Dataset: Deenz Dark Triad Scale – Poland
This dataset comes from a study conducted in Poland with 44 participants. The goal of the study was to measure personality traits known as the Dark Triad. The Dark Triad consists of three key traits that influence how people think and behave towards others. These traits are Machiavellianism, Narcissism, and Psychopathy.
Machiavellianism refers to a person's tendency to manipulate others and be strategic in their actions. People with high Machiavellianism scores often believe that deception is necessary to achieve their goals. Narcissism is related to self-importance and the need for admiration. Individuals with high narcissism scores may see themselves as special and expect others to recognize their greatness. Psychopathy is linked to impulsive behavior and a lack of empathy. People with high psychopathy scores tend to be less concerned about the feelings of others and may take risks without worrying about consequences.
Each participant in the dataset answered 30 questions, divided into three sections, with 10 questions per trait. The answers were recorded using a Likert scale from 1 to 5, where:
1 means "Strongly Disagree"
2 means "Disagree"
3 means "Neutral"
4 means "Agree"
5 means "Strongly Agree"
This scale helps measure how much a person agrees with statements related to each of the three traits.
The dataset also includes basic demographic information. Each participant has a unique ID (such as P001, P002, etc.) to keep their identity anonymous. The dataset records their age, which ranges from 18 to 60 years old, and their gender, which is categorized as "Male," "Female," or "Other."
The responses in the dataset are realistic, with small variations to reflect natural differences in personality. On average, participants scored around 3.2 for Machiavellianism, meaning most people showed a moderate tendency to be strategic or manipulative. The average Narcissism score was 3.5, indicating that some participants valued themselves highly and sought admiration. The average Psychopathy score was 2.8, showing that most participants did not strongly exhibit impulsive or reckless behaviors.
This dataset can be useful for many purposes. Researchers can use it to analyze personality traits and see how they compare across different groups. The data can also be used for cross-cultural comparisons, allowing researchers to study how personality traits in Poland differ from those in other countries. Additionally, psychologists can use this data to understand how Dark Triad traits influence behavior in everyday life.
The dataset is saved in a CSV format, which makes it easy to open in programs like Excel, SPSS, or Python for further analysis. Because the data is structured and anonymized, it can be used safely for research without revealing personal information.
In summary, this dataset provides valuable insights into personality traits among people in Poland. It allows researchers to explore how Machiavellianism, Narcissism, and Psychopathy vary among individuals. By studying these traits, psychologists can better understand human behavior and how it affects relationships, decision-making, and personal success
Core Study Questionnaire 2024
The Social Study administers a yearly core study questionnaire that captures essential socio-demographic, behavioral, and attitudinal information among all panel members. These data are made freely available to the scientific community, allowing researchers to save time and avoid repeating basic questions in their own surveys within the TSS panel (such as education level or household composition).
The first Core Study Questionnaire of The Social Study was fielded in 2024, collecting a broad range of data across three full survey waves – plus additional questions from other waves – amounting to approximately one hour of survey time
Survey on user requirements for web archiving
This report presents a study conducted to identify and map the specific user requirements for web and social media archives. Researchers, librarians, archivists, and other stakeholders who engage with these digital resources were the focus. The central research question is: “What are user requirements for web and social media archives?” The study aimed to understand the needs and practices of diverse user groups to optimize the usability and effectiveness of these archives. By gathering detailed feedback, the study sought to inform the development of tools, interfaces, and methodologies that align with user expectations and support effective research and analysis.
A survey was launched to collect broader insights into user requirements (see survey text and survey results). This survey ran from October 9 2024 till January 13 2025. To maximize outreach and participation, the survey was distributed through a variety of targeted channels. It was shared with an expert panel via Teams and email, as well as with contacts from the BESOCIAL and PROMISE projects. The survey link was included in the KBR newsletter and shared through relevant mailing lists such as IIPC, JISC, RESAW, and IFLA. It was also promoted within digital humanities communities, including DH Benelux and the DH Early Career Researcher Virtual Discussion Group. A temporary pop-up was added to the KBR website and catalogue to attract visitors organically. Additionally, the survey was promoted on social media channels of KBR and partner institutions, and efforts were made to engage organisers of the Praktijknetwerk Sociale Media Archiveren and researchers at UCLouvain to support further distribution. The survey explored four key areas: content selection, search interface functionalities, API access, and content enrichment, while also collecting basic demographic information and details on respondents’ experience with web archives. This multi-channel dissemination strategy ensured diverse participation, including researchers, librarians, and professionals from libraries, archives, and heritage institutions
Sensitive Data Sharing: The Hows, the Whys, and the Whats
This poster was presented on the Digital Humanities conference in June 2025. The poster details the current work done by the Social Sciences and Digital Humanities Archive (SODHA) paving the way towards appropriate use and reuse of sensitive and/or personal data as part of the Dependable Archive for Managing sensitive Records (DAMAR) project. Abstract The Social Sciences and Digital Humanities Archive (SODHA) is working to include sensitive data into its catalogue. A robust, scalable, and sustainable infrastructure is needed to host such sensitive datasets. Project DAMAR (Dependable Archive for Managing sensitive Records) aims to develop this infrastructure. However, this requires us to take a more thorough look to the legal framework for sensitive data. Standing on this legal foundation, we can implement appropriate procedures

Thick Timeline Modernist Housing Ensemble
The txt document contains a link to 'Thick Timeline Modernist Housing Ensemble'. This link leads to an online document consisting of two animated timelines, which I refer to as ‘thick’ due to the extensive amount of information it contains. These timelines aim to provide a historical overview of the modernist housing ensemble and the undulating movement of the modern period. It also provides a comprehensive reference on modernist housing in Belgium and Europe, as well as noteworthy international projects and events.
The timeline is set up in the Adobe application InDesign and consists of five pages. A small user manual appears first. Followed by the pre-and post-war extensive timelines. The last two sheets cover timelines of a larger selection of projects; respectively, Belgian case studies and International/European (housing) projects. Navigation within the online document is developed as intuitively as possible. To navigate to the previous or next page, click the grey arrows on the right and left of the screen. Zooming in and out or returning to the full screen happens via the toolbar at the bottom of the page. Toggles in the frames to the left of the timeline sheets can be switched on or off to show or hide the different topics/themes/articles. Above the line, you can find European conceptual and utopian ideas, as well as socio-economic and political events and iconic projects. Below the line, you can find socio-economic and political events specific to Belgium, Flemish government structures, and Belgian case studies. Also, ‘focus points’ represented by journal articles and topic-related themes are added. The published articles can be downloaded by clicking on the download icon. Furthermore, all images displayed possess a Creative Commons license or obtained copyrights. A list of image sources can be downloaded by clicking the button in the timelines’ right corner
