ANALYSING SHIP RESPONSE IN LONG CRESTED SEA IN WEST AFRICA OFFSHORE
The responses of a typical barge are critical to marine operation and especially its crew. This response can be analyzed in the seaway medium, which could be in the form of sea energy in long crested wave. Hence, the comparative analysis of the vessel response in both sea state is paramount research interest. This research compares the response of the vessel in heave mode with regard to long crested waves. Strip theory and Lewis conformal mapping were used to compute the two-dimensional added mass and damping coefficient. Rhinoceros and AutoCAD software packages were used to model the vessel, which generated 43 strips and the corresponding offset table. Froude Kryloy force and hydrostatic pressure force which form the excitation force were computed simultaneously for the response in long crested with varying directional spread using Runge Kutta 4th order equation with the aid of Mat lab. The study confirms that the linear strip approach is valid for heave response of vessel in long crested waves for length ratio not exceeding six. However various seaways was shown in this research. Even with different headings the discrepancy in the various seaway was minimal and at 0.4 rad/s the heave response tended to zer
EXAMPLE OF CALCULATION OF REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAM SPANS FOR TEMPORARY (A-14 AND NK-100) AND PERMANENT
An example of the computation of reinforced concrete beam spans for calculated temporary (A-14 and NK-100) and permanent loads was given in the article. Bridges are built to withstand a variety of loads, each of which consists of a mix of permanent and live loads
DETERMINATION OF MODAL PARAMETERS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE TUNNEL RETROFITTED WITH CFRP USING FINITE ELEMENT METHOD
In this paper, the effectiveness of (CFRP) fabric-reinforced concrete, as a means of increasing the rigidity of tunnel lining, was experimentally and analytically investigated. Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) is a practical option construction material that has been utilized considerably in the reinforcement of concrete structures. Reinforcement has been implemented by wrapping 4 mm thick CFRP fabric around a concrete tunnel of 5 m in diameter and 25 m in length. The differences between modal parameters of the concrete tunnel and CFRP reinforced concrete tunnel were compared. These modal parameters are period and mode shapes. The first 5 modes of the situation with and without (CFRP) were examined with finite element method. Improvements between 7.86% - 30.24% have been observed in the periods of the first 5 modes. Accordingly, CFRP reinforcement method can be used for safety on concrete tunnels
THE LEGAL STRUCTURE OF CRIMINAL LAW IN TERMS OF DETERMINING TO DISCERN CRIMINAL JUSTICE: A PROPORTIONAL ASSORTMENT FOR AN EASY CONSCIOUSNESS"
The widespread belief is that fair methods are the best assurance of fair outcomes. Making and enforcing decisions following fair procedures is what procedural justice is all about. People feel validated when procedures treat them with respect and dignity, making it simpler for them to accept even unfavorable outcomes. Additionally, Criminal justice is the process of bringing persons who have committed crimes to justice. A multitude of government departments and organizations make up the criminal justice system. The rehabilitation of offenders, the prevention of other crimes, and spiritual assistance for victims are all goals. Though there are many governmental institutions which are working on assuring justice the crime victim get their remedies, but for a basic guidelines and awareness, it is necessary to know the basic legal structure of the criminal law. So the primary objective is to clarify and demonstrate the role of the criminal law to assure Public Justice under the comparative global legal frame

FIRE DETECTION AND CONTROL SYSTEM USING ARDUINO
The fire alarm and controlling method present in this paper includes the use of various electrical and electronics instruments and water sprinkling system. Fire is considered as the most dangerous hazard at Residential Area, Commercial Area, industries etc. It is very dangerous and can affect human life and cause a mass destruction of properties that’s why we require high security and control to avoid this mass destruction. That’s why to protect from the danger caused by fire, preventive measures are to install an automatic fire alarm detector at endangered locations, hence the Arduino fire alarm detection and control system was proposed. It is capable of automatically detecting smoke or fire in a given environment, sound an alarm, switch off MCB switch of the building and also spray water to reduce the intensity of fire. The system uses a LM35 sensor, MQ2 sensor, a 5V buzzer, 230V DC (Direct Current) motor, a GSM (Global System Mobile) Module sim800l to send SMS (Short Message Service), GPS (Global Positioning System) Module Neo 6, an LCD screen 16X2, Relay and Arduino UNO Atmega328p Fire Alarm and controlling system is a system that sense the fire from respective sensors and activates Buzzer. Fire Alarm System and controlling is the important to sense fire in the proper time and take safety measures to avoid many hazards to humans or property. Fire Alarm System, smoke and tempreture Sensors are a part of the entire systems which help in detecting the fire and take necessary actions to avoid damage. in the market there are many fire alarms available, but they are expensive and having complicated design and system, but in our system we have designed in simple form and it includes the water sprinkling also. The primary purpose of this fire alarm and controlling system is to give an immediate warning of fire so that respective person of that building can be informed and immediate action can be taken so that prevent fire effect and hazards caused by it as soon as possible
OVER-OPTIMISM OF OIL AND GAS PROPERTY EVALUATION: A REVIEW
Oil & gas exploration and production is associated with a lot of uncertainties and risks but it is surprising that even with the potential negative outcomes, the value of petroleum assets are usually overly optimistic and over-confident. This over-confidence usually arises during evaluation of the assets. It has been deduced from intense research that most of the over-optimism results from either human bias, error from evaluation models or both.In this paper, the possible causes of the over-optimism in oil property evaluation and the possible effects on both technical and economic decisions are highlighted and discussed. Improper evaluation of oil and gas assets in the past has made some oil and gas companies to write down their assets which has attracted legal actions and fines. Thus, this research work is of great importance to oil and gas companies as it will help prevent over-optimism in evaluating their assets and also stresses the need to employ standard tools and procedures while making economic valuation
INVESTIGATION OF BEHAVIOUR OF STEEL FIBER REINFORCED SELF COMPACTING CONCRETE
Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is considered as a concrete which can be placed and compacted under its self weight with little or no vibration effort and which is at the same time cohesive enough to be handled without segregation or bleeding. Chemical admixtures are, however, expensive, and their use may increase the materials cost. Savings in labor cost might offset the increased cost, but the use of mineral admixtures such as fly ash, blast furnace slag, or limestone filler could increase the slump of the concrete mixture without increasing its cost.Fly ash has high pozzolanic reactivity and low price as compared to silica fume and fly ash as it is a manufactured product. It reduces free drying shrinkage and restrains the shrinkage cracking width. It also helps in enhancing the compressive strength and durability of concrete
PREDICTION OF VEHICLE’S MOVEMENT USING CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NETWORK (CNN)
This paper is concerned with the development of a self-driving vehicle model that can navigate its way around the virtual simulator from source to destination by detecting lanes, objects and making predictions for vehicle movement. The source and destination for the vehicle is provided as input at first and a shortest route is calculated using A* search algorithm. Then, the images captured from the live stream of the simulator and other vehicle measurements are passed into the pipeline which is responsible for detecting road lanes, objects in the image and finally making accurate predictions for driving the vehicle. Road lanes are detected using Canny Edge Detection and Hough Transform. Faster R-CNN algorithm is used for object detection. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is trained and used to predict the movement of the vehicle. The project is shown in Carla simulator
