The information was collected through two separate interviews during the data gathering: the individual and the focus group
discussion. The majority of the participants agreed and were willing to keep up with the transition. The participants in favor of the change slowly adopted the current generation's technologies. The navigation of the mobile gadgets was a headache for the elderly. Given the finding of this research, the researcher hopes to

The influence of financial literacy towards money management among newlywed couples

The study intends to determine the influence of financial literacy on money management among
newlywed couples in the shoreline areas of Maco, Davao de Oro by evaluating the level of financial literacy in terms of financial knowledge, financial attitude, and financial behavior; and the level of money management particularly in Spending, saving, and Debt of the newlywed couples. It also aims to determine the significant relationship between financial literacy and money management. Also, which domains of financial literacy significantly influence money management of newlywed couples. A Quantitative and Nonexperimental research design is used, with a correlation technique through adapted survey questionnaires where 152 newlyweds responded in the study. Results were tested at a 0.05 level of significance, whereas
financial knowledge has the highest level (4.13 mean and 0.72 standard
deviations). Spending is very much observed (4.31 mean and 0.82 standard deviations) in the couples. Using Pearson-r, significant value (p = 0.001), confirming that the money management of newlywed couples was
significantly associated with the levels of financial literacy. Moreover, through multiple regression analysis, 50.3% variance with a corresponding F-ratio = 49.84 and p = 0.001 revealed that financial literacy has a significant influence on money management. Specifically, Financial Knowledge (Beta = 0.291, t =
3.222, p = 0.002), and Financial Behavior (Beta = 0.335, t = 3.761, p = 0.001) are correlated to money management of the newlywed couples. Everyone struggles with money at least once in their lives. Thus, being financially knowledgeable can be an advantage to mend financial difficulties.ix, 56 page
Language in political speeches : a critical discourse analysis of former Davao City mayor Sara Duterte's SOCAs

Specifically, the rhetorical expressions, semantic expressions, linguistic features, and classifications of ideologies in the political discourses were explored. Through a Critical Discourse Analysis, the researchers explored the use of language and the ideologies represented in such. Findings show that the SOCAs of former Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio contained a variety
of rhetorical expressions and discourse patterns. The researchers also found significant results about semantic macrostructures, which vary from one speech to another. The ideology of positive Us was also represented through powerful statements that show the importance of former Mayor Sara's leadership, administration, projects, and all people involved in her success. The researchers conclude that the former Davao City Mayor used words powerfully to highlight essential accomplishments and to express the value of the critical actors that made these achievements possible

However, gay fathers often face negative stereotypes based on their sexual orientation and disparaging beliefs about their parenting capabilities, which can create parental stresses that affect their lives. Thus, this phenomenological study aims to discover the experiences and coping of gay fathers as they respond to their family needs while living in a world where heterosexual parenting is a norm. The study was composed of 9 gay fathers as participants gathered using purposive sampling. The study's findings show that gay fathers’ parenting was challenged by discrimination, child bullying, dealing with sickness in the family, overcoming financial issues, and their problems within. Despite this, gay fathers cope with the challenges by having a source of income, possessing a positive mentality, and tapping support systems. With that, the study provided an understanding of gay fathers' capability when establishing a family, parenting difficulties, and the need for truth in the family. Based on the result, social workers will learn the difficulties, experiences, and plight of gay fathers in rearing their children. Social Workers may support gay fathers in pursuing their parental duties and responsibilities by initiating significant steps or measures that ensure the security of gay fathers and their children in society, especially in bullying and discrimination
The influence of credibility independence of auditors on SMEs in Tagum City
No full textIn Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science in AccountancyThis quantitative research study is about the influence of auditors' independence towards the credibility of audited financial statements on SMEs in Tagum City. Its primary purpose is to determine what domain of auditors' independence significantly predicts the credibility of audited financial statements. Analyzing auditor independence and the credibility of audited financial statements was done using a non-experimental quantitative research strategy that used correlational and regression approaches. The subjects of the study are 42 accounting and auditing department employees in the entire population of SMEs in Tagum City that were registered during 2021 using non – probability sampling method. Data were statistically treated, analyzed, and interpreted. The study indicates that auditors' independence influences the credibility of audited financial statements. The auditors' independence has an overall mean of high while the credibility of audited financial statements is very high. Results revealed that auditors' independence has a significant relationship with the credibility of audited financial statements. However, when the summary analyzed domains of auditors' independence, results showed that the domains significantly predict the credibility of audited financial statements are audit fee and audit committee independence.x, 61 page

