    Dinamika Pondok Pesantren Jamsaren Surakarta: Kajian Historis-Sosiologis

    This research, entitled “The Dynamics of Jamsaren Islamic Boarding School in Surakarta”, aims to describe the historical development of Pondok Pesantren Jamsaren Surakarta from its establishment in 1750 to the present day and to analyze the factors influencing its growth. The study employs a historical-sociological approach with a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation from both primary and secondary sources. The findings reveal that the Jamsaren Islamic Boarding School has undergone three major phases of development: (1) the formative phase and the planting of prophetic values (±1750–early 19th century); (2) the phase of revival, struggle, and regeneration (19th–20th century); and (3) the phase of modernization and social adaptation (late 20th century–present). The dynamics of the pesantren were influenced by internal factors such as leadership regeneration, curriculum reform, and the independence of the students, as well as external factors such as socio-political conditions, formal education development, and modern societal demands. Each leadership period demonstrated adaptive responses to changing times. The Jamsaren Islamic Boarding School has successfully maintained its existence for more than two and a half centuries by balancing traditional Islamic values with modern educational needs. Thus, it stands as a dynamic and contextual Islamic educational institution that continues to contribute to Indonesia’s Islamic education system

    The Darma Ayu Sport Center in Indramayu is a public sports facility with strategic potential as a center for community activities. However, the existing condition of the building and its area shows a number of problems, such as declining physical quality, suboptimal supporting facilities, and the lack of area planning that can accommodate social functions optimally. The purpose of this design is to redesign the Darma Ayu Sport Center into a creative public space that is functional, representative, and supports the development of sports potential and community social interaction. The method used is an architectural design method with an approach of field studies, site analysis, precedent studies, post-occupancy evaluations and contemporary architectural design concepts. The design results present a revitalization of the main sports arena building, the addition of integrated commercial areas, green zones, pedestrian circulation, and interactive open spaces. The proposed architectural concept emphasizes the integration of sports functions and public spaces with a contemporary character that is responsive to the tropical climate, aesthetically pleasing, and inclusive of various user groups

    The waste management issue in Pemalang Regency has become increasingly complex in line with population growth and economic activities, resulting in overcapacity at the Pesalakan Final Disposal Site (TPA). The conventional waste management system, with minimal technological integration, has further exacerbated environmental degradation. Therefore, an innovative and sustainable solution is required to address these challenges. This report presents the design of a waste management facility based on Waste-toEnergy (WtE) technology through an Eco-Friendly Architecture approach as an integrated solution. The design focuses on utilizing incineration technology to convert waste into electrical energy while incorporating environmentally friendly principles into the architectural concept. This approach includes the application of passive design strategies, the use of sustainable local materials, and site and spatial planning that promote energy efficiency and user comfort. The study was conducted through literature review, precedent studies, and direct observation at the Pesalakan Final Disposal Site. The outcome is a conceptual design for a WtE facility that not only addresses technical waste management and energy crisis issues but also provides educational and ecological spaces for the community. Through this design, the facility is expected to support Pemalang in becoming a clean, energy-independent, and environmentally sustainable city

    The redesign of Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 6 Surakarta using a Neo-Vernacular architectural approach serves as a response to the need for educational facility revitalization that not only emphasizes functionality but also reflects local identity and sustainability values. This design is driven by a shifting architectural paradigm that often marginalizes local wisdom in favor of modern aesthetics. In reality, schools play a vital role in shaping the character of younger generations through learning environments that are healthy, comfortable, and rich in cultural meaning. The Neo-Vernacular design approach incorporates traditional Javanese architectural elements—such as joglo-style roofs, gunungan accents, and kawung batik motifs—with modern components such as transparent façades and communal open spaces. These are integrated with sustainable design principles through site planning that adapts to the tropical climate and local geographical conditions, aiming for energy efficiency and the optimization of natural lighting and air circulation. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive method involving literature studies, site observation, and contextual analysis to develop a design concept that aligns with the physical, social, and cultural environment. The project aims to establish a new visual identity for SMPN 6 Surakarta that is contextual, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable. This redesign is not merely a physical transformation of the school building but also a contribution to the preservation of local cultural values and the improvement of educational spaces that support student well-being. It is expected to bridge the past and present while responding to the challenges of educational architecture in the urban context of Surakarta

