Dégoogliser l’éducation ?: Les cas de PeerTube et Celluloid en tant qu’alternatives à YouTube
No full textInternational audienceNous proposons ici une analyse des pratiques d’hébergement et de partage de vidéos en ligne dans l’enseignement scolaire et universitaire, en étudiant le cas de PeerTube. Saisi par les acteurs concernés comme une alternative possible à Youtube, PeerTube est un logiciel libre développé par l’association française Framasoft, qui s’est donné la mission de « dégoogliser internet », en créant des applications alternatives à celles des géants de la Silicon Valley. L’article examine les difficultés et les débats entourant l’adoption de PeerTube dans les mondes de l’éducation, à travers un projet de « recherche orientée conception » nommé Celluloid. Cette expérimentation montre que, si PeerTube ne saurait aujourd’hui représenter une menace pour YouTube au niveau mondial, il incarne une alternative réelle dans les mondes de l’enseignement et de la recherche en France. Pour autant, l’adoption par les acteurs éducatifs français d’une solution libre et décentralisée à YouTube reste un enjeu complexe, notamment du fait des représentations et des expériences contrastées que ces acteurs peuvent avoir du monde du « libre »

Identification of transdiagnostic phenomena among patients, the general population, relatives, and mental health professionals using topic modeling techniques
No full textInternational audienceIntroduction Recent research has highlighted the limitations of the categorical approach to mental disorders and has increasingly supported the development of a transdiagnostic perspective. This emerging approach focuses on common distal factors (circumstantial, biological, and social) and psychological processes that contribute to psychological suffering across a range of disorders, as well as on the resulting psychological symptoms. The present study aims to identify transdiagnostic distal factors, psychological processes, and symptoms by analyzing narratives through topic modeling—an unsupervised machine learning technique, specifically within Natural Language Processing (NLP). Topic modeling enables the automatic extraction of latent themes from unstructured text, making it possible to identify psychological patterns grounded in patients’ lived experiences. Methods We recruited four groups of participants: Patients diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder ( N = 445), Individuals from the general population ( N = 570), Relatives of patients with psychiatric disorders ( N = 354), and Mental health professionals ( N = 131). Participants answered open-ended questions exploring the causes of psychological suffering, their wishes for change, and their previous experiences with psychotherapy. Results We identified 258 topics, which were organized into 12 overarching themes. The most prominent topics concerned Emotional and Psychological Difficulties , Family and Social Relationships , and Therapeutic Processes . Each theme showed a comparable prevalence across the different diagnostic categories, supporting the transdiagnostic nature of these phenomena. Conclusion Topic modeling can be used effectively to identify transdiagnostic distal factors, psychological processes, and symptoms from diverse narratives. This approach tends to provide a novel means of supporting the relevance and validity of the transdiagnostic perspective

No full textInternational audiencePublished in 1953 in a context of philosophical and political challenges, including the height of Marxism, Jean Daniélou's book, Essai sur le mystère de l'histoire (Essay on the Mystery of History), is a collection of lectures given outside the academic world. It offers a Christian vision of the world and society: Jesus Christ is the beginning, the centre and the end – and therefore the key – to history, which he continually renews, particularly through the sacraments announced in the Old Testament. Since they refer not to a man of the past but to the risen Christ, and since they solicit a human response and direct believers towards their final homeland, these sacraments construct sacred history through the centuries. In doing so, they turn believers into saints, the ‘true protagonists of history’.Inscrit au milieu des défis philosophico-politiques de l’immédiat après Seconde Guerre mondiale, dont l’apogée du marxisme, l’ouvrage de Jean Daniélou, Essai sur le mystère de l’histoire, est un recueil de plusieurs conférences données hors du milieu universitaire. Il propose une vision chrétienne du monde et de la société : Jésus Christ est le commencement, le centre et la fin – donc la clé – de l’histoire qu’il renouvelle incessamment, en particulier par les sacrements annoncés dès l’Ancien Testament. On peut en inférer que ceux-ci, parce qu’ils se réfèrent non pas à un homme du passé, mais au Christ ressuscité, et parce qu’ils sollicitent la réponse humaine et orientent les croyants vers leur patrie définitive, construisent l’histoire sainte à travers les siècles. Ce faisant, des croyants ils font des saints, « vrais protagonistes de l’histoire »
