No full textInternational audienceAbstract The comparative analysis of nominal modifiers expressing possession in the Bantu languages uncovers interesting patterns of paradigmatic and syntagmatic variation. The shape of the connective relator that marks nominal possessors can depend on the morphosyntactic characteristics of the possessor noun or on the type of semantic relation. There is a lot of variation in the way possessive pronouns are formed, but only a two-way contrast between languages with a full versus a partial paradigm, and languages of both types are scattered throughout the Bantu area. The behaviour of possessive pronouns in terms of word order and agreement provides arguments to consider them the most nuclear of adnominal modifiers in the Bantu languages, which is typologically very unusual, and which is tentatively explained in terms of their resistance to the Adnominal Modifier Apposition and Reintegration (AMAR) mechanism. Only kinship terms can be inalienably possessed, in ways that require further study

No full textInternational audienceThis chapter presents the negative constructions of Beja, a North-Cushitic (Afroasiatic) language, which are basically asymmetrical. It discusses in turn (i) standard negation in declarative main clauses with A/Cat/TAM asymmetry; (ii) the two negative types in non-declaratives, one of which does not use a negator but stem alternation and specific inflection; (iii) negation in non-main clauses (even more asymmetrical than declaratives); (iv) privatives, which include one case of clause chaining instead of a negator; (v) phasal polarity expressions; (vi) negation in stative predications; (vii) negative replies and their pragmatics. It also discusses the absence of negative transport, as well as of negative indefinites and the strategies used instead
Entre accueil et transmission : approche réflexive sur la diversité des pratiques de la médiation culturelle
No full textAs part of my Master’s degree in Korean Studies, I completed a six-month internship at the Korean Cultural Center in Paris, an institution dedicated to promoting artistic and cultural exchange between Korea and France. This experience allowed me to gain first-hand insight into cultural mediation practices and the operation of a Franco-Korean cultural institution. During this internship, I contributed to the conception and diffusion of cultural materials, the reception of visitors and various cultural knowledge transfer activities, thus helping to promote Korean culture among French-speaking audiences. These missions provided me with the opportunity to observe the diversity of forms of engagement inherent to cultural mediation and to reflect on the role of the mediator in interactions with the public. Through the analysis of specific tasks carried out at the Center, I was able to highlight different approches to mediation and emphasize their complementarity. This internship enabled me to apply the knowledge acquired during my academic path and to develop both technical and cross-disciplinary skills essential to successful mediation work. In conclusion, this experience proved to be highly instructive, both professionally and personally, and helped me to refine my career goals in the field of cultural mediation.Dans le cadre de mon Master d’études coréennes, j’ai effectué un stage de six mois au sein du Centre Culturel Coréen de Paris, institution dédiée à la promotion des échanges artistiques et culturels entre la Corée et la France. Cette expérience m’a permis de découvrir concrètement les pratiques de la médiation culturelle ainsi que le fonctionnement d’un établissement culturel franco-coréen. Lors de ce stage, j’ai participé à la conception et à la diffusion de documents culturels, à l’accueil des publics et à de multiples actions de transmission, contribuant ainsi à la valorisation de la culture coréenne auprès du public francophone. Ces missions m’ont offert l’occasion d’observer la diversité des formes d’engagement propres à la médiation culturelle et de réfléchir à la place du médiateur dans ses interactions avec les publics. À travers l’analyse des tâches concrètes effectuées au Centre, j’ai pu mettre en évidence les différentes approches de la médiation et souligner leur complémentarité. Ce stage m’a permis de mettre à profit les connaissances acquises lors de ma formation universitaire et de développer des compétences techniques et transversales indispensables à la réussite des missions de médiation. En conclusion, cette expérience s’est révélée particulièrement formatrice tant sur le plan VI professionnel que personnel et m’a permis de préciser mon projet d’avenir dans le domaine de la médiation culturelle.한국학 석사 과정의 일환으로 한국과 프랑스 간의 예술과 문화 교류 진흥을 전담하는 기관인 파리 한국문화원에서 6 개월간 인턴십을 진행했다. 이 경험을 통해서 저는 한불 문화 기관의 운영과 함께 문화 매개의 실천에 대해 구체적으로 알게 되었다. 이번 인턴십에서는 저는 문화자료 만들기와 보급, 관객 접대, 다양한 전달 활동 등에 참여해 프랑스어권 관객들에게 한국 문화를 알리는 데 기여했다. 이 임무들은 저에게 VII 문화 매개에 고유한 다양한 형태의 참여를 관찰하고 대중과의 상호작용에서 문화 매개자의 위치를 생각할 수 있는 기회를 제공했다. 주프랑스한국문화원에서 수행된 구체적인 업무 분석을 통해 문화 매개에 대한 다양한 접근 방식을 강조하고 이 방식들의 상호보완성도 강조할 수 있었다. 이 인턴십은 제가 대학 교육에서 얻은 지식을 활용하고 문화 매개 임무의 성공에 필수적인 기술 능력을 개발할 수 있게 해주었다. 결론적으로, 이 경험은 특히 직업적으로나 개인적으로 교육적인 것으로 발 되었고, 문화 매개 분야에서 저의 미래 계획을 명확히 할 수 있게 해주었다
