    Extent of application of green hotel standards among selected hotels in Davao City

    An Institutional Research Presented to the Research and Publication Center University of MindanaoThe study was conducted to look into the application of green hotel standards in selected hotels in Davao City. Descriptive survey method was used for the study. An adapted survey questionnaire was utilized as the research instrument. The respondents were 40 managers or supervisors from the housekeeping, front office, food and beverage, human resource and administration departments. The descriptive survey method was used in the study. Findings show that most of the hotels were active in green team organizations, implemented management system in performance of employees, function rooms, guest rooms. Public areas of the hotels were energy efficient in lighting and most of the meeting rooms and public bathrooms had occupancy sensors and timers. The hotels’ front office and conference rooms practiced recycling programs. To maintain air and water quality, most of the hotels used cleaners that were environmentally responsible and air fresheners with low volatile organic compound materials. Majority of the respondents suggested to guests the reuse of linens like towels and sheets. Office papers used in most hotels were made from paper products bleached without chlorine and hotels purchased products low in toxicity and selected service providers who used renewable energy.IR 647.94 C33e 2011vii, 70 leaves ; 31 cm

    In Partial Fulfilment of the Requirements for the Degree Master of Arts in Education Major in Educational ManagementThe purpose of the study was to determine the level morale of public elementary school teachers in Malabog District and its difference when analyzed by moderator variables, namely: age, gender, civil status, length of service and position. Morale indicators were school leadership, workload, pay or salary, students' behavior and professional development. The study made use of descriptive-comparative research design which examined carefully the similarities and differences among several variables. It was established in the study that the level of morale of public elementary school teachers in all indicators are generally high and that there was no significant difference between the morale of public elementary school teachers when analyzed by moderator variables. The results of this study will become a springboard in conceptualizing revitalization of professional life to enhance teachers' morale. It was suggested that DepED officials should conduct strategic planning through workshops and conferences on capacitating the school heads to establish a learning environment where teachers' morale can continually be developed. Likewise, the school heads may also explore ideas and techniques on how they can serve as instruments to level up the teachers' morale.     Change process management of school heads : basis for a training program for school administrators

It utilized a descriptive method involving 136 teachers as the respondents. Using the t-test, it was found out that there was a significant difference on the change process management of school heads in terms of gender. It was also found out that there was no significant on the change process management of school heads when analyzed in terms of length of service. It is recommended that Department of Education officials may develop plans and conduct trainings that will enhance the change process management of school heads. School heads may undertake programs in enhancing their skills in change process management, so as to make meaningful and valuable cause to change.
