POWER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT IN A GRID CONNECTED RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEM
In distributed system, renewable energy resources (RES) are progressively incorporated using power electronics interfaces. Extensive use of power electronics devices produce harmonic current and may reduce quality of power. In this paper, renewable energy resources (RES) is linked to the grid through a grid interfacing inverter for power quality improvement. The grid interfacing inverter is linked to a 3- phase 4-wire system and hysteresis current control method is used to generate gate pulses. Here renewable energy resource (RES) is represented as a dc source. The grid interfacing inverter has the capability of injecting RES power to the grid and also reduces load unbalance, load harmonics and reactive power demand is compensated. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of the grid connected system is analyzed. The simulation has been carried out in MATLAB/Simulink.
 
VALUE ADDITION TO HUMAN RESOURCES THROUGH SHARED EDUCATIONAL ASSETS
India and Israel officially setup diplomatic relations in 1992. Since then they have collaborated on a host of development issues like agriculture, space research, information Technology etc. There has also been a large component of people-to-people interaction.Both nations have a large pool of technically sound man power. Yet, the strengths of their respective technical human resources are not the same. Israel has a certain niche in the technical field, India has another. The idea is to leverage the strengths of both nations and synergize them. This paper proposes institutionalizing Indo-Israeli collaboration in technical areas by opening an IIT in Israel and a Technion University campus in India. Both Indian and Israeli students will graduate together from both these Institutions. This paper discusses the various aspects of such collaboration
THE VOLTAGE STABILITY ANALYSIS OF SHIP ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEM USING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK(ANN)
An crucial, independent electric power system for ships is the ship\u27s electric power system. Increased ship tonnage and a rise in the number of electric-powered ships result in an increase in the generator capacity at a marine power plant. Modern marines use electric propulsion technology, so the voltage stability control system needs to be more effective. The electricity generated by diesel generators drives a vessel\u27s propulsion system in addition to being sent to each load. If the marine power system\u27s voltage is not maintained within an acceptable range, the marine electrical system will be severely harmed. The idea of voltage stability and the current state of the research were first summarised in this work. A critical step in a voltage stability analysis is choosing the right load model because any factor that significantly raises tension losses also raises load losses. A SURVEY ON AN EFFECTIVE TECHNIQUE TO IMPROVE THE ACCURACY OF REQUIREMENT TRACEABILITY LINKS
Traceability is the only means to ensure that the source code of a system is consistent with its requirements and that all and only the specified requirements have been implemented by developers. During software maintenance and evolution, requirement traceability links become obsolete because developers do not/cannot devote effort to update them. Yet, recovering these traceability links later is a daunting and costly task for developers. Consequently, the literature has proposed methods, techniques, and tools to recover these traceability links semi-automatically or automatically. Among the proposed techniques, the literature showed that information retrieval (IR) techniques can automatically recover traceability links between free-text requirements and source code. However, IR techniques lack accuracy (precision and recall). In the dissertation, the mining software repositories and combining mined results with IR techniques can improve the accuracy (precision and recall) of IR techniques and propose Trustrace, a trust-based traceability recovery approach
DESIGN & MANUFACTURING OF WATER JAR CLEANING MACHINE
Jar washing machines are mainly used by several industries for quick and efficient use and for washing, bleaching, and drying jars before filling them with solution, liquids, or powders. Because jar washing is a job that permits not a single mistake in terms of hygiene and product safety. And at the same time, it demands the economical utilization of water as a valuable resource. So, the whole project is made using SS (stainless steel) frame. There is a water pump placed under the jar stand which is used to force the water from the lower level (tank) to the rinse rod. When the button is pressed the pump gets on and the water forcefully flows inside the jar through the rinse rod. And then water is then collected or thrown out by the pipe connection underneath the jar
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF SUGARCANE LIFTING MACHINE
India is one of the major agricultural countries in the world. Maharashtra is a major sugarcane cultivating state had the majority of labors for the lifting of sugarcane manually, but that was the situation 10- 20 years back. Today, as the demand for sugarcane products like sugar has increased, the cultivation of sugarcane is also increased. But as there has been a shortage of labor for the sugarcane lifting process, sugarcane which is ready for lifting is left as it is in the field and dried which affects its quality & quantity of sugar content in it due to delay in supplying to the sugarcane industry. The process of lifting consists of cutting the cane from the bottom, then cutting off its top leaves, making a bundle which consists of 10 to 15 canes each and then carrying it to the trucks and loading it.

Onion is densely produced crop in India. The harvesting of onion crop is laborious work and requires huge amount of manpower and time. As a part of harvesting of onion, root and shoot has to be trimmed manually, this is a labour oriented process. One of the main reasons of low productivity is low level of mechanization and less technology utilization n. Machine for cutting root and shoot is not available in India and imported machines are expensive and an Indian farmer cannot afford such high price. Farmers incur financial loss because of non-availability of manpower. The purpose of the work is to “design and develop a prototype of onion root and shoot cutting machine” that can cut the root and shoot of onion once fed into the machine. EGG HATCHING INCUBATOR
Incubation is the process of keeping the fertilized eggs warm in order to allow proper development of the embryo into a chick. It is important to control the same factors of temperature, humidity, ventilation, and egg turning. Unsatisfactory results are mostly produced with the improper control of temperature and/or humidity. Improper control means that the temperature or humidity is too high or too low for a sufficient length of time that it interferes with the normal growth and development of embryo.The common problems in incubation are the improper control of temperature that can cause damage to the development of the embryo and decrease poultry’s production. This consumes more labor and time for the owner. Moreover, it is difficult to monitor the incubator using manual monitoring that is very important in incubation.In this study, a poultry egg incubator temperature and humidity controller with SMS notification was designed, constructed and tested to evaluate its performance

EXPERIMENTAL AND MICRO STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF WELDED JOINTS
Welded joints are widely found in almost all applications like construction structures, automotive, industrial roofs and many more applications. A welding joint is a point or edge where two or more pieces of metal or plastic are joined together. They are formed by welding two or more work pieces (metal or plastic) according to a particular geometry. The strengths of these joints are of great concern as in today’s world these joints find a very crucial place in growths of structures and machine parts and it is the strength of such joints and welding which decides the service life of such structures and thus prevent from loss whether be it human loss, economic loss or the any such losses. In this paper we have taken few special and most commonly joints which is used by the industry and dealt with their microscopic and macroscopic behaviour when subjected to certain general types of loading. In this work we have taken three welding joints and welded them by three processes and then we have obtained its microscopic structure with the help of a metallurgical microscope and then have tested it on UTM machine so as to obtain its strength. Then we have plotted the strengths on the graph so as to suggest the best welding process for a particular joint
