Man not used to be : parenting challenges
No full textIn Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Social WorkGay fathers are the same as heterosexual fathers in terms of their emotional and parental relationship with their children. However, gay fathers often face negative stereotypes based on their sexual orientation and disparaging beliefs about their parenting capabilities, which can create parental stresses that affect their lives. Thus, this phenomenological study aims to discover the experiences and coping of gay fathers as they respond to their family needs while living in a world where heterosexual parenting is a norm. The study was composed of 9 gay fathers as participants gathered using purposive sampling. The study's findings show that gay fathers’ parenting was challenged by discrimination, child bullying, dealing with sickness in the family, overcoming financial issues, and their problems within. Despite this, gay fathers cop with the challenges by having a source of income, possessing a positive mentality, and tapping support systems. With that, the study provided an understanding of gay fathers' capability when establishing a family, parenting difficulties, and the need for truth in the family. Based on the result, social workers will learn the difficulties, experiences, and plight of gay fathers in rearing their children. Social Workers may support gay fathers in pursuing their parental duties and responsibilities by initiating significant steps or measures that ensure the security of gay fathers and their children in society, especially in bullying and discrimination
Redevelopment of the Toril Public Market : an application of building performance and user satisfaction correlation

Throughout the years, it has grown into more complex and integrated concepts, the only downfall being how it's associated with contestation and unsanitary practices mostly because of its unresolved issues, particularly to its nature and design, these public spaces are often crammed and with the lack of proper sanitation becomes an unpleasant experience for most people. The study is set to revitalize traditional markets by determining their lapses through the correlation between Building Performance and User Satisfaction. The study has three objectives: determining the User Satisfaction Level of the Toril Public Market, the Building Performance based on the Post Occupancy Evaluation parameters, and the correlation between Building Performance and User satisfaction level. The study was held on the premises of the Toril Public Market, and a sample population was drawn, resulting in n=272 respondents for the User Satisfaction Survey. The Building Performance on the other hand, a local Architect in the area was invited to perform the Building Performance survey of the Toril Public Market. Results showed that the Building performance of the public market falls under the category of "Medium" while the User Satisfaction score falls under "Poor"; the correlation between Building Performance and User Satisfaction was revealed to be insignificant as the results showed no correlation between the two variables

Vertical Housing is considered the most practical option as the world's population continuously escalates at an alarming rate, the land becomes increasingly limited, and housing demand becomes a huge concern. This research explores the perceptions and preferences of Young Adults living in Davao City. The purpose of the study is to learn about
young adults' perceptions and preferences and the factors that influence them when it comes to home buying. This study aims to gain strategies that will lead the research to design a futuristic vertical housing community as a long-term solution to the current problem. In order to respond to the research question, the thesis applied a quantitative approach and used descriptive and inferential analysis to analyze the data. A total of 385 young adults ages 18-30 years old reside in Davao City. The result shows that young adults are particularly concerned about the housing units' access to public transport and property orientation. They value unpopulated environments in their living conditions and food and grocery stores. The study also found that location and accessibility, followed by property and building attributes, are the most critical factors in determining a young adult's preference. As a result, the perceptions and importance of this study will contribute to designing a vertical housing, community and a better understanding of homebuyer purchase decision making
Facebook in the lens of online sellers: a phenomenology
No full textIn Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Bachelor of Science in AccountancyThis phenomenological research focused on online sellers' experiences and opinions in using Facebook to sell their merchandise and services to the consumers. We have gathered 14 participants, of which these participants follow some criteria. We have divided our participants into two groups, nine (9) for an in-depth interview and five (5) for focus group discussion. The researchers followed data triangulation by gathering data through in-depth interviews, focus group discussion, and the researcher as the third informant. The results revealed that Facebook helps online sellers in their business operation by being an effective advertising agent, meeting trusted buyers and suppliers, increasing sales, and less hassle to operate.
Furthermore, the strategies employed by online sellers in utilizing Facebook for business operation are the following: able to use the Facebook features such as the My Day feature, giving freebies and warranties, and showing reviews and feedback from customers. Moreover, online sellers shared their insights in using Facebook for business operations and stated that it is much easier and faster to do transactions. It helps build awareness and the safest way to conduct transactions. These findings provided the foundation for the online sellers in utilizing Facebook for their businesses operations.xi, 88 page

Moreover, to determine the significant relationship between the level of Working Environment and Employees Performance of Fast-Food Chains in Tagum City and to determine the domains in Working Environment that significantly influence Employee’s Performance. The total number of respondents involved in the online survey were 132 employees of Fast-food Chains in Tagum City. This research uses a quantitative, non-experimental research design using a correlation technique. Mean, Pearson (r) and multiple regression analysis was used as statistical tools for the data analysis. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between Working Environment and Employees Performance. Determinants of employees discrimination in the lens of BPO industry in Davao City

This descriptive quantitative research aimed to know how discrimination affects them mentally, physically, and even psychologically positively or negatively, which will serve as a tool in uplifting people's minds regarding discrimination. Samples of one hundred (100) BPO employees were surveyed using the e-platform. The research instrument used was the adapted questionnaire. Results showed that discrimination based on wage rate and gender identity significantly differed when respondents were grouped according to their sex. Furthermore, the study also revealed that there was no significant difference in task segregation, wage rate, gender identity, and racial diversity when respondents were grouped according to their number of months in service, regardless of how long they have been in the BPO industry, they were all equal in terms of the indicators presented in this study

The study was conducted at UM Tagum College. The study used non-experimental and descriptive correlation as an approach in this type of research. This study adopted stratified random sampling in choosing 200 students from the Department of Education, BPE-SPE of UM Tagum College. The results on the level of physical exercises revealed the frequent involvement of students in terms of agility, flexibility, power, strength, and cardiovascular capacity. The result also showed level in learning outcome in terms of grade (of the students.) Reality of the press in Philippine online social media : understanding clickbait and its features
No full textIn Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Arts in English LanguageThis study looked into clickbait features among twenty-five headlines found in Philippine online news media outlets, found explicitly on Facebook. Through Chakraborty et al.‟s method of identifying clickbait, we looked at the headlines through sentence structure, word patterns, and clickbait language used. The collected data were carefully inspected and deliberated through media discourse analysis. The study
revealed that compound and complex sentences are the dominant structures found in
the gathered headlines. Moreover, it showed that unusual punctuation patterns, cardinal numbers, and contracted words are frequently used in terms of word patterns. In terms of clickbait language, the usual usage of hyperbolic terms, common clickbait phrases, and determiners are commonly found in the headlines. Altogether, the study‟s result unveiled that the headlines embodying the features are categorized as clickbait headlines following Chakraborty‟s method of classifying clickbait
Cyberbullying in the social networking sites: a multiple case study

SNS, on the other hand, can be used for harassment and abuse, which is commonly referred to as cyberbullying. The current study looked into the victims' perceptions of cyberbullying, as well as the types of cyberbullying events that they have experienced on social media sites and the consequences of these events. In addition, three cases are highlighted for cross-sectional examination. Virtual interviews were conducted with three people, each with a different case. Participants either did not reference the basic criteria for the definition of cyberbullying given in earlier study, or they were more complex than expected, according to the findings. The amount to which the experience had an impact on the victim was the most frequently mentioned criterion, which is not a current definitional criterion. It was also discovered that the majority of victims reported having a combination of emotional, social, and behavioral effects as a result of each cyberbullying incident. These findings will enable the creation of intervention strategies based on the most common effect areas, as well as the measurement of cyberbullying from the perspective of victims.302.343ix, 72 page
