An evaluation of tourist delight on services and safety practices of Paul Beach Resort
In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Tourism ManagementAs tourism evolves, tourist decisions depend on mental images and perceptions of destinations, making destination image vital. This study, anchored in the Theory of Planned Behavior and Safety System Theory, explores the relationship between tourist delight and safety practices at Paul Beach Resort on Samal Island. The study investigates factors such as social and environmental aspects affecting satisfaction. Additionally, specific objectives involve evaluating tourist delight, examining customer satisfaction with services and safety practices, and establishing the correlation between tourist delight and safety practices. Moreover, the study utilizes a quantitative approach, a modified validated research questionnaire was used, with statistical tools like Frequency Count, Mean, Pearson r, and for data analysis. Findings indicate high satisfaction levels among diverse respondents, with strong positive correlations between tourist delight and safety practices. This study's significance lies in its potential benefits for beach resort owners, staff, and the local government of Samal Island, contributing to economic growth and improved service quality. Recommendations encompass infrastructure investments, eco-friendly initiatives, continuous safety improvement, staff training, and leveraging positive correlations in marketing efforts, emphasizing the resort's commitment to both customer satisfaction and safety. Regular guest surveys are proposed for ongoing adaptation to evolving preferences, ensuring Paul Beach Resort maintains its positive image and continues to attract tourists
A language of love during the pandemic from the lens of young adult
This research paper aims to explore the experiences of young adults in maintaining and nurturing romantic relationships during the COVID-19 pandemic. This qualitative study was conducted using the phenomenology method. The ten participants were purposefully selected to participate in an in-depth face to face interview. The researchers obtained informed consent to assure the participants of their rights and privacy. The interview was audio recorded, the data were collected and transcribed verbatim, and the responses that were compiled were thematically analyzed. The study reveals the challenges faced by young adults in communicating their love, dealing with overthinking, and managing mishandled emotions. Additionally, the research explores the coping mechanisms employed by young adults to navigate these difficulties, including open communication, being considerate and expressive, and fostering positive traits. This study provides valuable insights into the experiences of young adults navigating romantic relationships during the pandemic, and the findings can contribute to the development of support system and strategies to enhance relationship well-being during times of adversity
SPARK: a smart parking system with web-based app for malls using computer vision

This study aimed to develop a smart parking system with a web-based application for malls using computer vision technology. The proposed system utilizes cameras and image processing algorithms to detect and track the availability of parking spaces. A web-based application was also developed to provide real-time information on the availability of parking spaces to mall visitors. The system was tested and evaluated in a mall setting, and the results showed that it was able to accurately detect and track the availability of parking spaces. The web-based application was also user-friendly and provided useful information to mall visitors. The proposed system was able to reduce the time spent searching for parking spaces and improve the overall parking experience for mall visitors. This study demonstrates the potential of computer vision technology in solving the parking problem in malls and highlights the benefits of a smart parking system with a web-based application. The results of this study can be used as a basis for future research on the development of smart parking systems for other types of parking areas.viii, 49 page
Mobile wallet adoption: a perceptual study of students in UM Peñaplata college
This research study, Mobile Wallet Adoption: A Perceptual Study of Students at UM Peñaplata College, assessed students' perception of mobile wallet adoption. The study used a descriptive-comparative research design, and the statistical tools were frequency, percentage, mean, t-test and analysis of variance. Survey questionnaires were used and distributed to 202 BSBA Major in Financial Management students of UM Peñaplata College. The result showed that the students' perceived level of mobile wallet adoption had a high mean score of 4.08, which meant that the respondents' adoption of mobile wallets was highly evident. In addition, the perceived usefulness of mobile wallets greatly influences students' adoption. Furthermore, it was revealed that there is no significant difference in the perception level of mobile wallet adoption when grouped in terms of the respondents' ages. Likewise, the males and the females perceived and adopted mobile wallets similarly. Hence, there was no significant difference in the perception level of mobile wallet adoption when grouped in terms of sex
Application of nonwoven polypropylene surgical mask as a composition of hybrid geotextile
In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringThe increased waste of surgical masks significantly impacts the environment, especially with the surging cases of COVID-19. This paper utilized the nonwoven polypropylene strips in a surgical mask to modify banana fibers as a hybrid composite geotextile. Comparative performance was examined to assess the physical, mechanical, and hydraulic properties for the application of separation of subgrade and subbase layers. Hybrid geotextile was compared to mask geotextile, banana geotextile, and commercially made geotextile. The hybrid geotextile having the highest average mass per unit area of 1840 g/m2 , results in higher tensile strength for both machine direction (82 kN/m2) and cross-machine direction (79 kN/m2), which was proven to produce better performance. Also, the hybrid geotextile consistently demonstrated the highest tensile strengths between groups, having values of 73 kN/m2, 69 kN/m2, and 63 kN/m2 for 6, 12, and 18 days, respectively, after being immersed in soil. Among the groups of geotextiles, hybrid material (10.54%,16.47%, and 23.79%) has the least percentage of tensile strength loss after exposure. It was expected since the polypropylene strips reinforced the decomposition progress of banana fiber. Moreover, its 0.55 mm pore opening size shows promising results since the blending twist of banana and Polypropylene as warp and weft threads resulted in alternate arrangements producing a good amount of cover. The trade-off analysis also proved that given the parameters, hybrid geotextile ranked as the lowest, scoring 1.6, which implied efficiency as a separator between subgrade and subbase layers. Thus, the hybrid geotextile could best withstand the expansion force by laboratory testing even after weather and field exposure
Morphological awareness and reading comprehension of senior high school students
This study aimed to determine the level of morphological awareness and reading comprehension of senior high school students and the significant relationship between the two variables. This quantitative study used a descriptive-correlational survey research design to gather information and find the most factor that affects the senior high school students reading comprehension. This study was conducted among the Grade 12 ABM, STEM, and HUMMS students of Nieves Villarica National High School through stratified sampling with 197 respondents. In collecting the data, the researchers used multiple-question tests adapted from the study of Alsaeedi (2017) and the book of Castigador (2012). The result showed that the student’s morphological awareness is low, while the reading comprehension is moderate. This study also revealed a significant relationship between the students’ awareness of morphology and reading comprehension; however, there is a weak positive relationship. It was also found that the morphological structure was the top predictor of reading comprehension. Thus, this study concluded that the students’ morphological awareness is correlated with reading comprehension, and the best predictor of reading comprehension is the morphological structure awareness of the students. It was also recommended that future researchers be encouraged to conduct this kind of research in a new location and setting to expand this kind of study
Impact of moonlighting practices on organizational commitment of employees in Davao City
In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Human Resource ManagementWith moonlighting cases increasing significantly in recent days, employees’ organizational commitment is tested. Moonlighting is when employees undertake a secondary job-holding in addition to their primary job. The aim was to know the relationship between moonlighting practices and the organizational commitment of moonlighters. In this article, the authors have examined the demographic profile of respondents, their motives for moonlighting practices, and the level of their organizational commitment. The researchers collected data from 150 respondents who practice moonlighting in Davao City through purposive sampling. The questionnaire used for the survey was adapted and modified. Our findings contribute to a better understanding of moonlighting practices. The results revealed that moonlighting is used by employees to address financial issues [Mean=4.22; SD=0.55], such as receiving an adequate salary, fulfilling personal needs, increasing their standard of living, attending to financial commitments, and simply having more money. Employees are also found to be emotionally attached to their organizations [Mean=2.40; SD=0.40]. Statistics indicate no significant relationship between moonlighting practices and organizational commitment among moonlighters in Davao City. The study has implications for human resources management, which give insights to management and the government to manage the organizational commitment of moonlighting employees

