While linguistic variety, both internal and external, might enhance the language system, this is not the
case for French in the Moroccan context. Internal variation does not provide any advantage to the Fren-
ch language, as all the processes involved in its acquisition and learning are detached from any specific
context and are limited to the realm of “formal linguistics”. French, being the dominant language, would
not benefit from external diversity in terms of exchanging and mutually enriching itself. In fact, only
French is granted the privilege to be spoken, thereby preventing the occurrence of language contact and the subsequent potential for enrichment. The current study, which is inherently complex, as it is exami-
ned through the lens of complexity pedagogy, enabled us to reexamine key notions in (post) Saussurean
linguistics and propose the following: The sociolinguistic variation, which involves promoting contacts
and considering real language situations, leads us to assert that language products are triply articulated:
first in metaspeech, then in words, and finally in sounds
«Sua disïanza vuol volar sanz’ ali». Considerazioni metaletterarie sulla funzione di Bernardo nella Commedia
Se nel finale della Vita Nuova Dante predisponeva il
lettore all’evoluzione stilistica e semantica della
If in the finale of the Vita Nuova Dante predisposed
the reader to the stylistic and semantic evolution of
the Comedy, the poem's ending puts him face to face
with the limitations of his poetic design: the impossibility of molding a praise of the feminine that is more
solemn than the stylnovistic one and at the same
time less elevated than the religious one. This determines a problematic of an argumentative nature –
which Perelman leads back to the concept of rhetorical incompatibility – also identifiable at the basis of
Dante's choice to insert saint Berard at the end of his
ultra worldly journey. Dante would thus resolve that
the only way not to risk repeating himself in an identical praise is to replace the speaker at the time of the
meeting with the Virgin, safeguarding the originality
of his inspiration with which he completed the final
commitment of the Vita Nuova
In recent years, new fields of inquiry have opened up for argotologues: in fact, films also bear witness to
“the evolution of argot”, as theorized by Goudailler (2006). The case of Touchez pas au grisbi (1954) seems very interesting, since the dialogue writer of this cult, Albert Simonin, is the author of the homonymous work which inspired Jacques Becker. A great connoisseur of the life of the milieu, Simonin works with the filmmaker on the adaptation of the first book of the trilogy dedicated to Max le Menteur, a prototype of the French gangster which marks a new stage for the detective genre. The writer takes up the challenge of
transposing a “hyper-argotisant” text (François, 1975) by adopting some “procédés d’intégration stylisti-
que” (Sourdot 2006) which prove even more effective than the means which he used to familiarize the
readers of his novel with the language of the milieu
This paper examines a project conducted on the historical archive of the
Opera Pizzigoni Association (ASOP) from a public history perspective. The ASOP archive
is not a school archive but holds records concerning the educational method devised by
Giuseppina Pizzigoni (1870-1947). Already in the early 1900s, Pizzigoni had understood
the importance of documenting both the development of her method and the process that
prompted the construction of a new school building. This school still exists today and is
the leading place where the Pizzigoni method is currently applied. The Opera Pizzigoni
has chosen to prioritize the archive, setting out to safeguard it from deterioration and to
facilitate a rigorous rediscovery of Pizzigoni’s work as an educationalist. After the archive
was declared of historic interest, the association launched, alongside an ongoing process
of cataloging and digitization, some public history initiatives designed to make the archive’s heritage contents more accessible and user-friendly
The visit to the War Memorial in Bari. Learning History as direct memory
The decision to consider the Military War Memorial of the Fallen Overseas in Bari as a place for a concrete exercise of Public History starts from the desire
to support “the paradigm of participatory action research […] a research modality that
for the pedagogical field has been the privileged reason of contact with the territory, of
building a relationship of collaboration and training especially with schools, museums,
associations and territorial bodies” (Manifesto of the Public History of Education, 2020,
point 2). This includes the path that was implemented with the Licei Cartesio in Triggiano, whose final year students were invited to actively participate in and rediscover a
place that was familiar to them but not really known
La costituzione del Centro Documentazione Agesci
Since the 1980s, the Italian Catholic Guides and Scouts Association (Agesci) has felt the need to create a National Study and Documentation Centre, divided into
an Archive, a Library and an Emeroteca. It should be remembered that Agesci, by its very
nature, is not particularly concerned with preserving its historical identity and the heritage of experience that has matured since 1916, when scouting began in Italy. The aim
of this article is to illustrate the path taken by the Association in order to discover and
understand the value of the heritage it has preserved, its importance and potential uses,
as well as the difficulties and problems it has encountered. Recognised for its value by the
Superintendency of Cultural Heritage of the Lazio Region, it has carried out the scientific
sorting of the historical archive and the cataloguing of the library heritage, available on
the web and linked to other scout libraries in Italy
The essay reports a recent Public History experience made whithin the
MuSEd (School and Education Museum ‘Mauro Laeng’) of the Roma Tre University under the title Le scuole di Roma al MuSEd.
That Public hHstory experience, made in the 2022 and 2023
accademic years in collaboration with the Regional School Office (USR), is a project for
teacher training of every school level and for school directors. The teacher training aims at
introducing participants to the knowledge, valorisation and didactic use of the historicaleducational heritage, so as to bring them closer to a renewed history teaching, enhanced
in its constructive possibilities, in dialogue with existing sources in the territory
Starting with an analysis of the unpublished doc umentation preserved in the archives of the Con gregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the essay
aims to retrace the reasons that led the Church,
between 1823 and 1827, to place some of Alfieri's
writings on the Index of Forbidden Books, in par ticular the Life, the Satires, the Panegyric of Pliny
at Trajan and the treatises Of Tyranny and The
Prince and Letters, considered to be vehicles of
liberal and anticlerical ideas. At the same time, I
will question the motivations behind the exclusion
of the tragedies from the prohibition, linked to
aesthetic criteria. The Alfierian case is thus taken
as the starting point for a broader reflection on
the modus operandi of the consultants and on the
dynamics that characterised censorship in the
pre-unification era
