Identification of the Gorals in the Slovak-Polish borderland
Get PDFV príspevku sa venujem problematike identifikácie sa obyvateľov slovensko-poľského pohraničia s goralskou kultúrou. Reprezentácie, ktoré sú prítomné v týchto spoločnostiach sa nazývajú v sociálnych vedách esenciálnymi a konštruktivistickými. V štúdii sa venujem analýze týchto reprezentácií a prítomnosti autostereotypu gorala v tomto areáli z pohľadu kultúrnej antropológie a súčasných teoretických rámcov, ktoré sa vzťahujú k tejto problematike. Zároveň prepájam emický a etický pohľad na tieto sociálne reprezentácie, čím sa snažím vytvoriť čo najkomplexnejší pohľad na spôsoby identifikácie sa goralov s vlastnou sociálnou a regionálnou skupinou.In this paper I will discuss the issue of identification of the inhabitants of the Slovak-Polish border region with the Goral culture. The representations that are present in these societies are called essential and constructivist in the social sciences. In this study I will analyze these representations and the presence of the Goral autostereotype in this area from the perspective of cultural anthropology and contemporary theoretical frameworks that relate to this issue. At the same time, I will connect the emic and ethical perspective on these social representations, thereby trying to create the most comprehensive view possible of the ways in which Gorals identify with their own social and regional group

Zatiaľ čo rekonštrukcie staroslovanského náboženstva sú prevažne založené na solarizme a lunarizme, Nodilo inicioval vlastnú mytologickú re/konštrukciu. Kronika Slovanov určuje Arkonského Svantevita ako deus deorum baltsko-poľských Slovanov. V poslednej kapitole svojej štúdie Stará viera Srbov a Chorvátov (1885 – 1890) je zrejmé, že Nodilo pri svojej re/konštrukcii starej viery Srbov a Chorvátov neuplatnil absolútny záver pansolarizmu.While reconstructions of Old Slavic religion are largely based on solarism and lunarism, Nodilo initiated his own mythological re/construction. The Chronicle of the Slavs identifies Arkonsky Svantevit as the deus deorum of the Baltic-Polish Slavs. In the last chapter of his study Old Faith of the Serbs and Croats (1885–1890), it is clear that Nodilo did not apply the absolute conclusion of pansolarism in his re/construction of the old faith of the Serbs and Croats

Je dôležité poznamenať, že zatiaľ čo druhá udalosť, povodeň, zostáva v poľskej spoločnosti len vzdialenou zlou spomienkou, hoci jej obete dodnes ovplyvňuje, letecká havária je naďalej ústredným bodom diskusie, ktorá ďaleko presahuje tvorbu mýtov.This paper addresses two tragic events that took place in 2010: the crash of Poland’s presidential airplane and the flood that occurred shortly thereafter.It is important to note that while the second event, the flood, remains little more than a distant bad memory in Polish society, even though it continues to affect its victims to this day, the plane crash continues to be the centrepiece of a debate that far exceeds myth-making
