Współczesna baza szkolenia lotniczego funkcjonuje ponadto w środowisku o charakterze wysoce dynamicznym, które wymusza elastyczność i zdolność do nieustannego dostosowywania procesów operacyjnych. The aviation training base should be considered an open system, as it continuously interacts with its environment, exchanging material and information resources, products, and energy. At the same time, it adapts to external factors, which determines the effective achievement of its goals. Furthermore, a modern aviation training base operates in a highly dynamic environment, requiring flexibility and the ability to constantly adapt operational processes. The aim of the article is to indicate the solutions used in the field of strategy, organizational structure and aircraft maintenance staff development strategies at the aviation training base. The subject of the research is the aviation training base, which is classified as a high-tech organization. The study uses the methods of analyzing the literature on the subject, a diag-nostic survey and the analytical and deductive method, allowing for the exploration and interpretation of the presented problem. Determining the strategy for the development of aircraft maintenance person-nel is perceived as a process that creates opportunities to expand the staff\u27s potential, both in the context of promotion and organizational transformation. In order for the aircraft maintenance staff development strategy to effectively support the implementation of the organization\u27s strategy and allow for its speci-fication, a strong connection between them is necessary

Virtual reality (VR) therapy has emerged as a promising approach for treating social anxiety disorder by allowing controlled exposure to anxiety-provoking social situations in a safe virtual environment. Collecting and analyzing physiological data from participants during VR therapy sessions is crucial for monitoring their anxiety levels, tailoring the therapy, and assessing treatment outcomes. This article discusses the challenges and solutions for collecting and analyzing rapidly generated physiological data, such as galvanic skin response, heart rate, and respiration rate, in the context of social anxiety VR therapies. It explores techniques for real-time data streaming, storage in efficient file formats like Apache Parquet, and subsequent analysis of the collected data. The article also examines the role of data analysis in improving therapy protocols, personalizing treatment, and advancing our understanding of the physiological responses associated with social anxiety. By leveraging modern data engineering practices, VR therapy platforms can unlock valuable insights and enhance the effectiveness of exposure-based interventions for social anxiety disorder

Modeling in the context of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is using mathematics to describe, analyze, and predict real-world systems. Building models that can simulate or predict various aspects of reality is a key issue that is the subject of many studies. The quality of models depends on many elements, starting from the architecture of the neural network itself, through the selection of teaching data in terms of the size of the sets, and the number of factors influencing the choice of the network itself. Modifications of the network training methods themselves also play an important role, e.g. through the use of Evolutionary Algorithms (AE). The paper focuses on several selected aspects related to the quality of modeling based on prices on the Day Ahead Market (DAM). The influence of network architecture factors, network type, number of training data, and Evolutionary Algorithms on the improvement of the model quality measured by the Mean Squared Error (MSE) and the coefficient of determination (R2) were considered

    No full text
The problem of autonomous navigation for Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) in unstructured environments is both challenging and crucial for their deployment in real-world applications. Perception is important, as it provides the necessary information for terrain traversability and environmental awareness. In this article, the developed manned-unmanned vehicle designed to carry out autonomous missions in unstructured terrain is presented, along with the system requirements essential for such operations. Challenges related to environmental perception and navigation in unstructured environments are discussed. Achievements in developing AI models capable of interpreting sensor data are highlighted, demonstrating significant progress in the field of autonomous navigation. However, several gaps remain, particularly in the areas of sensor fusion, real-time decision-making, and adaptability to highly dynamic conditions. Development in the field of autonomous systems allows for a wider expansion of the potential applications ofUGVs in various fields, including disaster response, environmental monitoring, and exploration of hazardous environments

The architecture of human mind, and non-von Neumann computer architecture

Structural plasticity in the brain (i.e. rewiring the connectome) may be viewed as mechanisms for dynamic reconfiguration of neural circuits. First order computations in the brain are done by static neural circuits, whereas higher order computations are done by dynamic reconfigurations of the links (synapses) between the neural circuits. Static neural circuits correspond to first order computable functions. Synapse creation (activation) between them correspond to the mathematical notion of function composition.Functionals are higher order functions that take functions as their arguments. The construction of functionals is based on dynamic reconfigurations of function compositions. Perhaps the functionals correspond to rewiring mechanisms of the connectome. The architecture of human mind is different than the von Neumann computer architecture. Higher order computations in the human brain (based on functionals) may suggest a non-von Neumann computer architecture, a challenge posed by John Backus in 1977 [7]. The presented work is a substantial extension and revision of [2]

From the Greek Goddess Isis Holding a Flower to Sasanian Dancers with Blossoms in Hand

