Uncovering Industry 4.0 technology attributes in sustainable supply chain 4.0: A systematic literature review
International audienceIndustry 4.0 technologies are transforming supply chain management from a linear model to what is known as supply chain 4.0, where operations are integrated, and flows stream in multiple directions. The study aims to explore the attributes of Industry 4.0 technologies and their impact to drive sustainability values. The findings were generated after a systematic literature review of 71 articles on various sustainability dimensions and multiple Industry 4.0 technologies. The study provides a review of the most studied technologies in the sustainable supply chain context and categorizes their attributes as well as their relevance to sustainability. The results show that advances in technologies such as Blockchain and Internet of Things have increased the potential for supply chains to reach sustainability values. The study expands the existing literature and encourages businesses and the scientific community to investigate the power of Industry 4.0 technologies for sustainability. It presents limitations and directions for future research
Graduate unemployment, artisanal and small-scale mining, and rural transformation in Ghana: What does the ‘educated’ youth involvement offer?
International audienceIn the face of rising graduate unemployment, an increasing number of graduates in Ghana has joined the artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) sector. Hitherto, graduates were reluctant to take up jobs in ASM let alone move into rural areas to engage in ASM. In light of these ongoing employment dynamics, we investigate the reasons why educated youth in Ghana join the ASM sector by using digital interviewing methods (2 phone and 17 WhatsApp instant messenger interviews). Further, we examine how university graduates’ involvement in ASM transforms the rural communities they work in and how they are in turn shaped by the communities. These rural transformations have important policy considerations for this distinct youth group due to their ‘non-typical’ association as ASM workers and how formalisation within the sector can increase the gains they actualise from the sector as a source of employment. We find that most university graduates join ASM because of four reasons: 1) ASM serves as a primary livelihood source because of lack of alternatives, 2) lack of employment opportunities (graduate positions) in the cities, 3) for income diversification, and 4) opportunity to start a business in a profitable sector/higher remuneration in ASM compared to other employment sectors. Among other things, graduates’ involvement in ASM transforms rural communities in the following ways: 1) reconfiguring the spatial mobilities of graduate employment avenues towards rural areas, 2) promoting locally-anchored community development, 3) stimulating local economy through linkages to other sectors/industries, and 4) influencing rural labour dynamics in ASM communities. Given these dynamics of rural transformation, educated youth involvement in ASM questions the singular conceptualisation of ASM as ‘a poverty-driven activity’ and helps scholars to reconceptualise and recontextualise ASM considering the view of ASM as an ‘entrepreneurial activity’, and ‘a community activity’ for traditional authorities to generate funds for local development. The policy implications of our findings on the formalisation of ASM and the promotion of youth employment in the ASM sector in Ghana and potentially, elsewhere in Africa are discussed

Logistique urbaine au Maroc : concepts, état des lieux et pistes d’amélioration
International audienceThe objective of our paper is to consolidate the knowledge on urban logistics in terms of pillars, actors, and issues and to present the state and improvement ways of urban logistics in Morocco. The findings of the diagnosis of urban logistics, i.e., the context of the urban territory, consumer purchasing habits, regulations relating to urban logistics and the expectations of transporters and institutions, developed in this paper, on the one hand, give an overview of the state of research in urban logistics, on the other hand, they draw upan assessment of urban logistics in Morocco and of their future orientations.L’objectif de notre article est de consolider les connaissances sur la logistique urbaine en matière de piliers, d’acteurs et d’enjeux et de présenter l’état et les voies d’amélioration de la logistique urbaine au Maroc.

Linking perceived price fairness, customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty: A structural equation modeling of Facebook-based e-commerce in Bangladesh: .
International audienceThe data from the current research forms part of a broader study that analyzes the association between perceived price fairness, customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty among social-commerce users. This study examines their relationship in the context of Facebook-based e-commerce in Bangladesh. Based on data obtained from 171 respondents to a self-administered questionnaire, it uses structural equation modeling and AMOS 21 software to test a research model and seven hypotheses. The study also tests and validates a Western instrument in the Asian context. In line with previous work, it reveals that perceived price fairness is positively related to customer loyalty, customer satisfaction, and trust, and that customer loyalty is also positively related to customer satisfaction and trust. However, it shows that customer satisfaction and trust do not mediate the relationship between perceived price fairness and customer loyalty. It provides practitioners with an understanding of key constructs in various forms that are causing the variation in customer loyalty. The research also provides useful insights for managers who wish to increase customer loyalty and offers guidance to those that intend to attract customers toward shopping, particularly via Facebook
Ads in gaming apps: experiential value of gamers
International audiencePurpose – Even though there is a noticeable market value in the mobile gaming apps industry, there has been limited research examining experiential value of gamers with respect to in-game ads in gaming apps. This study fills the void in the literature by examining factors associated with “experiential value of gamers through ads in gaming apps” as well as investigating its antecedents (cognitive and affective involvement) and consequences (positive word of mouth and intention to continue playing the mobile game). Design/methodology/approach – A total of 600 valid responses from gamers was used to test the model fit, measurement and structural models, conditional probabilistic queries, and nonlinearity.Findings – This study found that experiential value of gamers through ads in gaming apps is a second-order factor of four constructs: escapism, enjoyment, social affiliation and entertainment. Most of the structural paths between cognitive/affective involvement and dimensions of experiential value are supported. Surprisingly, only social affiliation and entertainment values predict positive word of mouth and intention to continue playing the mobile game, in a nonlinear way.Originality/value – This study is the first to introduce “experiential value of gamers through ads in gaming apps”. The findings have important implications for companies to develop brand and communication strategies by leveraging specific advertisement formats and present their ads to the right audience in the right gaming apps and at the right time
