencing music by children were selected theoretical conclusions by E.A. Zwolińsk
Kilka uwag o przydatności chaosu w szkole
Get PDFNowoczesne idee w oświacie, w tym m.in. edukacyjny konstruktywizm, kreatywność, aktywność, zderzają się z codzienną praktyką, w której wciąż dominuje uprzedmiotowienie uczniów i nauczanie podające. Większość nauczycieli wzbrania się przed odejściem od działań rutynowych, uporządkowanych i przewidywalnych. Tymczasem aktywizujący, kreatywny proces dydaktyczny niesie duże ryzyko wystąpienia zdarzeń nie-przewidywalnych, zakłócenia porządku, czy wręcz wkradania się na lekcje sporej dawki chaosu. Jednakże brak porządku nie powinien być traktowany jako zjawisko niepożądane, lecz jako warunek niezbędny skutecznego procesu dydaktycznego, traktującego uczniów podmiotowo. Główna przyczyna lęku wielu nauczycieli przed chaosem tkwi w powszechnym braku ich poczucia podmiotowości
Modification of Joints in Polymer Timing Belts
Get PDFTeeth deformation measurements in the connection area indicate that each method of welded joint improvement, decreases deformation and thus improves power transfer capacity of joined belts. In the selected study it means deformation of the connection zone.
The difficulties with preparation of strenghtening element significantly reduced selection of solutions. The best results were obtained within belts with connected cord ends and in solutions with restricted load-carrying layer. Depending on the structural solution applied in the cord ends connection, the force transfer capacity is from several to several dozen percent higher. As indicated by the proposed equations, the engagement conditions between belt and pulley can be improved by using pulleys with maximum possible number of teeth, in standard version or even with increased lateral gap

They cause, inter alia, the standardization of transmissions and distorting reality. Illusory NATO - Russia partnership during the crisis and building superpower status of the Russian Federation
No full textThe aim of the article is to analyze the relationship between NATO and the Russian Federation. Deliberations are conducted within the institutional and historical-problematic approach. The author characterizes the institutional framework for cooperation between NATO and Russia, as well as discusses the factors which are barriers to this cooperation. Therefore focuses on the most important issues of common interest of partners, such as the problem of stabilizing the security environment, the fight against international terrorism, the use of the armed forces in foreign policy, the process of NATO enlargement and the maintaining of strategic balance between parties. The Author is skeptical about the possibility of establishing a lasting partnership between NATO and Russia. He indicates the difference between the period of the 90s of the twentieth century, when was evident weakness and submission of Russia to NATO and the beginning of the twenty-first century, when is an attempt of rebuilding Russia’s superpower in a manner unacceptable by NATO.Celem artykułu jest analiza stosunków między NATO a Federacją Rosyjską. Rozważania prowadzone są w ujęciu instytucjonalnym i historyczno-problemowym. Autor charakteryzuje proces tworzenia ram instytucjonalnych dla współpracy między NATO i Rosją, jak również omawia czynniki stanowiące bariery tej współpracy. What kind of freedom? The dilemma of democracy
No full textSince the ancient times there has been a continuing discourse on the nature and scope of freedom and civic and human right in the more or less liberal democracy. This paper contains a critical analysis and assessment of the most important opinions concerning the both political and economic freedom and the interpretations of that concept in the political practice. This article argues that, contrary to the beliefs of most people, freedom and human rights do not come from nature, but they are the result of the society, s consensus, especially that part of the society, which participates in the elections. The voters agree to allow the winning political party to realize its program also in the respect to freedom and civic (human) rights. On the other hand the politicians try to secure the appropriate equilibrium between the political and economic freedom, which supports the stabilization of a given political system and is conducive to the economic growth.Od starożytności trwają dyskusje na temat istoty i zakresu wolności jako podstawowego filaru demokracji.
