EVALUATION OF COMBINED EFFECTS OF THERMAL AND MECHANICAL STRESSES ON THE PRESSURE VESSEL
One of the several plant components for which stress evaluations must be done is the pressure vessel. Primary stresses and secondary stresses are the two basic types of stresses that a pressure vessel endures. Pressure within the pressure vessel causes primary strains, while heat loading causes secondary stresses. An enormous amount of thermal stress occurs in a pressure vessel that handles hot fluid. Typically, thermo-mechanical loadings are present in liquid metal reactors (LMR). Induced stresses are determined analytically using pressure vessel ASME codes or theory. In this study, coupled field analysis for thermo-mechanical loading with ANSYS is used to compute induced stresses. The outcomes are next contrasted with analytical outcomes. The use of a commercial FEA tool instead of an analytical technique is demonstrated in this study. Thermal stress may be calculated using empirical connections provided by analytical solutions like ASME and Japanese Code. In the pressure vessel industry, using FEA tools is not particularly common. Natural destructions that we cannot stop.But humans are becoming increasingly aware in the concept of intelligent rescues operations in such calamities cannot be stopped.Still there are lots of disasters that occur all of a sudden and Eartquake is one such things.Earthquakes produce a devastating effects and they see no difference between human and material.Hence a lot of times humans are buried among the debries and it became impossible to detect them.In the past ,when victims were trapped under earthquake rubble, there was a little chances that they would found .This was due the fact that rescue techniques such as optical devices, acoustic devices or robotic systems wre found limited applications for the detection buried victims.If victim was unconscious and was unable to shout for help then the existing rescue system found to be failed. Fabrication and Performance Analysis of Hybrid Configuration Micro-Mixers
Mostly the micro channel parts are significant for lab on a chip device. Use of micro mixers is in biomedical devices and micro fluidic applications. The fabrication of micro mixers is quite tough by using conventional manufacturing. To characterize technology, different methods are used for the fabrication of micro channel. By using both conventional and non-conventional techniques, like micro milling, lithography, embossing processes and laser ablation processing. In the present days, Acrylic comes in a wide variety of standard. The fact that some of them are bullet resistant, it is now in highly demand. Acrylics come in various shapes. There are many ways of processing them, and the one discussed here is the process done by using laser cutter machines. The process is called laser-cutting process. In this paper, a study on the use of a commercial CO2 laser system for fabrication of micro-channel moulds using acrylic material. The accuracy of micro mixer mainly depends on the fabricated moulds. By using laser power and scanning speed we can control the depth of micro channel. To analyse the effect of Laser power and scanning speed on the depth of the Micro mixers mould primary experimentation is performed. According to analysis, it is observed that the depth of micro mixer mould increasing linearly with an increase in laser power and decreasing with increasing speed. The Y shape micro mixers hybrid configurations are designed and their experimental and numerical analysis is carried out using COMSOL Multiphysics software
Performance Analysis of Mini-Cold Room
Food wastage due to insufficient storage and preservation facilities is a significant problem in India. Cold storage facilities provide controlled environments for maintaining perishable food items. This paper explores different approaches used in cold storage, including mechanical refrigeration, insulation, air circulation, and humidity control. The paper presents a prototype mini cold storage system and evaluates its performance. The experiments were conducted to get the performance of the system in terms of various performance parameters such as COP, refrigeration effect, compressor work, etc. In future, this suggested technology in combination with solar PV generation and the introduction of PCM will be efficient cold storage management
