Marketing mix and consumer behavior of alcoholic beverages during the COVID-19 pandemic

Major in Marketing ManagementThe study intended to determine the influence of the marketing mix on consumer behavior of alcoholic beverages in Davao City during the covid-19 pandemic. In collecting the data, three hundred respondents were gathered using a convenience sampling technique, and the survey questionnaire was adapted and modified. Furthermore, a quantitative approach was employed, and the statistical treatment used was Spearman Rho. The study showed that the marketing mix elements were positively associated with the components of consumer behavior. Thus, the null hypothesis was rejected in this study. Therefore, the findings of this study indicated that the use of a marketing mix drove a positive impact on consumer buying behavior. Also, the results of this study encouraged the alcoholic industry to consider the marketing mix as valuable and key to gaining a competitive advantage. Companies would create more value for consumers

This research identifies spatial quality determinants in commercial buildings as determined by users’ satisfaction levels. This study aims to study how people perceive, feel, and evaluate the quality of retail spaces and how it impacts their work performance. Identifying and assessing spatial quality requires two different approaches. One is the study of the quality of space or the analysis of the user's satisfaction level to assess spatial quality; the other is the study of the area's physical characteristics. Both require the perception of the user and how the spaces satisfy them. This study aims to create a holistic approach and a sustainable and inclusive community. The building should serve its purpose
Assessing employee engagement among gen z workers in Davao City
In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Human Resource ManagementThe purpose of this research is to assess employee engagement among Gen Z workers. The researchers collected data from 100 respondents, primarily individuals aged 18 to 27 with employment experience in Davao City through simple random sampling. The questionnaire utilized in this research underwent adaptation and modification. The research follows a quantitative descriptive design, employing the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test, to produce accurate outcomes. According to descriptive statistics, respondents were most invested in physical involvement, followed by cognitive and emotional engagement. Statistics indicate monthly salary having less than 0.05 significant value among other indicators implying that Gen Z employees are influenced by their monthly salary, rendering to reject the hypothesis. However, there was no significant difference among Gen Z employees when analyzed according to their age, sex, work experience, educational level, marital status, and work designation level, therefore, it failed to reject the hypothesis. The researchers have concluded that there is a significant difference between salary and employee engagement and emphasize the importance of addressing physical, cognitive, and emotional aspects. The researchers recommend that organizations should create dynamic work environments that foster active participation, collaboration, and innovation and also prioritize the impact of their monthly salary to boost employee engagement
Upcycling of distillery waste of fermented molasses into a microfertilizer
In Partial Fulfilment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Chemical EngineeringEthanol distillation generates large amounts of undesired wastewater called Distillery Spent Wash. To eliminate undesirable wastewater, it undergoes various procedures such as the stabilization treatment, micro fertilizer synthesis, and drying process to produce quality plant nutrition products. Micro fertilizers with and without ammonia with a particle size ranging from 1– 2.6 μm and a central diameter range to 1–1.753 μm are the product's results. The FTIR analysis of micro fertilizers with ammonia and without ammonia includes valence oscillations of the O-H and C-H bond with a hydroxyl (OH) group. Carbon atom (C), C=C, or oxygen C-O atoms. EDX analysis of micro fertilizer with ammonia comprised of N, O, Al, Si, K, and Ca micronutrient elements. In contrast, the sample of micro fertilizer without ammonia contained micronutrient elements of O, Mg, Al, Si, Mo, K, and Ca. Both fertilizers were applied to various plants (bok choy and radish). As a result, bok choy plants' height had an average value of 10.53 inches ± 3.044 in the 6% concentration, which has the presence of ammonia and has average leaf length and width of 5.533 inches ± 0.513 and 5.8 inches ± 0.2. The radish plants' height had an average value of 13.333 inches ± 0.577 in the uncontrolled plants, and the average leaf length and width of 5.933 inches ± 0.115 and 1.768 inches ± 0.252
Use of human hair fiber as a reinforcement in a cement fiberboard
In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringHuman hair is a waste that needs to be disposed of properly since this waste has an unlimited supply and will take time to decompose. Proper utilization and repurposing of this waste will make the environment cleaner by developing cement fiberboard products. Reinforcing the cement will be a step up since hair fiber is an excellent addition to the cement's characteristics due to the hair's high tensile strength. This research aims to study the utilization of human hair fiber as a reinforcement in cement fiberboard and specifically to evaluate its effect, particularly on bulk density, water absorption, flexural strength, compressive strength, and fireproof capability, by following the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) guidelines. All these tests will be performed to observe the effectiveness of using human hair fiber in a cement fiberboard. Based on the results, adding a percentage of human hair fibers to a cement fiber board will improve some of the mechanical properties of the board, especially the flexural strength, proving that hair fibers have excellent tensile strength. The addition of human hair fibers increased the strength of the boards compared to controlled mixed samples, which proved that these fibers could be used as a viable alternative natural fiber for cement fiberboard and will also reduce human hair waste
Mental accounts and mental budgeting among virtual assistants in Davao City

