The school through time has been a teaching and learning scenario, in which students and teachers come from different parts of the country; but also, from different parts of the world, this has generated that this academic space becomes the epicenter of multiculturalism and interculturality. Unfortunately, the school has traditionally developed its pedagogical practices within the framework of monoculturality, focused on Eurocentric aspects, typical of the local culture, who exclude and inferiorize those students who belong to a different culture, as is the case of Afro-Colombians.This article is structured in four sections that are the result of the phenomenological research that was developed in the Doctorate program in Educational Sciences of the Universidad del Magdalena, under the line of research, “pedagogy and interculturality”. In the first section, an epistemological approach to the concept of interculturality in school was carried out from the perspective of different theoretical references. Subsequently, the current regulations in the framework of intercultural education were addressed. The third section emphasizes the history of Africa, highlighting the most representative ancient kingdoms. The foregoing is developed from the theoretical approaches of the pedagogy of dialogue in an intercultural key. Finally, some conclusions are presented based on the challenges that the school has to make visible the Afro-Colombian culture from the historical perspective in the context of intercultural education
Isolation and characterization of lignins from Wheat straw and cardoon biomasses
2020 - 2021The progressive reduction in the availability of oil resources, the unstoppable increase in their costs
and the growing need for efficient environmental protection, imply an urgent development of new
technologies for the exploitation of renewable energy with low environmental impact. From this
point of view, lignocellulosic materials represent one of the largest reservoirs of solar energy stored
in the chemical bonds of the most abundant forest biopolymers on Earth: cellulose and lignin. These
resources are continuously renewed and have great potential for obtaining combustible substances
and for the preparation of raw materials and intermediate molecules for the fine chemistry for
industrial applications. From an environmental point of view there would be a considerable
advantage to use a renewable source of raw material such as biomass, avoiding the use of fossil
fuels and helping to decrease the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The design
and development of new plant biomass materials and processes requires the identification and
development of new analytical techniques for the structural characterization of biopolymers and the
monitoring of the extent of biopolymer degradation of lignocellulosic materials. The research
project is aimed at the use of waste lignocellulosic raw materials not competing with the food
supply chain to produce products or materials to be re-inserted into the production cycle as a
replacement (partial) of the current products of origin fossil. All this is consistent with the industry
4.0 model, which envisages rebuilding a constructive and balanced relationship between industry
and all other components of the economy through the development of a circular economy.
Economic and environmentally efficient pathways for production and utilization of lignocellulose
for chemical products and energy are needed to expand the bioeconomy.
The use of residual biomasses to obtain bioenergy and green chemicals is a real possibility to
contribute to sustainable development. These materials are composed mainly of polycarbohydrates
(cellulose, hemicellulose) and phenolic polymers (lignin) and have great potential for use.
One of the most interesting topics of the so-called "green chemistry" is the valorisation of lignin, a
natural substance that can be isolated from biomass. Lignin is one of the three main components of
plant cells along with cellulose and hemicelluloses (Fig.1). The development of the cellulose and
hemicellulose transformation chain in biorefinery ambitions has already achieved industrial
objectives, while the study of lignin for these applications is still in a pioneering phase of
experiments that hopefully will help resolve some negative aspects related to the use of fossil-based
products. The particular chemical composition of lignin is potentially suitable to replace fossil
sources in the production of basic chemicals and some polymers.
For many years, this macromolecule has been used almost exclusively, after isolation, for energy
purposes in the pulp and paper industries. Today, lignin is considered a potential renewable
precursor in the development of high-value applications such as controlled release devices, novel
composites, nanoparticle applications, application devices in electronics, carbon fiber
manufacturing, and absorbing and dispersing agents. Furthermore, among the various applications,
lignin is currently being studied to be used in the future as a starting point for the preparation of
adhesives for the production of green building panels, polyurethanes and coating surfaces. The aim
of the thesis project was to isolate the lignins derived from wheat straw and cardoon residues by
different extraction techniques and to characterize them to highlight the structural properties and
therefore the potential applications. [edited by Author]XXXIV cicl
Intervista a Paolo Carusi e Gioachino Lanotte.
The book Cantagiro. Storia e musica di un decennio tra tradizione e modernità recounts the story of one
of Italy’s most important singing events in its initial decade, when the record industry was able to offer youth
consumers the various musical trends that this traveling show punctually recorded thanks to specific groups. At
the beginning of the 1970s, the Cantagiro was affected by the change of the Italian society and after two years of
relegation to the theatres the event would be interrupted

2021 - 2022This work has a two-fold objective, achieved through two lines of
research. The first, purely industrial, focuses on the technical-scientific
difficulties related to collecting, tokenizing, and producing value from data
generated during work activities. Specifically, the proposed solution utilizes a
combination of IoT and Smart Contract technologies for data collection and
the creation of work-based blockchain assets, while providing a pilot study
for managing automatic business payments. This solution is at the forefront
of the literature in terms of scalability, value creation, security, attention to
regulation, and protection of the parties' rights. The second strand, purely
scientific, focuses on applying Financial Computing to tokens generated by
Smart Contracts during data collection, using mathematical methods that
are inspired by the philosophy of Value Investing for asset evaluation. The aim
is to generate business models and facilitate the measurement of financial
risk of structured portfolios to support decision-making processes in
contexts of info-uncertainty and info-incompleteness, where subjectivity and
experience prevail. This assessment arises from extended probability theory,
which allows reconstructing the occurrence of an event in contexts where
information are missing, and is applicable to financial markets where
decisions based on subjective and incomplete information are necessary.
The extended probability theory and its application to financial instruments
are validated through an experimentation on intangible assets that are part of
the sports market. It is then used to build a model called the Token Evaluation
System, which allows evaluating digital assets and facilitating risk
management in a structured portfolio. In summary, this work presents a solid
theoretical and methodological basis, combined with a practical
demonstration through the realization of a Proof of Concept, demonstrating
the proposed solution's effectiveness and ability to generate value for the
industry. This work represents an important step forward in using blockchain
technology and Financial Computing for risk assessment and management in
innovative financial markets, ensuring greater transparency, security, and
automation in work and associated asset management, and opening up new
opportunities for efficiency and economic growth. [edited by Author]XXXV cicl
In this paper, I will analyze the evolution of adoption laws in Argentina during the military dictatorship in the 1970s of the 20th centuries. It is particularly evident how much the structure of the laws themselves favored the drama of the phenomenon of appropriated children and other forms of identity loss. Ximena Vicario case is also pro-posed, in which for the first time the nullity of a full adoption was ratified. A reference is made to the role of “testimony literature” with the text by Victoria Donda, a proper daughter who decides to rediscover her own identity. A joint reading of the two cases offers interpretive keys that enrich the understanding of a traumatized memory that evokes images of horror