The cultural ties between Iran and the Hellenic world are ancient and well-documented. However, this article focuses on the influence of a particular aspect of Roman art on a distinct form of Sasanian performance. The author refers to this combination as a ritual performance. This dance style retains the overall structure of Sasanian art but is significantly influenced by Roman art. There are many important gilded silver vessels housed in well-known museums that depict dancers who share strikingly similar features. They have been found across a wide geographic range, from northern Iran – such as Mazandaran – through Central Asia and into Eurasia. These semi-nude dancers, with prominently displayed chests, typically hold a long-stemmed flower in one hand. In the other, they may be seen holding a bird, a sugarcane, or even the hand of a child. For the background of such a style, carrying a flower branch in one hand and another instrument in the other, it is quite possible to refer to Hellenistic art. The sculpture of the Greek Goddess Isis was one of the most important statuettes and, of course, the best known in Iran, Mesopotamia and Central Asia

This article reviews and analyzes the collection experience and methodology for the formation of personal funds and access to them in the archives of Kazakhstan, Poland and Russia. The purpose of the study is to study the experience of Kazakhstan, Russia and Poland in the collection, formation of archival personal funds and access to them. The article was written using extensive literature - unpublished archival documents, regulatory legal acts and methodological documents. The research methodology is based on an integrated approach using historical-descriptive, content analysis, and comparative methods. Results: Personal documents, along with official documents, replenishing and enriching state archival funds are the source base for research. The complex of personal documents created as a result of human life and activity forms an archival personal fund in the future. Being an important part of any archive, personal funds are varied and multifaceted in their content and significance. Personal funds contain unique and valuable documents varying in composition and content about the life and activities of government and political figures, heroes, workers, poets, representatives of culture and art, artists, art historians and scientists. In studying the experience of Kazakhstan, Russia and Poland, this paper reveals their differences in terms used in the archival sphere. Moreover, common features and peculiarities in the methodology for creating personal funds have been identified, and their composition has been determined. We have considered the issues of access to archival personal funds in three countries and identified their features

WYKORZYSTANIE TORFU DO WYTWARZANIA ENERGII ELEKTRYCZNEJ W LATACH 1945-2000

This paper examines the industrial harvesting of turf and its use in electricity generation in Ireland from 1945 to 2000. It explores the commercial exploitation of Irish bogs which had been neglected for centuries. Exploitation achieved impetus when some revolutionaries such as Todd Andrews advocated economic self-sufficiency. With Government approval, Bord na Móna was created in 1945. Another state body, the Electricity Supply Board (ESB), established turf-fired power plant. These developments had a significant economic impact until the mid 1980s. Thereafter, a combination of ageing plant, and supra-national environmental regulation led to the closure of power stations and the cessation of peat harvesting.W artykule omówiono przemysłowe zbiory torfu i jego wykorzystanie do wytwarzania energii elektrycznej w Irlandii w latach 1945–2000, oraz komercyjną eksploatację irlandzkich torfowisk, które były zaniedbywane przez wieki. Zmiany te miały znaczący wpływ gospodarczy aż do połowy 1980 roku. Następnie połączenie starzenia się instalacji i ponadnarodowych przepisów środowiskowych doprowadziło do zamknięcia elektrowni i zaprzestania zbioru torfu

The article discusses selected examples of the interplay between prepositional phrases and morphologically marked cases (Genitive and Dative). Section One briefly introduces the concept of prepositions on the basis of data from Polish and English. Prepositions in the two languages show similarities and differences. Because Polish prepositions assign cases, further analogies are drawn between Polish and German (which, similarly to English, is a Germanic language). Section Two focuses on the replacement of Dative with the preposition dla ‘for’ governing Genitive, which phenomenon is characteristic of the north-eastern dialects of Polish in Podlasie (especially in the area of Białystok and Suwałki) and in the Eastern Borderlands. In the same local dialects of Polish, the reverse tendency has been observed. It results in the replacement of dla + Genitive with the Dative case (due to hypercorrectness). The interplay between the two cases is also observable in colloquial German, in which morphologically signalled Genitive is replaced with the preposition von ‘from’ + Dative. The phenomenon is illustrated in Section Three. Finally, Section Four discusses the overlap between Genitive, Dative, and prepositional phrases in other structures in German and English. Przyimki w obu językach wykazują podobieństwa i różnice. W Sekcji Czwartej przytoczone zostały dalsze przykłady wzajemnych podobieństw i różnic między wyrażeniami z dopełniaczem, celownikiem i przyimkami w niemieckim i angielskim