Major in Financial ManagementThis study investigates the relationship between mental accounts and mental budgeting among virtual assistants in Davao City. Employing a quantitative, non-experimental research design, the study utilized a correlational approach to examine the interplay between these financial management practices. The research involved one hundred (100) virtual assistant employees from both global and national companies, utilizing a random sampling method for participant selection. The research instrument, adapted from previous studies, measured the levels of mental accounts and mental budgeting through adopted questionnaire. The study results indicated varying degrees of emphasis placed on different aspects of mental accounts and mental budgeting among respondents. Notably, participants showed moderate to high importance in managing current income, current assets, and future income. Statistical analyses established significant associations between the two variable, highlighting the impact of psychological factors on financial decision-making. Moreover, escalate commitment to investments in mental accounts correlated positively with various financial aspects in budgeting. Worry, another aspect of mental accounts, was positively associated with considering current and future income in mental budgeting. The study's recommendations emphasize the need for tailored financial education programs, skill development opportunities, and customized financial products to enhance the financial well-being of virtual assistants

foreign tourist arrivals reported in 2019 globally, indicating the rapidly growing
hospitality trade. Resort hotels are one of the fastest-growing segments of tourism
attractions and rapidly growing in number, diversity, and popularity since the economic
boom of the 1960s. Service through a good environment directly impacts individuals,
which made several researchers note a relationship between physical environment and
satisfaction. Upland resorts such as Eden Garden Resort, Malagos Bamboo Sanctuary,
Ecological Garden Resort, and Lantaw Bukid are among the popular resorts in Davao
City, which are in a highly competitive sector owing to new resorts opening in various
areas within and outside of town. The study is Quantitative research and Evidence based research using CASBEE or Comprehensive Assessment System for Built
Environment Efficiency to assess the environment of resort hotels. The study showed
a relationship between the physical environment and customer satisfaction with
environmental dimensions that affect the perceived quality, affecting the satisfaction
and behavior of users, assisting operators and professionals in the design and
construction field in the tourism industry. P-value is <0.05.

Level of awareness and practices on solid waste management of fast-food companies in Davao City

Major in Human Resource ManagementManaging solid waste is one of the challenges that many countries face. Poor solid waste management will lead to numerous problems with health, the ecosystem, and socioeconomics. Fast-food companies’ food/solid waste is one of the most critical issues facing food service establishments. The study aims to determine the level of awareness and practices on solid waste management of fast-food companies in Davao City. The study used a descriptive correlation design and used an adapted questionnaire for the fast-food employees as respondents chosen using a purposive sampling technique. The results were treated statistically using mean, standard deviation, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, and linear regression. Furthermore, the study revealed a very high level of solid waste management awareness and practices. Thus, solid waste management awareness significantly affects the solid waste management practices of fast-food companies in Davao City. Fast-food management must provide enhanced solid waste management awareness and efficiently conduct best practices for solid waste management. The government may enhance the economic development of the country by formalizing waste segregation, disposal, reducing, reusing, and recycling
Perceived language learning strategies and students’ motivation of 2nd-year BSED-English at UM Peñaplata College
The study entitled Perceived Language Learning Strategies and Students’ Motivation of 2nd year BSED-English Students at UM Peñaplata College aims to seek the significant relationship between Perceived Language Learning Strategies and Students’ Motivation of 2nd year BSED-English Students at UM Peñaplata College. A descriptive-correlational survey research design was used in the study. The essential data were gathered from a sample size of 49 respondents using the validated modified demographic questionnaire. Data were analyzed and interpreted using mean and Pearson product moment-correlation coefficient (Pearson-r) as statistical tools. According to the findings, the level of perceived language learning strategies of 2nd year BSED-English students is high and usually manifested. The result indicated that the perceived language learning strategies were insignificantly related to students’ motivation. Hence, based on these results, it is recommended that teachers and students might coordinate to establish and engage in classroom and school activities that will help maintain or improve their language learning strategies and teaching strategies to build self-motivated involvement
Okra (abelmoschus esculentus) extract natural polymer to increase compressive strength of cement mortar
In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringMortars are used often in the construction sector due to their excellent performance in concrete, masonry, and plastering, yet, they can be fragile and brittle, leading to frequent cracking, especially when exposed to high temperatures. Previous studies have investigated plant-based natural polymer admixtures as an environmentally acceptable alternative to petroleum-based ones. Okra Extract natural polymer (OENP), which has a high viscosity and mucoadhesive properties, was a possible source of natural polymer. Studying how OENP affects cement mortar’s ability to withstand high temperatures ranging from 100°C to 250°C was the overall goal of this investigation. The specific objective was to identify any interactions between OENP and Temperatures. Also, find a significant difference in the compressive strength of specimens with and without OENP. The process required the fabrication of several samples of cement mortars with ratios (1:10, 1:20, and 1:40) of OENP as retarding additive. The researchers measured the compressive strengths of specimens after exposure at temperatures 100°C, 150°C, 200°C, and 250°C. The findings demonstrated that using OENP as retarding admixture increased the density and compressive strength of cement mortar subjected to temperatures. The finding suggested that the ideal ratio of OENP was 1:20. The result showed that incorporating OENP in cement mortar exposed to temperature, specifically 1:20 OENP, can be used as an excellent environmentally friendly additive.
