    Get PDF
The purpose of this research is to increase students\u27 interest in reading, to introduce students to a variety of reading sources to be used as media, learning resources, and to provide an enjoyable reading experience. Based on observations made on October 10 2022, SDN 90 Sipatana had just been renovated so a reading corner had not been made yet because the principal of SDN 90 Sipatana had just moved and there were also several classes which did not yet have a reading corner because the school had just been renovated. After we found out that there was no reading corner in class V, so we decided to make our project, namely a literacy corner (reading corner). This study used qualitative research, in this study, data collection through observation, interviewing students using a questionnaire (instrument), then processing the data and making conclusions about how enthusiastic the fifth grade students at SDN 90 SIPATANA are in reading books. After conducting interviews and observations of the homeroom teacher for class V SDN 90 Sipatana, we then distributed questionnaires to students to find out the reading interests of class V students at SDN 90 Sipatana. Questionnaires were distributed to 28 students present, the questionnaire consisted of 10 questions that had to be filled in by students

A CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF SHIELDING THE CYBERSPACE: A REVIEW ON THE ROLE OF AI IN CYBER SECURITY

    Get PDF
This review focuses on the critical analysis of AI’s role in cybersecurity to investigate the issues in the cybersecurity space. By utilizing synchronous and scattered sources on the topic in question, the opinion paper focuses capacity on AI-embedded technologies to enhance cybersecurity and discourage cyber-attacks making critical infrastructure impenetrable by malicious persons [1]. The paper is concerned with applying AI solutions paired with research documenting theoretical outcomes obtained from academic sources, field reports, and practical case examples. Suggestions, pros, and cons of those solutions, as well as the implications, are presented. More importantly, the paper does not only touch on the ethical and policy aspects of AI application in cyber security, but there is also a need for a detailed approach to cyber security, an approach that unites technological innovation to privacy, transparency, and accountability [1]. In contrast, the article brings attention to future developments and innovations in AI-based cybersecurity, which is a crucial need of the hour. AI evolution is seen in different aspects, such as designing complex Machine Learning algorithms till the inclusion of AI in Security Operations Centers (SOCs) and Threat Intelligence Platforms, which have prepared reliable weapons for cyber defense systems

MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF RECYCLED LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE MANUFACTURED USING RECYCLED LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE AGGREGATE: A REVIEW

    Get PDF
In the construction industry, the use of lightweight aggregate is increasing rapidly due to its benefits of; low total dead load, reduction in overall project cost, good insulation properties and how they perform during earthquakes. This offers a solution towards attaining sustainability and low environmental impact in the construction sector. In the production of lightweight concrete, lightweight aggregates typically used are; forming agents that creates stable bubbles within the concrete, pumice, diatomite, perlite, clay, shale and vermiculite. Over the years, researchers have explored the benefits of recycled aggregates like waste tire rubbers and bottom ash on the performance of lightweight concrete. However, research on recycled lightweight concrete aggregate is limited and less detailed. This study reviews the studies conducted using recycled lightweight concrete aggregate and the finding revealed that; despite the satisfactory performance and waste reduction potential, concrete manufactured using recycled Lightweight concrete aggregate displayed lower performance compared to standard concrete. Therefore, more research is necessary towards improving the performance of recycled lightweight aggregate concrete

DESIGN RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BUILDINGS IN CHENNAI USING MAHONEY TABLE

    Get PDF
In the current scenario, the necessity of sustainable living environment is the essential need of the hour. The recent expansion of the Chennai metropolitan area as a Greater Chennai Corporation by inclusion of suburban zones makes it as one of the fastest growing cities. In addition to that Chennai city developed more infrastructure development in almost all areas that also includes “smart city” project. These types of infrastructure development lead to various climatic issues bringing negative impact on the environment leading to blocking of gifts of nature like air, wind, water. However, we cannot give up development of city since it is economically essential for the development of industries which totally depends on manual labour who are to be accommodated in these building structures. This does not mean that we can compromise with the natural environment. Even in the past, our earlier generations were aware of the benefits from certain climatic features by adopting appropriate building design. This paper gives an intuition into the design recommendations for climatic design approaches for the city of Chennai through Mahoney calculation

For every law enforcement agency investigator, cyber forensic professional’s and investigators facing a challenge of Digital Crime Scene. In day-to-day life, the accused person or victim person may use high technology to ease their respective jobs. So, both persons can have the different intentions for using the technology. Accused person may be aware about technology used but the victim person might be unaware about the technology used such as digital payment options called digital wallet, different mobile application looking a very attractive or the application used for remote connection. Digital wallet is one of simplest example of cash transactions and the purpose may be commit a crime either intentionally or unintentionally. This kind of crimes are executed with secure locations with different digital medias such as hard drives, pen drives, hidden cameras, server’s, skimmers etc. So, to investigate this kind of crime such as data leaks from server, laptop, computers, corporate digital medias the investigator or concerned authority should raid the location along with Digital Forensic Expert, search and seizure warrant or permission letters. So, the objective of this paper is to explain the requirements and summarize the guidance for law enforcement agencies or corporate entity about management of digital crime scene- procedures, roles for investigator and cyber forensic expert, documentation required on digital crime scene. This article is very useful to the students looking career in Digital forensics, law enforcement agencies and corporate digital forensic service provide

In this research work, the authors are nominating a solution for busy life style of the people to convert their waiting time into the shopping time without going to any shopping mall. A ‘QR’ code is used to provide this above-mentioned solution due to various advantages over other systems. Combination of Image Processing with Data Mining to provide encoding and decoding data into QR for providing various services has been done. Authors conclude that the data mining technology can generate new business opportunities by providing the capabilities, automated prediction of trends and behaviors, and automated discovery of previously unknown patterns

    Get PDF
This study Examines the Relationship of Learner- Generated Digital Media and Behavioral Intention to use Mobile Learning Among College Students in Panabo City. The primary objective of this study is to determine the significant difference in the level of Behavioral Intention to use Mobile Learning when grouped according to Gender, Age Group, and Program. The researchers used the quota sampling technique to select 120 respondents. Since Panabo City has many Colleges Schools, the researchers choose four institutions: Davao del Norte State College, Northlink Technological College, University of Mindanao, and ACES Polytechnic College. The study collects data through surveys, and the instruments used in the study were the adopted questionnaires on Using Digital Media from the study of [3] and Behavioral Intention to use Mobile Learning from the study of [16]. The items were modified to fit into the study, the indicators were validated and examined by the research adviser before it was laid on to the study in answering the questionnaire, and the respondents will evaluate their answers based on the 5-point Likert Scale. The mean of indicators will be interpreted based on the range of means, descriptive rating, and interpretation. It also found that there is a significant relationship between the level of Learner-Generated Digital Media and Behavioral Intention to use Mobile Learning when grouped according to Gender, Age Group, and Program has an effect on college students of Panabo City
