International audienceThe present study is interested in the practical use of HRM tools by co-operatives. More specifically, the authors analyse the proceedings of performance appraisal interviews within a French worker co-operative. They show the concrete practices by which co-operators succeed in diverting, reappropriating and reversing a tool that is typically individualising and hierarchical so as to put it at the service of the collectivist and democratic culture of their organisation.La présente étude s’intéresse à la façon dont les coopératives utilisent concrètement, en situation, les dispositifs de gestion des ressources humaines. Plus précisément, les auteurs analysent le déroulement des entretiens individuels d’évaluation dans une SCOP. Ils montrent le travail par lequel les coopérateurs réussissent en pratique à détourner, se réapproprier, et renverser un dispositif dont le caractère est essentiellement individualisant et hiérarchique pour le mettre in fine au service de la culture collectiviste et démocratique de leur organisation

L’implication de différents acteurs et actrices du territoire grenoblois (chercheur·e·s, élu·e·s, habitant·e·s, professionnel·le·s des politiques publiques, etc.) dans une démarche participative de construction d’Indicateurs de bien-être soutenable territorialisés (IBEST) a permis d’identifier, à l’échelle de la métropole, huit dimensions de bien-être soutenable : le travail et l’emploi, l’affirmation de soi et l’engagement, la démocratie et le vivre ensemble, l’environnement naturel, la santé, l’accès aux services publics, le temps et le rythme de vie et l’accès durable aux biens de subsistance
Ancient DNA: The quest for the best
International audienceIt is the dream of all researchers working with ancient DNA to identify prior to DNA extraction from bone the specimens or specific zones within them that contain the most and highest proportion of endogenous DNA. Since it impacts the sacrifice of precious ancient specimens and the financial support needed for the analyses, the question is of high importance to the scientific field of paleogenomics. The "Holy Grail" of paleogenomics was reached when Cristina Gamba and collaborators discovered that it was in the petrosal part of the temporal bone, the densest part of the mammalian skeleton, where DNA is exceptionally well preserved. As a consequence, osteological collections experienced a rush from paleogenomicists to "harvest" these precious bone parts. In this issue of Molecular Ecology Resources, Alberti and colleagues (2018) describe the discovery of another promising source of relatively well preserved endogenous DNA, the outermost layer of cortical bone, that they had identified through computed tomography (CT scans). These bones being larger and more abundant than petrous bones, this discovery increases markedly the source material for high quality paleogenomic studies and releases the pressure on osteological collections. KEYWORDS Ancient DNA, DNA preservation, taphonomy, bone Paleogenomics, or the analysis of DNA preserved in biological material from the past, mainly bones, contributes greatly to the study of the recent evolutionary history of humans, human and animal migrations, domestication processes, past population dynamics, and the impact of climate change on past biodiversity, to name just a few. The primary source of these studies, however, is limited in number. Moreover, paleogenomic analyses being costly, and the failure rate due to insufficient DNA preservation high, researchers in the field were seeking for the "Holy Grail" since the initial proposition of differential DNA preservation in molecular preservation niches (Geigl 2002). Empirical considerations and observations motivated ancient DNA researchers to privilege the most compact bones for their studies. Gamba et al. (2014) pushed this logic to its ultimate limit and discovered that the most compact bone of the mammalian skeleton, the petrosal part of the temporal bone, is by far the best source of endogenous DNA from ancient bones. Since then, our scientific community could verify the truth and robustness of this observation that has transformed the field of paleogenomics to a point that a joke dates studies before 2014 to BP (before petrous). In the present study, Alberti et al. (2018) used CT scans to identify the most compact parts of bones. The influence of virtual try-on in a omnichannel contextThis research investigates the influence of virtual try-on in Augmented Reality (AR) on perceived decision-ma-king convenience in an omnichannel context. An on line experiment was performed using the AR application MySephora Artist; which enables to virtually try-on lipstick. On line, the virtual try-on has a positive influence ondecision-making convenience for less frequent on-line cosmetics buyers. In addition, greater perceived conve-nience leads to greater on line purchase intention for these consumers. Perceived decision-making convenienceis also investigated in webrooming and phygital contexts. Finally, managerial implications of these results arediscussed.Cet article étudie l’influence de l’essayage virtuel en réalité augmentée (RA) sur l’efficience perçue du processusde choix dans un contexte omnicanal. Une expérimentation en ligne est réalisée en utilisant l’application de RAMy Sephora Artist, permettant d’essayer virtuellement des rouges à lèvres sur soi. En ligne, l’essayage virtuelrend le processus de choix plus efficient pour les consommatrices ayant une faible fréquence d’achat de maquil-lage sur Internet, menant à une intention d’achat plus élevée. L’efficience perçue est également étudiée dans lecadre d’une expérience de webrooming et d’une expérience phygitale. Finalement, les implications managérialesde ces résultats sont discutées
Detecting Biased Items When Developing a Scale: A Quantitative Method
International audienceIn survey research, it is well known that the quality of responses is significantly altered by apparently trivial variations in the linguistic or grammatical properties of survey items. Yet numerous seemingly minor changes are made to survey items in the course of the scale development process so that they comply with other requirements (e.g., content validity). As a result, researchers may inadvertently introduce systematic measurement error that is not accounted for in the final model. Remedies to this problem are widely known, but reliable methods to diagnose it do not readily exist. In an effort to address this shortcoming, we develop a quantitative method to detect biased items and reinforce the reliability of IS measurement instruments. In this paper, we provide step by step implementation guidelines and show how to apply the method and interpret the output results
