Democratic memory is an issue that continues to be very present in
public debate in Spain. Even today, there are still sectors of society that legitimise the
figure of Franco, while the main right-wing parties question the need for political
institutions to address the issue of memory. In this context, film, from civil society,
has played an important role in constructing a collective memory through a narrative
that is critically opposed to the official truth put forward by Franco's regime and
currently defended by revisionism.
The aim of this article is to examine this role played by cinema in the Spanish
context, starting from the defence that the audiovisual medium is appropriate and
capable of influencing individuals and is especially gifted for the representation of
memory. We will also propose a contextualisation of the Spanish case, paying particular
attention to the use of the audiovisual medium during the dictatorship, and how the regime made use of it in the construction of a favourable narrative, while at the same
time limiting the possibilities of opposition from the cinematographic medium.
We will delimit the type of cinema we are going to deal with, focusing on those
productions that have an intentionally memorial character in relation to the Civil War
and Franco's dictatorship. We will assess how, even during the dictatorship, the first
critical approaches to the Civil War and the post-war period were made by some
filmmakers, within a complex relationship with censorship. We will analyse how, since
the end of the dictatorship, the subject has been dealt with expressly, particularly
assessing the role that this type of film currently plays in the current public debate on

The decisive importance in the literary production
of Salvatore Quasimodo is highlighted of his realistic vision of the historical process as an uninterrupted dominion of violence, from the bloody rites
of archaic times to the modern instruments of the
atomic apocalypse, at the basis of a rhythmically
dissonant expressive rendering and of an intense
translation activity not only of lyric poetry, but
also and above all of tragic works, which become
the semantic and linguistic cipher of his civil inspiration, in the dual aspect of return to the land of
the fathers, the deep Mediterranean South, symbolically evoked by the myth of the eagle and the
poet, and utopically redeemed by the just man,
such that he can work for peace, putting an end to
the senseless horrors of war
In this article I will present the case of re-functionalization that the poems of the collection Nelle mani la luna by Younis Tawfik undergo in their transition to lyrical interludes of the essay L’Iraq di Saddam. Through a genetic apparatus that will register the variations between the same compositions inserted in the two works, I will investigate the reasons for these changes. I will underline the narrative, linguistic and thematic function that these variants play out in the different works in which they are present

Taking into consideration a particular experience that is part of the historical-educational heritage of Nonantola we come to a series of proposals of Public History of Education that involve City Administration, population, living witnesses and, in
particular, primary and secondary school pupils. In the winters of 1946, 1947 and 1948,
children arrived in Nonantola (Modena) from areas devastated by the Second World War
(Lazio, Naples, Modena Apennines) who were hosted by peasant families and enrolled
in the elementary schools of the country. It was an important initiative of solidarity promoted by the Italian Communist Party that saw particularly active the Emilia-Romagna
region and the province of Modena. The name “Trains of Happiness” was given by the
mayor of Modena Alfeo Corassori. Some of the little guests stopped to live permanently
in Nonantola
The article explores the role of francophonie as a methodological axis for pluricentric didactics, empha-
sizing the dynamic and heterogeneous nature of language practices and educational cultures historical-
ly and ideologically associated with French. It discusses the evolution and institutionalization of fran-
cophonie, highlighting its semantic indeterminacy and its adaptation to globalized and interconnected
contexts. The pedagogical approach towards francophonie promotes complexity, differentiation, and
adaptiveness, advocating for a plurilingual and pluricultural understanding of language learning. The ar-
ticle delves into the didactic implications emphasizing the need to consider diverse linguistic contexts,
cultures, and diatopic variations. It suggests an approach centered on lexical variation and intercultural
immersion in digital contexts, exemplified through platforms like eTwinning. Through intercultural dia-
logue facilitated by digital tools, learners engage in collaborative projects, fostering cultural awareness,
empathy, and communication skills essential for navigating today’s interconnected world
Il cibo nella vita dell’uomo. Alimentazione: cultura e storia
In this study I intend to document the singular experience lived from the
1970s onwards by Sergio Viti, a primary school teacher of mixed-age classes in the Alta
Versilia, in the foothills of the Apuan Alps. Instead of regarding such a context as hostile
and diminishing, he set about creating a teaching model based on epistolary exchange,
investigation of current affairs and archival research, working in groups and making ample use of debating as a learning tool. The subjects most often treated, apart from general
history and culture, were educational history, environmental issues and ecological awareness, and the role of food in human life. Drawing on the original documentation produced
in the schools – such as school newsletters – and on numerous testimonies to Viti’s teaching, published by him in books that contain his own thoughts and reflections, but especially on the voices and the questions of the children themselves – talking about important
matters such as philosophy, and experimenting with critical thought and creative writing
– it is possible to reconstruct a teaching career conducted with skill and passion, and to
provide a “grassroots” contribution to the recent history of education

The History and Geography discipline in the first two years of high school presents a complex regulatory structure but at the same time allows interdisciplinary laboratories of great value. Thinking of teaching as an exegetical discipline can help to effectively design such laboratories. The article describes a concrete experience starting right from its design
