Sacrum in the contemporary culture
No full textThis paper touches on the various types of the sacred present in the contemporary culture. The Polish sacred humanistic research placed sacrum in opposition to the profanum (according to the tradition of anthropological thought and religious studies). At the beginning of the twenty-first century a differentiation within this category has emerged. In the popular culture and in the works dedicated two human’s changing situation in the world today. Sacrum is associated with the profanum on the principle of mutual penetration or replacement and takes the form referred to as sacrofanum. In contrast, in a religious reality it remains a distinct value, though, it appears in two versions – as an unequivocally good sanctum (holiness) or as ordinary, ambivalent sacred, consisting of positive and negative elements. The need to distinguish between holiness and sacred is explained in present-day theological and philosophical thought. The ambivalent nature of sacrum may also be seen
outside the religious denomination. In the contemporary art with high aspirations the sacred value focuses mainly on the negative side and evenis considered as the anti-sacrum. After all, despite the axiological and apophatic erring this work receives the cultural justification
in the universal apocatastasis belief
Diagnosis and work with children affected by sexual violence
No full textSexual abuse of a child is evil not in itself, but an evil arising from the deprivation of the child’s carefree ability
to enter into relationships, establish relationships, showing and accepting feelings.
Children badly treated in such an intimate sphere as sexuality are exposed to a number of mental and health
disorders. People who experienced this type of violence in childhood have difficulty in accepting their own
body or having self-respect and respect towards others. The earlier the diagnosis the greater the chances of
stopping the destructive thoughts and beliefs of the child.
In Poland, the awareness of sexual violence against children is growing and therefore social sensitivity to the
suffering of a child is increasing. Thanks to the media, persons affected by sexual violence have an opportunity
to talk about traumatic experiences and thus encourage the institutions and people to make efforts to help
alleviate the phenomenon. Knowledge of teachers and people who work with or care for children can play
a special role. This article contains a number of helpful ways to diagnose and deal with situations of sexual
violence, which may prove useful.Wykorzystanie seksualne dziecka jest złem nie samym w sobie, ale jest złem wynikającym z pozbawienia
dziecka beztroskiej umiejętności wchodzenia w relacje międzyludzkie, nawiązywania relacji, okazywania
i przyjmowania uczuć. Dziecko skrzywdzone, w tak intymnej sferze, jaką jest jego seksualność, jest narażone
na szereg zaburzeń psychicznych i zdrowotnych. Osoby, które doświadczyły w dzieciństwie tego rodzaju
przemocy, mają trudności w akceptowaniu własnego ciała, szacunku do siebie i do innych. Im wcześniejsza
diagnoza, tym większe szanse na zatrzymanie destrukcyjnych myśli i przekonań dziecka.
W Polsce świadomość przemocy seksualnej wobec dziecka jest coraz większa i tym samym wzrasta wrażliwość
społeczna na krzywdę dziecka. Dzięki środkom masowego przekazu osoby dotknięte przemocą seksualną
mają możliwość opowiedzenia o traumatycznych przeżyciach i zachęcają tym samym do zaktywizowania
instytucji oraz ludzi do podjęcia starań w celu niwelowania omawianego zjawiska. Szczególną rolę może
odegrać wiedza nauczycieli oraz innych osób, którzy współpracują lub opiekują się dziećmi. Niniejszy artykuł
zawiera szereg pomocnych sposobów diagnozowania oraz działania w sytuacji przemocy seksualnej, co może
okazać się przydatne

One of such opportunities constitute (Internet) forums, including those set up with the
view to expressing opinions about services offered, for instance, in a particular town. Yet,
it should be noted that not only can forum users recommend these services, but, driven by
their personal negative experiences, they can attempt at discouraging other people from
using them. What is more, it sometimes happens that posts published on web forums are
of defamatory character. It occurs when they make possible the identification of persons
or entities that are the target of untrue comments contained therein. Such practice may
prove seriously harmful to the credibility and reputation of the wrongly accused service
providers, so necessary for their thriving in public space.W przestrzeni wirtualnej istnieją możliwości wypowiadania się na różne tematy.
Jedną z takich możliwości dają fora internetowe, w tym tworzone dla oceny usług i innych

Get PDFThis article is an attempt to measure the complementarity of phenomenology (not only in Lévinas’ understanding) and the possibility of using it to explore and research the exceptional works with which Marta Tomczyk has endowed modern culture. The artist, through a frank auto-vivisection in one of her cycles of paintings, invites the viewer to a meeting with the 'Other'.
