Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine the attitudes of family members as caregivers toward their elderly relatives. Family members as caregivers have been the trend for several decades, thus, as the aging population are living longer, the demand for care has been greatly needed for this aging group. The population for this study were 25 African American family members as caregivers to their elderly relatives who were patients at Grady Memorial hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. A random sample was utilized in collecting data for this study. To examine the attitudes and knowledge of the participants, an Attitudinal Assessment Questionnaire was administered. The findings in this study revealed that more of the respondents were female caregivers, and a greater number of male adult siblings were identified than expected. The results of this study revealed the following: family members rather than one family member shared in the responsibility of caring for their elderly relatives; family members were prepared to take on the role as caregivers for their elderly relatives; family members had a change in family lifestyle; and family members experienced burn-out and stress

No full textThe purpose of the present research was to identify the differences between some various schooling aspects at one U.S. high school and one girls Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) high school. In particular, the studied objectives include lessons plan, program assessment, teacher credentials, school culture, and intramural activities. This study was conducted using a mixed-method approach. The obtained results allowed making some specific recommendations that could be considered by the Saudi teachers and school administrations to improve simultaneously the learning process, employee satisfaction, as well as students engagement and motivation. This case study will help to improve both systems through sharing success strategies. Also, it will help families who moved from the United States to Saudi Arabia or the opposite to understand the differences between these education systems for their childrens success. After the data collection and analysis, the researcher concluded that there is no one of these educational systems better than the other. If we could merge these two school systems, we would have the best educational system for students future success. No full textThe purpose of this study is to isolate some of the major managerial problems prevalent in the City of Muskegon Heights, Michigan, to elaborate on some of the contributing factors leading to these problems, and to make some recommendations on the fiscal future of this city in view of these problems. No effort is made to deal with the political situation of the City. The writer recognizes that the political problems are indeed serious and that they do impact on the managerial problems. However, the identification and magnification of the political problems require an independent effort altogether.
It is virtually impossible to identify and illuminate of magnify each managerial problem as it effects service delivery. But the major ones are discussed to a considerable extent thus allowing the reader a broad view of this city's municipal operation
