Improved Business Climate and FDI in the Western Balkans
Abstract: The process of economical and political transition in the Western Balkans, up to this point has shown a high correlation between achieved economical results and the determination of national authorities for drawing and implementing policies for economical stabilization and development as well as structural reforms with the support of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other relevant international institutions.
The analyzed countries from the Western Balkans region have managed to achieve appropriate levels of macroeconomic stability and an improvement of the business climate due to the implemented reforms, these countries have not been successful enough in attracting Foreign Direct Investments as a precondition to ensure a more dynamic economical development and an appropriate fall in the level of unemployment and poverty.
A comparative analysis of the real economic indicators of the Western Balkans countries as contracted to the EU average shows that these countries are well under the real convergence levels of the EU countries.
The main objective of the paper is to provide some additional arguments regarding the potential positive or negative correlation between the business climate and the levels of Foreign Direct Investments in the Western Balkans countries, some of which are already members of the EU and others aspiring to become members in the future, having in mind the asymmetric economic positions of the countries being analyzed.

Irony in William Blake’s Poetry
Irony, stating something meaning another, turns into a philosophical method of understanding opposite concepts with Friedrich Schlegel’s Fragments published in the eighteenth century. It accords irony an ontological and epistemological function and changes its scope. William Blake, one of the prominent names of Romantic poetry, employs the binary oppositions and creates a different perspective of irony. In addition to the usage of traditional binary systems such as; good and evil, heaven and hell, he structures new binary systems. The traditional binary systems used by Blake are challenging as he redefines the opposite concepts in a holistic manner. On analyzing these three poems; “The Marriage of Heaven and Hell”, “The Tyger” and “The Lamb” it would be fair to claim that he presents a different perspective of construing the world with the employment of irony using integrative binary oppositions in the Romantic period.

Actualities of Moralization of Contract Law
Summary: Morality is not acquired characteristic of a person. One is not born as a moral person, as he is born with some innate, natural laws, that can never be taken away from him. If, however, they are forcefully taken away, they keep returning again and again, in the same form and capacity. A person is virtuous or he is not. Predominant number of individuals in one social group that behave morally make up the group’s morals. However, in the essence of the matter, there is no such thing as a collective morality, just like there is no collective guilt. It is unthinkable to mark members of certain or religious group as moral and immoral, if all they are doing is obeying moral norms or codes. Morality is the way that a person treats goodness, that is, customs of goodness. Obeying these moral codes is what makes up his moral stance and moral behavior. The contract on consumer credit in Swiss francs undermining the stability of the banking market. The moral behavior of the participants of this contractual relationship would stop the current controversy

EUROPEAN BANKING UNION: EFFECTS AND CHALLENGES
Abstract: This paper analyzes impact of new banking structure on different countries.
Analysis include banking sectors of both: European Union members and non-European
Union member’s countries. For the purpose of analysis, data from these banking and
financial sectors for period 2008-2014 were used. European banking sector as well
as entire financial sector integration is necessary. This necessity is deduced from the
problems in this banking sector. Namely, widespread connection between banks and
sovereigns which was detected by analysis of these two types of debts. Fragmentation
of the Eurozone credit markets was, mainly, caused by sovereign debt crisis due their
extremely high correlation. Analysis has shown that this was especially emphasized
in peripheral countries of Eurozone. This was disclosed through correlation analysis of
sovereign and bank Credit Default Risk premium. Therefore, banking union with good
absorbing shock mechanism at union level, credible discipline on state level as well
as with central regulatory mechanism should resulted in reduction of this correlation
and its complete elimination in the long run. However, potential benefits of this new
structure will be unequally distributed. Actually, effects will depend on number and
size of banks which are located in certain country

BENEFIT ANALYSIS OF A DEVELOPING MARKETS STOCK EXCHANGE MERGERS: CASE OF A BORSA ISTANBUL AND SARAJEVO STOCK EXCHANGE
Abstract: Whether due to mentality or the lack of investment ‘culture’, but people in
the Balkans have certain repulsion towards investing in financial instruments offered by
the local exchanges. Based on the public opinion one can conclude that most of the
people are reluctant to invest in the financial instruments because they can’t rely on
the trustworthiness and credibility of the local exchanges, due to corruption scandals,
misconduct and wrongdoings that happened in the recent history. Since its inception,
Sarajevo Stock Exchange has been suffering from extremely low volume and poor
investment liquidity that in the end resulted with choppiness and overall instability in
the market. Turkey’s main stock exchange, Borsa Istanbul, which is 80 times larger
than SASE, has openly expressed interest in direct cooperation with Sarajevo Stock
Exchange and that strategic move can certainly reduce or even eliminate problems
local investors face.
This study examines the effect of benefits and costs of the cooperation between Borsa
Istanbul and Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE). Multiple facets of the benefits and costs
are examined and their effect on the macro and micro scale. Macro effects of the
raising stake of Borsa Istanbul in SASE include effects on government, municipality and
overall economic level, while micro effect is the direct effect to the ‘end-consumer’,
a small investor.
The secondary data will be used in analysis of benefits to costs with the side by side
comparison and eventual derivation of the Benefit/Cost ratio (BCR) that will test the
hypothesis that benefits highly outweigh the costs in this cooperation.
The research shows that raising the stake of Borsa Istanbul in SASE will bring a new level
of professionalism and trust in a corruption and unprofessionalism ridden SASE. In
addition Borsa Istanbul will open new market horizons to investors from Bosnia and as
an outcome we should see and increase in market liquidity, trading volume and even
the BDP of both countries

This study has been an attempt to investigate the learning styles and strategies, word learning
strategies and social self-esteem of students in EFL classes at Intermediate level in the Sarajevo International
Colleges in Vraca and Ilıdža in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Hercegovina. For this purpose, 100 students at two colleges
have been applied a questionnaire containing various vocabulary learning strategies and their learning
preferences, styles and social self-esteems have been examined. SPINO instrument (PANAS - Positive and
Negative Affective Schedule, SOSA scales Social Self-Esteem Scale, The Learning Style Inventory (LSI
2011), and Inventory for Vocabulary Learning Strategies were used to carry out the implementation part of
our study. In order to collect the data, this study was based on a design including quantitative data analysis
by using questionnaires. The study intends to describe an experience connected to the systematic use of
vocabulary learning activities connected with the learning styles to enhance students’ self- esteem and thus,
promote language learning. The correlations between active learning strategies, emotional states and social
self-esteem have been significant and positive. In our study, it has been concluded that vocabulary learning
strategies produce positive emotions and there is a positive correlation between these two variables.Positive
emotions and higher social self-esteem give rise to more usage of different learning strategies. As teachers, we
are in a constant search to work on the social-emotional development of students. By developing a feeling of
social self-esteem in what they learn lexically, they build self-acceptance and trust through expanding their
vocabulary knowledge. The content relates real life situations to their own feelings, beliefs, needs, values and
experiences. It is worth mentioning the fact that the students were observed to get in touch with the positive
qualities of themselves with self-esteem and introspection, learning unknown words emphasizing selfdiscovery
and their own strengths concretely. The results of learning styles identification instruments
showed that learning styles of students can be diagnosed quite reliably. The research proved that students
can learn better when they are taught through the certain methods that reflect their specific learning styles.
In this paper we are discussing the pedagogical implications of this work and offering a model for the EFL
teachers to manage this field in their work
