    Financial literacy among pantawid pamilyang pilipino prgram (4p's) beneficiaries in Island Garden City of Samal

    This study investigates the differences in financial literacy among beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamil;yang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the Island Garden City of Samal, analyzing factors such as gender, age, education, and civil status. A total of 130 participants from three districts were randomly selected and assessed using a descriptive quantitative approach. The statistical analysis employed included Mean, ANOVA, and T-tests, with data gathered through a questionnaire utilizing a 5-point Likert Scale. The findings revealed that the beneficiaries exhibited strong financial literacy, demonstrating very high levels of financial behavior, financial knowledge, financial awareness, and financial skills. Notably, the study found no significant differences in financial literacy based on the respondents' demographic profiles. Based on these results, the study recommends that impoverished families seek alternative sources of income and adopt effective family planning strategies to better manage financial challenges. It also underscores the importance of providing targeted financial literacy education to enhance the financial capabilities of these families

    Employees' performance and attitude towards non-financial incentives of selected beach resort in Babak District

    This non-experimental quantitative descriptive correlation research explores the relationship between employees' performance and attitude towards non-financial incentives at selected beach resorts in Babak District. Random sampling was used in this study. Mean and Person-r were used as statistical tools. The selected respondents included two hundred six people, who were picked using Raosoft's method. Researchers adapted the questionnaires. Findings revealed that employees had a very high level of performance. This implied that implementing effective non0financial incentives can further enhance the already high level of employee performance observed in the study. This means that employees do their work effectively and perform outstandingly. Moreover, the attitude of non-financial incentives is very high. This suggest that employees hold a positive attitude toward non-financial incentives. Furthermore, this study's finding revealed a significant relationship between the two variables, employees' performance and attitude towards non-financial incentives. This implied highlighting the potential for maintaining organizational effectiveness through targeted incentive strategies. The study suggested that the beach owners may maintain the non-financial incentives given to their employees to maintain their performance level in the selected beach resorts of Babak District, Island Garden City of Samal

    This study aims to determine the knowledge, attitude, and practices on the sustainability of Mangrove trees in Brgy. Peñaplata Samal Disctrict Island Garden City of Samal. In order to draw interferences and compare various variables or groups, researchers used a quantitative-comparative design, which is based on the comparison and analysis of quantitative data. A total of 355 respondents were randomly selected from the total population of 4,583 in the said barangay. ANOVA, t-test, and mean were the statistical tools used to analyze the data after a survey questionnaire was given to a sample population. It was found out that the level of knowledge, attitude, and practice about the sustainability of mangrove trees is extremely high. This means that most people of Barangay Peñaplata were aware and understood the purposes and benefits of the mangroves and its sustainability. This further suggests that individuals are not only aware of the significance of mangroves; but also have demonstrated their actions and interests in mangrove sustainability. Results show that there are no significant differences in respondents' knowledge, attitudes and actions about the sustainability of mangrove tress based on gender or employment sector. This means that men and women have the same knowledge, attitudes, and practices about the sutainability of mangrove trees. More likely, there are no significant differences in knowledge, attitude, or actions related to mangrove sustainability based on occupational catergory. This means that they all had the same knowledge, attitude, and practices on mangrove sustainability, regardless of whether they worked in the private, public, self-employed, or jobless sectors. The researchers concluded that the majority of participants are knowledgeable and have acquired good attitudes and practices with high awareness that shed light on the significance, benefits, and sustainability of mangroves for the environment and their community

    The study aims to determine the relationship between entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial intention of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Financial Management Students of UM Peñaplata college. A simple random sampling technique was used, which included 171 students as respondents, through a non-experimental quantitative utilizing a descriptive-correlational technique of research, validated questionnaire, mean and Pearson-Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. Results showed that levels of entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial intention were very high. This implies that the entrepreneurial intention of BSBA students is very evident. It was found that there was a significant relationship between entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial intention. This suggests that BSBA students with positive attitude about entrepreneurship are more likely to see opportunities to start their own business. They may also be more resilient in the face of setbacks and willing to take risks. The study on the relationship between entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial intention among Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Financial Management Students of UM Peñaplata College underscores the significance of cultivating positive attitudes towards entrepreneurship to boosts business success. This is crucial for students aspiring to start their own businesses as it enhances their resilience, risk-taking willingness, creativity, and innovation, all essential for succeeding in the business world

    Disaster awareness of intermediate students in Tagluno Elementary School: basis for subject integration proposal

    This study was conducted to determine the level of disaster awareness of intermediate students in Tagluno Elementary School. A quantitative descriptive research approach was used. It utilizes the mean to measure the level of disaster awareness of the students, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine the significant difference in disaster awareness when grouped according to gender and grade level, respectively. The study was conducted in the last quarter of the school year 2023-2024, and 40 intermediate students participated. The level of disaster awareness of intermediate students in Tagluno Elementary School is very high it was found that male nad female intermediate students have the same knowledge and understanding of the disaster under investigation. When the students were grouped by grade level, the researchers found that there was no significant difference in students' awareness of typhoons and earthquakes. Still, it was found that grade 4 students have a lower level of awareness of fire and flood incidents compared to grade 5 and grade 6 students. Therefore, a proposal to integrate the lesson about this disaster in science subjects for grade 4 students was formulated

