Solution problem waste focused on waste _ bottle plastic is use of plastic bottle waste bank ( waste bank bottle plastic "BSBP"). In research this , BSBP is designed in accordance with needs users in order for them want to use it . BSBP has form base resemble bottle with 240 cm high , 100 cm in diameter and capable accommodate about 1440 bottles . BSBP will have color base bright light up red combination yellow . BSBP will also be equipped with a counter that can measure amount its users and the stickers it contains step usage . Next , for BSBP implementation requires a socialization strategy offline and online. Study this especially for offline mode . Socialization this aimed at students and staff know and want throw away rubbish plastic bottles and cups in the waste bank . Socialization process will using community-based social-marketing. KINETICS AND THERMODYNAMIC STUDIES ON SORPTION POTENTIAL OF HYBRID ADSORBENT PRODUCED FROM SNAIL SHELL AND RICE HUSK
Get PDFThe present study deals with the application of Snail Shell and Rice Husk (RH-SS), an agricultural and animal waste, for the adsorptive removal of phenol from pharmaceutical effluent. This paper incorporates the effects of time, dose, temperature, concentration, and pH on the efficient removal of phenol from pharmaceutical Effluent. Batch kinetic and isotherm studies have also been performed to understand the ability of the adsorbents. The adsorption behavior of the Phenol has been studied using Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption isotherm models. The monolayer adsorption capacity determined from the Langmuir adsorption equation has been found as 149.25 mg/g. Kinetic measurements suggest the involvement of pseudo-second-order kinetics in adsorptions. Adsorption of phenol on adsorbents was found to increase on decreasing phenol effluent concentration, increasing pH up to 5 and increasing effluent temperature up to 35oC. Overall, the present findings suggest that the composite of Rice Husk and Snail Shell (RH-SS) is environmentally friendly, efficient and low-cost biosorbent which is useful for the removal of Phenol from waste water
THE EFFECT OF PLANTAIN AND BANANA PEEL ASH ON THE PROPERTIES OF CONCRETE

In recent times, efforts to reduce the harmful environmental impacts as a result of agricultural and industrial activities has led to the utilization of wastes and by-products which will normally end up in landfills. Over the years, several agro-wastes and industrial by-products has been investigated by researchers and incorporated into concrete as admixtures to access their suitability in influencing specific properties of the concrete. The massive production of banana (145 million tonnes globally) and plantain (over of 2,722,000 metric tons in Nigeria) has resulted in large waste generation in the form of banana peels. Therefore, it is significant to research ways of recycling such waste for further use. This paper reviews the effect of utilizing plantain peel ash and banana peel ash/powder as admixtures in concrete. The findings revealed that banana peel ash and banana peel powder positively influence the strength properties of concrete; while plantain peel ash did not yield adequate strength qualities but can be satisfactorily employed as a retardation admixtures because it increases setting time of concrete. Research gaps were identified and recommendations outlined

In this paper a cost effective novel single phase digital energy meter is developed with the help of Microcontroller which is capable of calculating true value of active, reactive, apparent power, power factor and energy consumed. The designed meter is simple, portable and easily reconfigurable according to specific need. The parameters calculated are transmitted to the billing on energy meter display. In this for the we communicate to eliminating the need for the utility personnel calculate meter reading without any manual calculations. This data gets logged in and is used for generating bills and can also be used for analysis in the order to improve the power quality and understand the load and use pattern.