In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in CriminologyThis paper examines the public concern on environmental injustices and the effects of solid waste disposal and air pollution on ecological preservation in selected Barangay of Davao City. A simple random sampling method was used to distribute the questionnaire to the respondents, and the researchers also surveyed an intended number of respondents. There are four hundred (400) respondents to this study, and the respondents are from Barangay Buhangin, Matina Aplaya, and Tugbok, of Davao City. This study revealed that residents in general have good concerns in a healthy and clean environment. Citizens should learn and practice how to maintain solid waste management to lessen air pollution and achieve a healthy environment. One method of managing solid waste is called "segregation of source," which entails sorting trash at the point of generation. This study aims to have an idea of how three selected barangays are concerned about their environment and to assess the level of environmental injustices in Davao City. This issue has significant environmental and health impacts on communities, as improperly disposed waste can contaminate air, water, and soil, leading to diseases, pollution, and other environmental problems

Major in Marketing ManagementThe purpose of the study is to determine the level of Customer Loyalty in Adidas’ Image level of Brand Attributes according to Customer Satisfaction, Customer Trust, and Perceived Quality (Customer Loyalty) and Age, Sex, and Income (Profile). The researchers used descriptive research methods and used stratified random sampling in conducting the study by distributing questionnaires about collecting and gathering data for the study. The data were collected and treated statistically using Mean, Kruskal Wallis Test, and Mann Whitney U. The total respondents of the survey are hundred senior citizens. In terms of Customer Loyalty, a perceived quality has the highest mean which means that perceived quality is distinct on the base of customer acknowledgment. Perceived quality is capable of showing significant diversity of a product becomes a discriminatory brand in the minds of customers. The lowest mean is customer satisfaction, which means that Customer satisfaction is seen to be a state of mind that customers have about a company when their expectations have been met or exceeded over the lifetime of the product or service. This is also true with customer trust, which determines how buyers behave during the purchasing process. It arises as a result of the overall customer experience with the product and the company, and its tangible and intangible attributes
Development of energy harvesting bicycle tire using flexible triboelectric nanogenerators for bicycle wheel safety light
In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Bachelor of Science in Electrical EngineeringThere is a growing demand for renewable energy sources; triboelectric nanogenerators are gaining popularity as an alternative power source for small electronics and LEDs. This study aims to develop a bicycle safety wheel light using a triboelectric nanogenerator. Develop a flexible triboelectric nanogenerator that can generate enough power for LED lights. The TENG is installed inside a 26 x 2.35-inch mountain bike and tested in different riding conditions. Adjusting tire pressure induces air separation and allows for direct contact between the dielectric materials, producing charges. Each TENG (Triboelectric Nanogenerator) will be linked to distinct sets of LEDs, which are connected to a bridge rectifier that converts the alternating current (AC) power into direct current (DC). The TENG could light up multiple LEDs when dropped in a back-and-forth motion. This study evaluates whether the pressure applied and speed are related to the TENG's maximum voltage and power output. The result shows a high correlation between the TENG's speed, maximum power, and voltage output in no-load and load conditions. At the same time, there is a strong correlation between the pressure applied to the tire and maximum power output when connected to a one megaohm load. When two Teng are installed on the tire, the Device can charge a 22-microfarad capacitor. It can generate an average of 25.61 microjoules of stored energy and energize the capacitor up to 1.517 V when ridden for 30 minutes
