An evaluation of travel reviews on decision-making of domestic tourists
In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Tourism ManagementThis study was aimed to determine how essential the travel reviews influenced domestic tourists' decisions when they travel to Davao City. The researchers used a modified survey questionnaire administered to millennials. The research instrument covers the independent variable which is travel review with indicators covering information quality, credibility, and trustworthiness while second variable is decision making. There were 384 respondents mostly domestic tourists who utilizes multiple online resources for travel reviews. This quantitative study used a correlational research design to identify correlations between the two variables.
The findings showed that when it comes to Davao city's information quality and trustworthiness the travel reviews was moderate. Moreover, it was low in information credibility. This further explains that there is a need to improve tourist experience in the city in order to achieve higher travel reviews that could influence a visit to the city.
Looking at the second variable the decision making was low. Thus, travel reviews have a limited influence on the travel decisions to the city. This explains that more often than not, travel reviews will help shape the decision making of the millennials to the city. As the result showed there is a need to pull up the travel reviews so as the decision could also be influenced.
In the correlation analysis, the study showed moderate correlations between travel reviews and decision making which implies that the travel reviews are moderately useful in making travel decision to the city. In the range of means, there is a scale higher than being moderate thus giving more space to improve the travel reviews so that travel to the city can also be improved.
When it comes to considering gender and work profile, it was the female group having a white collar jobs that usually utilizes travel reviews. This indicates that white-collar workers were more likely to rely on travel reviews when making decisions than their blue-collar workers. This implies that when it comes to sales & promotion, female group will be a good market
Food and nutrition literacy and academic performance of intermediate level students: a correlational study
The purpose of the study was to determine the food and nutrition literacy and academic performance of intermediate-level students. This study was conducted among intermediate-level students at Panggubatan Elementary School through a total population sampling with fifty-three respondents. Through a non-experimental quantitative descriptive-correlational research technique, an adopted survey questionnaire, Mean, Pearson-Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (Pearson-r) are the statistical tools were used. Results showed that the students' food and nutrition literacy is high while their academic performance is satisfactory. This study also revealed that there is no significant relationship between food and nutrition literacy and academic performance. This means that the level of knowledge and skills about food and nutrition does not have a measurable impact on the academic performance of the students. In other words. whether a student knows a lot or a little about food and nutrition does not significantly affect their grades or academic success. The researchers recommended that teachers continue educating students about food and nutritional concepts, as well as developing academic performance. In addition to that, future researchers may conduct longitudinal studies to track the impact of food and nutrition literacy over time
Disaster risk reduction measures and disaster preparedness of elementary schools in Babak District
The study determines the level of disaster risk reduction measures (DRRM) and disaster preparedness, as well as the significant relationship between the two variables in Cogon, San Antonio, and Toril elementary schools in Babak District. A descriptive-correlational research design was employed in this study. Data analysis involved the use of the weighted average mean and the Pearson Product-moment correlation coefficient. A total of forty-five school heads and teachers respondents were selected through total population sampling. The findings of the study revealed that the levels of disaster risk reduction measures (DRRM) and disaster preparedness in the selected schools are very high, suggesting successful integration and implementation of DRRM strategies. Additionally, significant relationship was found between the two variables, indicating that increased implementation of disaster risk reduction measures (DRRM) corresponds to higher levels of disaster preparedness in the schools. Consequently, incorporating DRRM into school systems improves the readiness of school heads and teachers for unexpected disasters. The school heads and teachers possess more knowledge and skills to handle disasters, as they are responsible for guiding and protecting students during such events
Faculty trust and collaborative leadership as predictor to teachers job stress
In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Master of Arts in Education Major in Educational ManagementThe main objective of this study was to examine the correlation between faculty trust and collaborative leadership in a teacher's job stress. The study utilized a quantitative research method involving 270 elementary teachers who answered the adapted survey questionnaire via Google form. Statistical tools such as correlation analysis were utilized to examine the relationships between the variables. Correlation coefficients ranging from -0.382* to -0.464* were obtained, with a p-value of 0.001, indicating a statistically significant negative correlation between faculty trust, collaborative leadership, and teacher job stress. This suggests that higher levels of faculty trust and collaborative leadership are associated with lower levels of teacher job stress. However, the test of the relationship between the significant influence of faculty trust and collaborative leadership towards teacher's job stress revealed that only collaborative leadership significantly influenced the teacher's job stress with a coefficient of 0.403* and a p-value of 0.001, therefore rejecting the null hypothesis. The teachers may maintain their lower level of job stress by embracing their skills and capabilities and continuously improving themselves professionally. This suggests that self-awareness and ongoing professional development play crucial roles in alleviating stress levels among educators.x, 60 page
