No full textNous savons l’importance pour apprendre de disposer d’un espace à soi, dans un environnement calme. Nous savons aussi l’importance pour les enfants de pouvoir faire des pauses et se dépenser, jouer ou même rêvasser. Des enjeux très liés aux conditions de logement des familles, et qui en dépendent totalement en ces temps de confinement. Or, la situation matérielle de beaucoup de foyers est aujourd’hui critique. Alors que les élèves sont censés continuer leur scolarité à distance, Jean‑Michel Blanquer a estimé que les enseignant·e·s avaient perdu contact avec 5 % à 8 % des élèves. Si les instructions ont bien été reçues par les autres foyers, disposant d’un minimum de connexion numérique, cela ne signifie par non plus que leurs conditions de vie se prêtent à une paisible poursuite de leurs études. Une enquête menée dans la métropole grenobloise (permettant de nourrir la construction d’indicateurs de bien-être soutenable territorialisés) nous permet de cerner plus finement la situation dans laquelle se trouvent un certain nombre d’enfants aujourd’hui. Si ses résultats ne peuvent pas être extrapolés à d’autres territoires, ils font ressortir des questions qui se posent partout ailleurs, de manière plus ou moins marquée
When bike-sharing crashed in China: a bumpy ride
No full textInternational audiencePurpose Buoyed by the desire to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and develop sustainable urban transportation, the dockless bike-sharing industry boomed in China during 2017–2018. To the surprise of the stakeholders, this industry dramatically ebbed in 2019. The dockless bike-sharing system deviated from a problem-solver to a troublemaker in a very short period. The oversupplied and excessively discarded shared bikes caused a big waste of resources and serious pollution to the environment. In this paper, the decision-making of the key players of the industry, i.e. business operators, investors, customers and government, is analyzed through the lens of the cognitive bias. This paper aims to illuminate the process of how this innovative transport solution turned to a disastrous ending, which caused damage to urban environment and financial loss to investors. Design/methodology/approach In this study, a qualitative analysis based on the rich secondary data sources is conducted. A rich amount of qualitative data including news reports, government policies, consulting reports and companies’ annual reports etc. were collected. Findings The study shows, in the product introduction period, the government, business operators, investors and consumers fell into the cognitive bias. They over focused on the positive side such as high-tech, eco-friendly, convenient image of the dockless bike-sharing solution. Thereby, the key stakeholders made irrational decisions in product adoption and management. This study moves toward increasing key stakeholders’ awareness of the imperative to reduce these biases when promoting eco-innovations. This study also recommends a prudent attitude with a rational and comprehensive thinking style in dealing with eco-innovation and the emerging sharing economy. Originality/value To solve the cognitive biases, this study recommends that people use rational decision-making style to examine and adopt the dockless bike-sharing solutions. Practical recommendations to tackle the existing recycling crisis of the dockless bike-sharing industry are also discussed
Tasting the Difference: A Relational-Epistemic Approach to Aesthetic Collaboration in Haute Cuisine
No full textInternational audienceCollaboration during aesthetic production is inherently complex, involving difficult-to-articulate aspects of aesthetic judgement as well as relational questions that are inherently power-laden. Particularly in situations where actors do not share background conditions or judgement criteria, aesthetic collaboration poses conceptual and practical challenges. Through an in-depth case study of a French haute cuisine programme in Shanghai, China, we propose a relational-epistemic approach to aesthetic collaboration, in which aesthetic judgement and relational positioning mutually shape how chef trainees come to understand their creative products. Specifically, aesthetic collaboration was shaped by whether participants understood their mutual relationships as antagonistic or integrative, and whether they considered aesthetics as a matter of objective knowledge, cultural tradition or co-construction. Based on our results, we explore the implications of the relationalepistemic approach in understanding organizational aesthetics, especially in the context of the culture industries and haute cuisine specifically

The question of a country's national security goes beyond the context of these rules, which allows economic, political or strategic power struggles to still have a great influence on international trade and the emergence of conflicts with considerable societal consequences. . A distinction must be made between disputes, based on opposing economic conceptions of two states, each in the expression of its sovereignty and WTO rules, from conflicts that then presuppose the application of power relations and non-compliance with the rules. of the WTO on the basis of the national security exception. The economic war goes further into the conflict; it eventually accepts the lethality of this operation. It concerns in particular impoverishment through the war preparation effort, international punishment strategies, domination, political violence, rupture or cyber attacks.Les différends économiques des Etats sont nombreux, même si, normalement, l’Organisation Mondiale du Commerce a été créé en vue d’apporter des règles applicables à tous ses membres. La question de la sécurité nationale d’un pays sort du contexte de ces règles, ce qui permet aux rapports de force économiques, politiques ou stratégiques d’exercer encore une grande influence sur les échanges internationaux et l’émergence de conflits aux conséquences sociétales considérables. Il faut distinguer les différends, fondé sur des conceptions économiques opposées de deux Etats, chacun dans l’expression de sa souveraineté et des règles de l’OMC, des conflits qui supposent alors l’application de rapports de force et le non respect des règles de l’OMC sur la base de l’exception de sécurité nationale. La guerre économique va plus loin dans le conflit, elle accepte éventuellement la létalité de cette opération. Elle concerne notamment l’appauvrissement par l’effort de préparation à la guerre, les stratégies de punition internationale, de la domination, de la violence politique, de la rupture ou des cyber attaques