    The establishment of the Indonesian Capital City in East Kalimantan, Balikpapan City is one of the gateways to the IKN with the Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman International Airport. This determination has caused the number of tourists in Balikpapan to increase by 42% in 2024 with Marine Tourism as the main choice. This increase in tourists is also accompanied by an increase in the Occupancy Rate of Star Hotels by 2.63% in 2024. However, this increase does not have a good impact on the environment, tourists litter, some individuals carry out illegal logging, to problems caused by the environment itself, namely coastal abrasion. To answer this urgency, a temporary residential building is needed that can facilitate the needs of Marine Tourism while maintaining and developing the environmental ecosystem.     Traditional markets play an important role in the social and economic life of communities, including Pasar Serdang, which has been operating since 1975. However, the market’s condition has been deteriorating, marked by dilapidated building, unsanitary environments, and an excessive number od vendors that exceed its capacity, leading to the emergence of illegal traders and traffic congestion. This study aims to formulate a design strategy for revitalization or Pasar Serdang through a health and well-being approach within the framework or sustainable architecture. This approach emphasizes improvements in air circulation, natural lighting, waste management, and the use of environmentally friendly materials to create a healthy, comfortable space that support the well-being of market users. The research uses a qualitative method with techniques including observation, interviews, and literature study.     Planning of Pleret Weir, Pundungan Village - Juwiring District Klaten Regency

    In Pundungan village, Juwiring District, Klaten Regency, there is an irrigation area which has a big influence on the regional economy. In the last 3 years, most of the irrigated areas are no longer cultivated by farmers because the water requirements for irrigated areas are no longer sufficient. This is caused by weirage to the weir which is the source of water withdrawal for the irrigation area. The aim of this research is to plan a weir for the Pundungan irrigation area. The initial step in this research is hydrological analysis to determine design flood discharge. The results of the planned flood discharge analysis are then used for weir construction design which includes dimensional design, lighthouse, stilling pond, front floor, intake gate and flushing gate. After design the weir construction, weir stability control is carried out regarding overturning, shearing, eccentricity and soil bearing capacity. Based on the results of the analysis and design of the weir, the dimensions of the weir were obtained with a height of 3.16 m, a width of 12 m, a round fountain type, a MDO or square type processing pool with a length of 10 m, a floor length of the weir face of 25 m, 1 flushing door with the size of the door (0.6m x 1.0m), and 1 intake door measuring (1.20m x 1.0m) located to the left of the weir

    The design of the Pondok Halimun Sukabumi nature tourism area was motivated by its high ecological and natural tourism potential, which has not been optimally managed. Located at the foot of Mount Gede Pangrango, this area boasts natural resources such as waterfalls, rivers, tea plantations, and chrysanthemum cultivation, all of which have educational and economic value. A biophilic architecture approach was chosen as the design foundation to enhance connectivity between humans and nature through the application of natural elements such as local materials, natural lighting, cross-ventilation, and green open spaces. The design method utilized literature studies, field surveys, and user needs analysis to create an environmentally friendly recreational and educational space. The area was designed with a functional zoning concept that supports tourism activities, environmental education, and conservation. The results of this design are expected to create a sustainable tourism area, strengthen local identity, and provide ecological, social, and economic benefits to the surrounding community

    Perencanaan Kebijakan Pengendalian Persediaan Bahan Baku Egg Roll Menggunakan Metode Periodic Review System (R,s,S) (Studi Kasus: UMKM DONNA Healthy Snack)

    Inventory control of raw materials is an essential aspect to ensure the smooth running of the production process. DONNA Healthy Snack MSME is a small business that produces various processed snacks made from pumpkin, including egg rolls, dry brownies, pumpkin chiffon bread, kecimpring, pumpkin flowers, pumpkin pillow cake, pumpkin jenang, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin sticks, pumpkin gapit, madumongso, crushed corn, and sambal pecel. Currently, DONNA Healthy Snack MSME faces the issue of not implementing a raw material inventory control method, resulting in inventory-related costs not being taken into consideration. This study aims to optimize the inventory control of egg roll raw materials using the Periodic Review (R,s,S) method to determine the order quantity and the ordering period for both non-perishable and perishable raw materials. The results indicate that the application of the Periodic Review (R,s,S) method helps establish reorder points, minimum stock levels, and maximum stock levels, ensuring the availability of raw materials without causing overstock. Based on the calculations, the applied method reduces total inventory costs compared to the previous unplanned ordering system. The Periodic Review method yielded cost savings for pumpkin with a lower Total Inventory Cost for each type of egg roll raw material. For pumpkin, the total inventory cost difference was 6%, eggs 3%, coconut 8%, flour 37%, sugar 34%, margarine 38%, milk powder 11%, and baking powder 1%. These total cost differences indicate savings compared to the previously implemented policy