Major in Financial ManagementUnderstanding how customers perceive risk and trust when conducting online transactions is crucial to the success of digital insurance strategy. Researchers in this study are attempting to bridge the gap in the insurance industry by assessing consumer trust in the insurance industry's digitalization adaptation. The goal of this study is to increase the level of trust among insurance customers in purely online transactions in Davao City. The descriptive approach was used in this study; a questionnaire was adapted from previous studies and distributed to customers of life and non-life insurance products who tend to transact online. Findings have summarized the statistical evidence of no significant difference when the level of customer trust in online insurance transactions is analyzed in terms of sex and age, educational attainment, and employment status, following the descriptive-comparative study design principle. Because of these concerns, the researchers urge that future researchers expand this new body of information by including more respondents, experimenting with alternative approaches, and using statistical treatments to better investigate this field of interest

The researchers used an adapted questionnaire that experts validated. The researchers surveyed to know if there were significant differences in the level of Consumers’ Brand Preference on Motorcycle among Habal-habal Drivers when grouped according to respondents' profiles. The data were collected and treated statistically using Mean, Frequency, and ANOVA to give significant results. Results showed the Factors Influencing Buying Decision got the highest overall mean of 4.47. Next is the Decision Process, with an overall mean of 4.45, and the third and last is the area of Information input that got the lowest overall mean of 4.29. This means that the drivers preferred and were satisfied with the motorcycle brand. The researchers concluded that many different factors could influence purchasing decisions. Some of these factors are specific to the buying situation: what exactly people are buying and for what occasion. Other factors are specific to each person: an individual's background, preferences, personality, motivations, and economic status. The researchers highly recommended to the motorcycle dealers to offer some high quality but inexpensive brands of motorcycles to their consumers that they may use as a personal service and public transport like tricycle and habal - habal especially, in the suburban areas all over the Philippines, they should consider having a partnership with the motorcycle giant producers like Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha who were producing economically, environmentally and price-friendly models intended for the developing countries as their market like the Philippines
Lived experiences of financial difficulties of college students
No full textThis study aims to know the lived experiences of financial difficulties among college students of the UM Panabo College, particularly fourth-year college students. The participants were in two groups: seven for in depth interviews (IDI) and seven for focus-grouped discussion (FGD), regardless of age and gender. This study used the phenomenological research approach to acquire significant insights into how college students perceived their experiences of having financial difficulty. Further, the study results show that students experienced actual economic challenges. The direct cost of education, financial problems with living expenses, and financial challenges render them helpless. Hence, college students managed to study amidst financial difficulty by using financial aid from the government, making wise financial decisions, and scouting for financial help. Further, the insights generated from the results are that college students are engaging in recreational activities, motivated to finish college and possess tenacity amidst financial difficulties. These findings may help the government, teachers, students, parents, and future researchers as a basis to provide solutions and recommendations on how to mitigate the financial difficulties experienced by college students as future leaders of our country

The participants were in two groups: seven for in-depth interviews (IDI) and seven for focus-grouped discussion (FGD), selected randomly. The phenomenological research approach was employed in this study to get important insights into how tricycle drivers perceived how they felt about their financial struggles. The study's findings also demonstrate that tricycle drivers faced financial difficulties. The direct cost of financial problems with living expenses, and financial difficulties leave them helpless. Further conclusions drawn from the findings are that tricycle drivers are driven to work more for their families and have resilience in the face of adversity. These results may be used by the government, educators, students, parents, and future researchers as a foundation for offering suggestions and solutions for easing the financial hardships faced by tricycle drivers
Determinants of employees discrimination in the lens of BPO industry in Davao City

This descriptive-quantitative research aimed to know how discrimination affects them mentally, physically, and even psychologically positively or negatively, which will serve as a tool in uplifting people's minds regarding discrimination. Samples of one hundred (100) BPO employees were surveyed using the e-platform. The research instrument used was the adapted questionnaire. Results showed that discrimination based on wage rate and gender identity significantly differed when respondents were grouped according to their sex. Furthermore, the study also revealed that there was no significant difference in task segregation, wage rate, gender identity, and racial diversity when respondents were grouped according to their number of months in service, regardless of how long they have been in the BPO industry, they were all equal in terms of the indicators presented in this study
