Influence of Tiktok towards delinquent behavior of students in the University of Mindanao

The surprising increase of TikTok users was due to its distinct way of entertainment. However, this platform hides numerous underlying legal concerns that alarmed several countries which resulted in TikTok platform to be banned in their countries and prohibit its citizens to use this. correlational approach and explored and interpreted TikTok usage and criminality concerns in the students of the University of Mindanao, Davao City. The researchers utilized simple random sampling to obtain the data from 400 respondents. The study found that TikTok usage and criminality concerns had a moderate direct relationship. The increase in TikTok usage may also lead to an increase in criminality concerns

The financial management behavior of non-business administration students of IGACOS
This study investigated the financial management behavior of non-business administration students in the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS). The researchers used a quantitative research design as the methodology for this study with 250 sampling size. The researchers employed analysis of variance (ANOVA) to assess overall differences in financial management levels, prompting further investigation into specific variations, also utilized to identify underlying factors contributing to financial management behaviors. The findings revealed that the overall financial management behavior of theses students was at a moderate level. Further analysis showed that in terms of gender, female students exhibited significantly better financial management behavior compared to male students. Additionally students from different academic programs also demonstrated notable differences in their financial management behavior. The overall financial management behavior of non-business administration students was at a moderate level, reflecting a lack of financial knowledge and skills in this group. Female students outperformed male students in financial management behavior, reflecting the role of gender in influencing financial decision-making. Students from different academic backgrounds exhibited variations in financial management behavior, indicating that even non-business courses can impact students' financial literacy. Financial education and support services for non-business administration students are particularly important to help this group improve their financial management capabilities and prepare for future financial security
The relationship of wages and benefits on employee's productivity of a beach resort in island Garden City of Samal
This study investigated the relationship of wages and benefits on employee productivity of a beach Resort in island Garden City of Samal to ascertain the extent to which wages and benefits were provided to the employees and the level of employee productivity. This research employs a quantitative descriptive-correlational research design. The statistical tools utilized in this investigation were the mean and Pearson r. Survey questionnaires were distributed to 90 personnel at Cavanico II Ma Re Beach Resort to obtain the data. The results revealed that employees' wages and benefits generated a high mean score, indicating satisfaction. Regardless of having very high mean score, employee productivity was evident. In addition, a significant correlation existed between wages and benefits and employee productivity. To make employees more productive, Cavanico II Ma Re Beach Resort must maintain its strategy over time so that employees are indeed productive in their work
Influence of leadership competencies and teachers' commitment to school culture
In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Master of Arts in Education Major in Educational ManagementThis study aimed to determine if leadership competencies and teachers’ commitment significantly influenced school culture in Tagum Central District Public Elementary School in Tagum City Division were the respondents of this research. The statistical tools used were Mean, Pearson-r, Regression Analysis, and quantitative non-experimental research utilizing correlation technique with regression analysis is the research design of this paper. Results reveal that the level of leadership competencies in terms of a positive disposition, cultivating a shared belonging, supporting social relationships, focus on vision, and enhancing trust offer/accept Feedback was very high. The level of teachers’ commitment yielded a descriptive equivalent of very high in terms of job satisfaction, stress, commitment, career longevity, and career plans reflected a descriptive equivalent of very high. On the other hand, reasons for wanting to leave an indicator reflect a descriptive equivalent of High. For the level of school culture, it yielded a very high result in terms of professional collaboration, affiliative collegiality, and self-determination. There was a positive significant relationship between leadership competencies and teachers’ commitment to school culture.xiii, 181 page
Financial management and profitability among food hawkers in night market in Panabo City
The study focuses on examining the financial management practices of food hawkers in Panabo City's night market and how these practices impact their profitability. Through structured interviews with 80 food hawker owners, the study found that these vendors were adept at managing their finances, with high scores in investment methods and liquidity management. Moreover, profitability measures also reflected strong performance. Statistical analysis revealed a significant correlation between financial management and increased profits. The result revealed that the level of financial management of food hawkers in night market in Panabo city in terms of Investment practice, liquidity was high with overallmean of 4.01. The level of profitability of food hawkers in night market in Panabo city in terms of Inventory holding period, account payable period was high with overall mean of 4.13. Furthermore, it was found out that there was no significant between how financial management were done and how profitable a business is. With a moderately positive association (0.504) and a highly significant p-value (0.000). The null hypothesis was rejected. In the words, better money handling leads to more money coming in
Financial literacy and loan repayment practices in the perspective of grains multi-purpose cooperative borrowers
The study determined the financial literacy and loan repayment practices of the 150 random borrowers from the Grain Multi-Purpose Cooperative using two adopted survey questionnaires. The researchers employed a quantitative descriptive method approach. Moreover, correlation analysis was used to assess the strength and direction of the relationship between financial literacy and loan repayment practices. Also, regression analysis was used to determine the degree of influence between the two variables. The results revealed that the borrowers' level of financial literacy is high which contributes to sound decision-making. Meanwhile, the study also found that the following indicators: loan characteristics, credit risk management, and credit history highly influence the level of loan repayment practices of the borrowers. Favorable loan characteristics, good credit management, and credit history result in excellent repaying performance. Thus, the two variables have a significant relationship. However the regression results also found that the degree of financial literacy has a low influence on the loan repayment of the Grains Multi-Purpose Cooperative borrowers. This indicates that borrowers with high financial literacy are more likely to repay loans on time, but financial literacy is not the strongest influence on loan repayment. Finally, the researchers propose that future studies consider and investigate further factors beyond the examined ones in this current research that might have a strong influence on loan repayment more than financial literacy
An integrated investigation of proficiency and obstacles in mother tongue to English translation: a mixed method study
This study explores the proficiency and obstacles encountered by the Grade 10 students in Mother Tongue to English translation. Utilizing a sequential explanatory design, 30 respondents were randomly selected via simple random sampling and given a translation proficiency test. By using total population sampling, their outputs were analyzed through content analysis. The quantitative results revealed the mean score of 48.9% with a "D" distinction and a "Third" remark, reflecting qualities of being novice to beginners in translation and difficulties in achieving equivalency. Qualitative data highlighted the prevalence of errors, specifically in third-person pronouns' usage, vocabulary, punctuations, pragmatics, lexical-semantics, spellings, capitalization, prepositional usage, spacing, pluralization, and subject-verb agreement. The overall translation score (48.9%) supported with detail analysis of specific error patterns in mechanics, grammar and syntax, semantics, and pragmatics highlights significant gaps in students' English language skills. These gaps indicate that the current K-12 curriculum may not be adequately addressing the complexities of language learning and translation skills necessary for higher education and professional settings. Consequently, language educators should improve and strengthen the language teaching practices and seek strategies to adapt to the evolving curriculum and address the weaknesses observed in English language instruction especially in translation
Microfinance and poverty alleviation among selected self-employed in Matina Aplaya, Davao City

