In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing ManagementDeceptive advertisements start when a firm or company supports its product or services with the help of misleading, untrue, or confusing statements. In today's competitive business environment, deceptive advertisements influence purchase decisions among customers. This study aims to understand the influence of deceptive advertisements on consumers’ brand trust, especially in the dietary supplement sector. The participants of this study were a hundred residents of Davao City who were selected using purposive sampling. The questionnaire used in the study was adapted and modified. A descriptive method was utilized to distribute questionnaires and collect and gather the data for this study. The statistical tools employed in treating the problem were mean and Chi-Square. It has been revealed in the study that fake claims have the highest mean among other indicators, which implies that consumers most likely believe that a fake claim is more compelling and has persuaded them to acquire dietary products and that fake claims have significantly impacted the number of deceptive advertisements and consumer brand trust. Spearman's rank correlation has been used to examine the impact of misleading advertising on customers' brand trust, which showed that the three indicators of deceptive advertisements, namely fake claims, deceptive prices, and puffery, have an enormous effect on customer trust in the brand. Based on the result, researchers recommended that businesses improve their products, be open to more ideas that will not compromise consumers and offer great value in terms of choice

In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringFlooding has been a national concern in the Philippines, with high chances to occur during typhoons and may happen in the future due to rapid urban development. Flood risk reduction strategies can be enhanced by a diversion channel, increasing the waterway's capacity, or a closed diversion canal. The assessment of Maa Creek along Purok Kapundok: the basis for diversion or design improvement is a critical study that assesses the current state of the creek and the measures that can be taken to mitigate or reduce the flood discharge, even so, improve the functionality of the vicinity. The study gathered essential data, including the creek's geometry and dimensions, water flow data, and more. Following, HEC-RAS is utilized to simulate and compare the existing channel and the proposed diversion channel. The results of HEC-RAS steady flow modeling found that a diversion shortcut will further increase the water flow, thus, reducing the water elevation. Also, incorporating culverts in the diversion will add to the area's functionality. Simulating the flow that is critical for the creek, gathered hydrological data from the year 2018 is used for the unsteady flow. Here, it is found that water surface elevation reaches up to 3.12 meters high. In addition, results from sediment analysis of the proposed diversion show that invert siltation will increase by 0.95 meters in 1 year. In conclusion, a diversion shortcut with culverts reduces water surface elevation because of improved water discharge. Nevertheless, the design capacity is enough, and the future capacity may be reduced due to the siltation. It is essential to conduct regular monitoring and assessment of sediment build-up to sustain the correct water depth and prevent flooding

In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Bachelor of Science in Electrical EngineeringDifferent types of renewable energy are used today. Some are used daily, such as solar, hydro, and wind. However, things such as Sound Waves, Tidal Waves, and many others are used sparingly, such as the others. Using those renewable types of energy that are not frequently used today can turn the world much better. To utilize sound, the researchers have created a way to produce electricity using sound from different sources. Using a Safety Device is perfect due to its availability on various roadways where noise is present. The researchers used 3D modeling to create an enclosure for their device along with the use of PCB design to use sound to power the LED for the Safety Device. The researchers tested their device to prove it successful, producing significant results per this study's objective. The device was able to be used while charging, and the percentage of the LED working is less than the number of the percentage of the device's charge per day. Therefore, they have created a Sound-Powered Safety Device equipped with a blinking LED Light
