Full text linkThe History of universities and higher education in Italy has been greatly
revised since the 1990s. There has been an examination of the questions of Modern and
Contemporary ages, an increase in sources and most importantly, a significant boost has
been given to the history of individual universities. In this scenario the Centre for Studies
and Documentation on the History of the University of Macerata was founded in 1993
and dedicated in 2010 to the memory of Professor Sandro Serangeli. This paper expressly
aims to analyze the relevant contribution that the Centre has given to the enhancement
of the historical-educational heritage of the University of Macerata and to point out the
productive opportunities provided by the approach of Public History

Abbiamo intitolato la puntata “Episodio 86. I Carabinieri al Nord. Il caso dei comandanti di stazione. Osman Carugno”. In questa puntata vogliamo raccontare una storia … speciale … per davvero, di quelle che gli stessi protagonisti hanno raccontato, forse, sottovoce … o forse non l'hanno neppure raccontata e altri si sono presi l'impegno di farlo.
Il caso dei comandanti di stazione in Nord Italia durante la vita dell’effimera Repubblica Sociale Italiana è molto interessante e il maresciallo capo dei Carabinieri Reali Osman Carugno è uno dei più noti (tra i pochi studiosi). A nostro giudizio si tratta di uno dei pochi noti ma in realtà siamo convinti che i casi analoghi siano stati molti di più … purtroppo cancellati dalla memoria collettiva nel tempo con la scomparsa dei principali protagonisti. Ecco dunque che in questa puntata possiamo ricordare lui e tanti altri.

Policy-making as a crisis resolution tool: the normalization of exceptionality procedures at the expense of the rights of migrants
No full textHis article aims to explore the impact that policy-making in times of crisis can have on the fundamental rights of migrants. In times of emergency and crisis situations, European institutions tend to bypass fundamental steps of the policy- making procedures, including the collection of evidence on which the legislative proposal will be developed. The permanent crisis situation in asylum and migration has led the EU institutions, particularly the European Commission to work in crisis mode since 2015. The Recast Return Directive Proposal was presented in 2018, and the Screening Regulation Proposal was presented in 2020 as part of the New Pact on Migration and Asylum. They were both presented during political crises and are currently under negotiation. Those texts did not go through evidence-based preparatory work within the Commission (such as impact assessments and stakeholders’ consultations), and their contents are emblematic of the securitised and restrictive approach at the EU level, thus making them very symbolic and political policy proposals. This restrictive trend goes against the existing fact-based need, acknowledged by the Commission, to attract migrants to address demographic challenges. This contribution seeks to analyse, through an interdisciplinary approach based on qualitative research methods, the impact that crises have on the EU decision- making, and their consequences for the human rights of migrants, based on two case studies of two legislative proposals currently under negotiation: the Recast Return Directive Proposal and the Screening Regulation Proposal

Nel 2023 il Museo compie 80 anni e celebra questo traguardo ospitando eventi di caratura internazionale, progettando e inaugurando nuove sedi e nuove esposizioni, e lavorando in modo sistematico sulle attività educative e sui prodotti editoriali. Negli ultimi anni, nonostante il contesto difficile e incerto, Casa Padellàs diviene la Casa della Storia di Barcellona, fulcro di questo sistema, centro di interpretazione della città.The mission of MUHBA, Museu d’Història de Barcelona, since its opening in 1943, was to spread the knowledge of the history of the city, from its origins to the present day. In 2023, the Museum celebrates its 80th anniversary by hosting international events, designing new exhibitions and new spaces, and systematically working on educational activities and editorial products. In recent years, in a difficult and uncertain context, Casa Padellàs thus becomes the House of History of Barcelona, the fulcrum of this system, interpretation center of the city
“La parola ai bambini”: voci d’infanzia dall’archivio storico dell’Internationale Jugendbibliothek (IJB)
Full text linkThis work aims at bringing back to light children’s testimonies on the
reading education experience held at the International Youth Library in Munich in the
1950s, which are now kept in its historical archive. It is believed that an accurate analysis
of such sources may indeed broaden the research outlook moving from an adult critical evaluation on the literary production for youth and children, to an appreciation of
contemporary young readers’ critical thinking and the shaping processes of such critical
reflection. Furthermore, the dialogue these texts may establish with the Public History
of Education represents a unique occasion to put forward a narration of educational
practices in the Twentieth century to the teaching community today, in youth libraries or
in the school environment. Moreover, it might help to revisit children’s testimonies of the
past more effectively, by shedding light on the identity, the interests and reading taste of
young readers in the second half of the Twentieth century, opening new research avenues

Full text linkThe article explores the intersection of Heritage Education and Public History, as an approach that can foster the educational paths in the territory. Emphasizing a
participatory and inclusive approach to cultural heritage, the study delves into the multifaceted role of cultural heritage as an educational tool and identity expression. Drawing on the Faro Convention and recent Italian legislation, it highlights a shift towards
community-centric perspectives and lifelong learning. The paper discusses the potential
of the Public History of Education perspective through the lens of Heritage Education
thanks to the example of the T-PLACE (Teaching Places Building Community) project,
initiated by the University of Florence. T-PLACE aims to develop a multidimensional
model for territorial education and cultural heritage through cross-media and immersive
approaches, involving diverse research groups. The article underscores the significance of
Public History in shaping theoretical frameworks and practical strategies for promoting
interdisciplinary heritage education

al 1891 del determinante soggiorno di Luigi Pi randello nella città tedesca, partecipa in modo
particolarmente “avventuroso” delle vicissitudini
redazionali che coinvolgono le carte private dello
scrittore agrigentino. Restituito integralmente
alla luce nella meritoria veste redazionale del
2022, il manoscritto pirandelliano si offre come
«lo spazio in cui si deposita il magma creativo, a
partire da dati e fatti, naturalistici e cronachistici,
che si trasformano in rappresentazione e narra zione, in bozzetti lirici come in racconto in prosa
e in versi» (R. Caputo, Prefazione a L. Pirandello,
Taccuino di Bonn. Manoscritto, (a cura) di F. De

si configura, pertanto, come un’espressione ulte riormente esemplare dell’intertestualità interna
che ne anima l’opera. Proprio sul fitto arsenale di
tale “magazzino poietico”, sulla trama foltissima
di riflessioni personali, di interpolazioni autoese getiche, di bilanci epocali di cui si sostanzia l’au tobiografismo intellettuale del taccuino, queste
pagine intendono soffermarsi, per porre in risalto
come sensibile ne appaia già l’inclinazione sulla
“verticale del Novecento”.The Taccuino di Bonn, a precious testimony until
1891 of Luigi Pirandello's decisive stay in the Ger man city, participates in a particularly "adven turous" way in the editorial vicissitudes involving
the private papers of the writer from Agrigento.
Restored to light in its entirety in the meritorious
editorial guise of 2022, Pirandello's manuscript
offers itself as "the space in which the creative
magma is deposited, starting from data and facts,
naturalistic and chronicle-like, which are trans formed into representation and narration, into
lyrical sketches as well as into prose and verse
narratives". The melting pot of themes and forms
of Pirandello's poetics that is condensed here is
thus configured as a further exemplary expression
of the internal intertextuality that animates his
work. It is precisely on the dense arsenal of this
"poietic storehouse", on the dense weave of per sonal reflections, of self-exegetic interpolations, of
epochal balances that substantiate the notebook's
intellectual autobiographism, that these pages in tend to dwell, to highlight how sensitive its incli nation towards the "vertical of the twentieth cen tury" already appears