Societies cannot eradicate poverty unless they provide individuals with the means to swiftly expand their income-generating enterprises, such as farms, sole proprietorships, and small enterprises. The main purpose of this study is to determine the significant relationship between microfinance and poverty alleviation among selected self-employed in Matina Aplaya, Davao City. This study also investigates the level of microfinance and poverty alleviation among selected self-employed in Matina Aplaya, Davao City. The study used a descriptive-correlational research design and purposive sampling technique of fifty selected self-employees from Davao City. Also, an adapted questionnaire was used, and the results were treated statistically using Mean, Standard Deviation, and Pearson's r. Furthermore, the study revealed a high level of microfinance and poverty alleviation among selected self-employed in Matina Aplaya, Davao City. Also, the study revealed that there is a strong positive significant relationship between microfinance and poverty alleviation among selected self-employed in Matina Aplaya, Davao City. Before immersing themselves in microfinance, self-employed individuals were advised to speak with an expert. The top financial service lenders engaged in microfinance should also keep a close eye on and assess how their borrowers intend to use the borrowed money as well as the kind of venture they wish to start. Moreover, governments ought to support microfinance institutions by providing funds that will be disbursed at favorable interest rates. Lastly, scholars studying microfinance and poverty reduction may find this work useful in the future as a reference, especially for financial management students
Assessing disaster preparedness and mental health among employees in the local government unit in Panabo
This study explores the link between disaster preparedness and mental health among employees of the local government unit (LGU) in Panabo. It examines disaster preparedness, employee disaster information, and disaster supply kits. Using a non-experimental quantitative design with a descriptive correlation technique, the study analyzed the statistical relationships between these factors. Furthermore, a total of 267 LGU Panabo employees were chosen through random sampling. Data was collected via questionnaires, with reliability ensured by Cronbach's Alpha and validity checked by expert reviews. The pilot test results indicated a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.725, while the dependent variable had outstanding reliability with a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.713. Additionally, descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation, summarized the data. Results showed that LGU Panabo's disaster preparedness practices are very high, with an overall mean score of 4.35. Similarly, employees' mental health also scored very high, with a mean of 4.21. Moreover, there is a significant positive relationship between disaster preparedness and mental health, indicating that better disaster preparedness positively affects employee well-being and organizational effectiveness