    The green marketing and its impact on consumer buying behavior towards green product in convenience stores in Panabo City

    The purpose of this study is to promote green marketing and green products to influence consumer buying behavior in convenience stores. The research used a quantitative approach and a standardized survey questionnaire to collect data from 170 respondents the majority of respondents were aged 18 to 35. The results show that the independent variable has an overall mean of 4.49 with a descriptive equivalent of very high, while the dependent variable has an overall mean of 4.51 with a descriptive equivalent of very high, which shows a strong relationship between the variables. Table 1 shows the result for the impact of green marketing on green products, which has an overall mean of 4.54 with a very high descriptive equivalent. Table 2 shows the results for the level of consumer buying behavior towards green products, which has an overall mean of 4.49 with a very high descriptive equivalent. Table 3 is the result of a significant relationship between green marketing and consumer buying behavior for green products at the convenience store in Panabo City. The correlation coefficients of the independent and dependent variables are.315** and the p-value is 0.000. The study's null hypothesis (Ho) was not accepted since it stated below that the decision on Ho is rejected and the p-value is lower than 0.05. This means there is a significant relationship between green marketing and consumer buying behavior for green products

    The effect of electricity power interruption on the profitability of beach resorts in Island Garden City of Samal

    This study investigates the influence of electricity power interruptions on beach resorts' profitability in the Island Garden City of Samal, Philippines. Through a descriptive correlational design, data were gathered from 85 registered beach resorts' owners and managers using a modified survey questionnaire. Mean, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Regression analysis were used as statistical tools. Findings reveal often electricity power interruptions, with outages and reliance on alternative sources being prevalent. Correlation analysis shows a positive correlation between outages, alternative power sources, and profitability, while power fluctuations showed no significant relationship. Regression analysis indicates that outages significantly influence profitability. The study aligns with the Energy Theory and Value and Input-Output theory, emphasizing energy's critical role in economic activity and value creation. Recommendation include infrastructure upgrades, awareness campaigns, and incentive for renewable energy adoption to mitigate the impact of power interruptions on beach resorts' profitability and promote sustainable tourism development. Future research should explore additional factors impacting beach resorts' performance for a comprehensive understanding and informed decision-making

    Undergraduate thesisThis study focused on exploring the lived experiences of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) enforcers conducting anti-drug operations. Through in-depth interviews and analysis of themes, the study revealed the experiences, challenges, and insights that the forefront agents faced on a daily basis in their efforts to eradicate the illicit drug trade. The study employed qualitative interviews with 10 drug enforcement personnel from Region 11 Davao City who had prior experience or involvement in anti-illegal drug operations. Purposive sampling was utilized in selecting the participants from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 11. The result of the study revealed that the interview produced 11 primary themes based on their experiences. The emerged themes related to the lived experiences of participants involved in drug operations include compromising personal security in exchange for a sense of fulfillment and ongoing learning and growth. Throughout their journey, they encountered challenges and obstacles while carrying out their responsibilities, which highlighted the following themes: lack of manpower, weather and environment, the security of the enforcers' lives, time, and case filing. The PDEA enforcers shared several valuable lessons and insights from their experiences in conducting anti-drug operations. These are divided into three themes: Collaboration and Teamwork, Excellence-driven and Accountable public servants, and Training, Commendations, and Promotions. As a result, PDEA enforcers emphasized the value of achieving high standards of excellence and accountability in their roles as public servants. By embodying professionalism and integrity, they strived to earn and hold the trust and confidence of the public they serve.     Awareness of disaster risk reduction and extent of integration among college of business administration in UMPC

    This study aimed to determine the significant relationship between Awareness of Disaster Risk Reduction and Extent of Integration among College of Business Administration in UMPC. The independent variable of the study is awareness of disaster risk reduction with an indicators of Disaster-Related Knowledge, Disaster Preparedness and Readiness, Disaster Adaptation, Disaster Awareness and Disaster Risk Perception. The dependent variable of the study is extent of integration with an indicators of Attitude and Action, School's Policy, and Preparedness Planning. The independent variable has an overall mean of 3.62 described as high and the dependent variable has an overall mean of 3.81 described as high. In this study, the researchers used the descriptive-correlation method, with 242 students in UMPC to determine the relationship of the two variables by using the statistical tools, which are the mean and Pearson-r. The result of the computation using R-value is 0.732 associated with the significant value of 0.000, which is less than the alpha of 0.05. As a result, the null hypothesis is rejected. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between Awareness of Disaster Risk Reduction and Extent of Integration among students of the Department of Business Administration in UMPC