La recomposition de la scène de défense latino-américaine : la Chine, les Etats-Unis et les Etats sud-américains
No full textThe objective of this dissertation is to understand the evolution of military ties between China and Latin American countries, and more broadly, how the actions of the PeopleÕs Liberation Army (PLA), the United States, and secondary powers are reshaping the regional defense landscape. This work is part of a broader inquiry into the autonomy of the military and the alignment of defense policy with foreign policy. The development of interactions between Chinese military actors and their Latin American counterparts in the new millennium has given way to the management of these relations within the context of Sino-American rivalry, which began to extend to Latin America from 2018 onward. We analyzed this new configuration through two case studies: Argentina and Chile. Chilean and Argentine defense officials have pursued a hedging strategy characterized by parallel actions toward both the United States and China. The PLA, for its part, has implemented a wedging policy aimed at emphasizing logics distinct from those of the United States. The latter have employed balancing strategies to counter Chinese influence while portraying Chinese fishing fleets as a regional threat. It is not to be excluded that these states - at least their military institutions - may one day regard China's presence in the subcontinent as a threat to their national interests.L'objectif de cette thèse est de comprendre l'évolution des liens militaires entre la Chine et les pays latino-américains et plus largement la manière dont l'action de l'APL, des États-Unis et des puissances secondaires recompose la « scène » de défense régionale. Cette thèse s'inscrit dans un questionnement plus large lié à l'autonomie des militaires et à l'alignement de la politique de défense sur la politique étrangère. Le développement d'interactions entre les militaires chinois et leurs homologues latino-américains dans le nouveau millénaire a laissé place à la gestion de relations dans le contexte de la rivalité sino-américaine, laquelle s'est exportée en Amérique latine à partir de 2018. Nous avons analysé cette nouvelle configuration à partir de deux études de cas, l'Argentine et le Chili. Les responsables de la défense chiliens et argentins ont conduit une stratégie de hedging marquée par des actions parallèles à l'égard des États-Unis et de la Chine. L'APL conduit une politique de clivage (wedging) dont l'objectif est de mettre en avant des logiques différentes des États-Unis. Ces derniers utilisent le balancing pour faire contrepoids à l'influence en même temps qu'ils font des flottes de pôche chinoises une menace régionale. Il n'est pas exclu que ces États [du moins les militaires] considèrent, un jour, la présence chinoise dans le sous-continent comme une menace à leurs intérêts nationaux

No full textLong perceived as an ancestral therapeutic practice overtaken by modern challenges, public health issues and the hegemony of so-called conventional western medicine, traditional medicine has benefited over the last two decades from an institutional and legal framework that promotes and regulates its practice in Côte d'Ivoire. Now considered a national heritage and an important part of ivorian culture, this form of medicine is supported by a policy that aims to promote it and encourage its integration into the health system alongside biomedicine. This is a vast program that involves traditional medicine and its practitioners in a process of structuring, regulation and modernisation. The aim of this study is to understand the implications of this process for traditional medicine and for the techniques and care offered by its practitioners in the urban context of the city of Abidjan. Furthermore, laying the foundations for the construction of an ethnomedicine 2.0, this thesis presents itself as a meeting point between two fields of anthropology : ethnomedicine and the anthropology of virtual worlds.Longtemps perçue comme une pratique thérapeutique ancestrale dépassée par les enjeux de la modernité, les défis en matière de santé publique et l’hégémonie de la médecine occidentale dite conventionnelle, la médecine traditionnelle bénéficie depuis ces deux dernières décennies d’un cadre institutionnel et légal qui favorise et encadre sa pratique en Côte d’Ivoire. Désormais considérée comme un patrimoine national et un élément important de la culture ivoirienne, cette médecine est portée par une politique ayant pour objectif de la promouvoir et de favoriser son intégration dans le système de santé aux côtés de la biomédecine. Il s’agit d’un vaste programme qui engage la médecine traditionnelle et ses acteurs dans un processus de structuration, de réglementation et de modernisation. Comprendre les implications de ce processus sur la médecine traditionnelle et sur les techniques et les offres de soins de ses praticiens à partir du contexte urbain de la ville d'Abidjan est tout l’enjeu de la présente étude. Posant en outre les jalons pour la construction d’une ethnomédecine 2.0, cette thèse se présente comme point de rencontre de deux champs de l’anthropologie : l’ethnomédecine et l’anthropologie des mondes virtuels
