AIDE A LA CONCEPTION DES PRODUITS CUSTOMISABLESET EMPOWERMENT PSYCHOLOGIQUE: COMMENT LE CONSOMMATEUR S’APPROPRIE LE PRODUIT ?

    No full text
International audienceIn a mass customization (MC) context, people need to be accompanied by the firm to co-create a product. This research highlights MC’s configurator capabilities the more likely to help people and in fine to increase perceived power, ownership and purchase intention. We have conducted an empirical study with 263 respondents that have customised a joystick. The results show that, in general, the configuraor capabilities increase the perception of power by the consumer whatever his knowledge. Finally, we have shown that people need to appropriate a customised product before having the intention to purchase it.Dans un contexte de customisation de masse (CM), les individus ont besoin de l’aide de l’entreprise dans la co-création du produit.

Measuring network-driven citations: An adjusted citation count metric

    No full text
International audienceCitation count is extensively used within research systems to measure research performance and relevance. However, high numbers of citations could result from many different factors. This paper proposes an adjusted citation count metric to help identify citations from researchers’ networks. Using data from the Web of Science core collection, this research suggests and illustrates an approach to compute the proportion of citation counts from within and out of author networks, defined as the set of their co-authors. The results reveal the trends and effects of author networks on citation counts. The paper explains how these findings could be used to assess research performance. Its utilisation will depend mainly on the objectives of the assessor and the stage of the researcher’s career. An algorithm is also proposed that could be used to automate the computation of the proposed metric. It could serve as a step towards refining and integrating this metric into existing bibliometric analysis packages built on the R software platform

Michael L. Tushman. L’organisation comme réponse aux dilemmes de l’innovation

    No full text

Men’s Experiences of Paternity Leaves in Accounting Firms

    No full text
International audienceAccounting researchers and practitioners have made strides in addressing persistent gender inequalities in the accounting profession. However, these efforts have largely sidestepped men and masculinities. Our study considers the role of men and masculinities in gender inequalities by exploring how men in accounting experience paternity leaves. We conduct interviews with 13 men in audit firms in France. We find that fathers are reluctant to take leaves, which they view as vacation periods incompatible with their professional work. They see audit firms as offering less support to fathers than mothers, with support for fathers growing but still marginal. Finally, they experience a variety of emotions, including positive emotions around fatherhood and negative emotions around difficulties in reconciling fatherhood with professional responsibilities and paternity leaves. Practically, our findings imply that to address gender inequalities further, accounting firms need to change the norms around care work, including paternity leaves

Why and When can CSR toward Employees Lead to Cyberloafing? The Role of Workplace Boredom and Moral Disengagement

    No full text
International audienceResearchers have recently indicated that employee perceptions of their firm’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) may shape their work behaviors. However, why and when CSR perceptions lead to counterproductive work behavior, such as cyberloafing, remains unclear. In this article, we first investigate the mediating role of workplace boredom in explaining the effect of perceived CSR toward employees on cyberloafing behaviors. We further examine the moderating role of moral disengagement in this process. Overall, the results of our cross-sectional, experimental, and three-wave studies provide strong evidence for our hypothesized relationships. Our research suggests that moral disengagement weakens the effect of internal CSR on workplace boredom, such that for employees high in moral disengagement, the level of internal CSR has a weaker effect on workplace boredom

Influencer is the New Recommender: insights for Theorising Social Recommender Systems

    No full text
International audienceDesigning theory-driven social recommender systems (SRSs) has been a significant research challenge for over a decade. This study aims to identify behavioural factors that could improve the persuasiveness and quality of recommendations made by SRSs. Given both research streams' striking similarity, it uses the recent yet rich research on social media influencers (SMI) to inform SRS research. Drawing on 72 publications, we classified 52 independent variables into 12 categories regrouped into three broad categories that characterise the relationships between the consumer and the (i) recommender system, (ii) product or brand, and (iii) and advert. The metanalysis results determined the relative importance of each category in predicting purchase intentions, placing recommender credibility and attitude towards the recommended product or brand at the top of the charts. Our findings are expected to facilitate more refined theory-building efforts and theory-driven designs in SRS research and practice

Precedence constrained generalized traveling salesman problem: Polyhedral study, formulations, and branch-and-cut algorithm

    No full text
International audienceThe Precedence Constrained Generalized Traveling Salesman Problem (PCGTSP) is an extension of two well-known combinatorial optimization problems --- the Generalized Traveling Salesman Problem (GTSP) and the Precedence Constrained Asymmetric Traveling Salesman Problem (PCATSP), whose path version is known as the Sequential Ordering Problem (SOP). Similarly to the classic GTSP, the goal of the PCGTSP, for a given input digraph and partition of its node set into clusters, is to find a minimum cost cyclic route (tour) visiting each cluster in a single node. In addition, as in the PCATSP, feasible tours are restricted to visit the clusters with respect to the given partial order. Unlike the GTSP and SOP, to the best of our knowledge, the PCGTSP still remain to be weakly studied both in terms of polyhedral theory and algorithms. In this paper, for the first time for the PCGTSP, we propose several families of valid inequalities, establish dimension of the PCGTS polytope and prove sufficient conditions ensuring that the extended Balas' π\pi- and σ\sigma-inequalities become facet-inducing. Relying on these theoretical results and evolving the state-of-the-art algorithmic approaches for the PCATSP and SOP, we introduce a family of MILP-models (formulations) and several variants of the branch-and-cut algorithm for the PCGTSP. We prove their high performance in a competitive numerical evaluation against the public benchmark library PCGTSPLIB, a known adaptation of the classic SOPLIB to the problem in question
