The Earth upward trend in average annual air temperatures has led to increased physical evaporation of water from soil and plant transpiration. This phenomenon raises questions about the adequacy of soil moisture reserves to support optimal plant growth under changing environmental conditions. In addition to precipitation, factors such as constanty updated sunflower varieties (hybrids), mineral nutrition, and irrigation techniques significantly impact sunflower yields. This study aims to assess the correlation between key climatic parameters in the Republic of Moldova and sunflower yield. Analyzing data on average annual air temperatures and spring moisture reserves from 2006 to 2020, it was found out that, on average, climatic conditions in this region ensure a sunflower yield of up to 20 quintals per hectare over a 15-year period. Knowing the spring reserves of productive moisture in the soil and precipitation levels from April to July allows for predictive modeling of sunflower yield.

The study investigates insect species diversity within Phacelia tanacetifolia plants (sown in 2023 on an area of 7 hectares) and surrounding habitats (valley, meadow, and forest edge) in the Plaiul Fagului Reserve. A total of 63 insect species were identified, comprising 10 dragonfly species, 39 hopper species, and 14 ladybug species. As a result, one dragonfly species and 17 hopper species were recorded for the first time within the reserve, while two ladybug species (Scymnus apetzi and S. haemorrhoidalis) were identified for the first time in the Republic of Moldova. Across valley, meadow, and forest edge habitats, 55 insect species were observed, while the cultivated phacelia plot harbored 27 species, including 8 (6 hoppers and 2 ladybugs) exclusively associated with phacelia plants. 19 insect species were found common to both habitats. The cultivation of phacelia within the reserve demonstrates potential benefits for diverse insect populations.

The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of adding aronia (Aronia melenocarpa), raspberry (Rubus idaeus), and strawberry (Fragaria xananassa) in the form of 10% puree to a mixture of cow's and goat's milk in order to reduce the risk of spoilage caused by activity of Bacillus cereus in yoghurt made from a mixture of cow's and goat's milk. During the fermentation process (360 min.), changes in water activity, pH, moisture content, bacterial growth curve were monitored. The results showed a decrease in water activity, pH, and moisture content. Adding aronia puree to yoghurt yielded the most significant results for water activity modification (0.971-0.868), pH (5.31-4.28), moisture content (85.12-81.55 %), and optical density (0.19-0.34). Also, the investigation of the kinetics of the Bacillus cereus grows indicated that the stationary phase was reached at 360 minutes, resulting in a total population of 5.5·1013 c.f.u./g. Microscopic examination revealed Gram-positive strains of lactic acid bacteria, arranged in chains of varying lengths, in an amount of 139·102 c.f.u./g. Antimicrobial activity showed a zone of inhibition with a diameter of 18.5±0.1 mm in aronia yoghurt, a zone of inhibition with a diameter of 16.2±0.2 mm in raspberry yoghurt and a zone of inhibition with a diameter of 15.2±0.1 mm in strawberry yoghurt compared to classic yoghurt which showed a zone of inhibition with a diameter of 12.1±0.2 mm

THE USE OF SYNCHRONOUS VECTOR MEASUREMENTS IN THE CALCULATION OF STEADY-STATE MODES OF ELECTRICAL NETWORKS

    Get PDF
Calculation of steady state mode is the most used tool of modern electrical networks’ analysis. The current study is focused on the application of synchronized phasor measurements technology for steady state mode calculation. There is shown that the solely use of synchronized phasor measurements as initial information for calculating the steady state mode or in conjunction with traditional telemetry from Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition system (SCADA) has a number of advantages over classical methods, which is due to the simplification of the computational process, reduced time and required computational memory, and more reliable informational support. This paper presents the novel approach which consists in steady state mode calculations using accelerated and ultra-accelerated algorithms. These algorithms are based on the implementation of the method of determining values and special structure of the matrix of nodal admittances, what allow to reduce the number of equations, that must be solved in order to find the searched nodal voltages. Besides, there is no need to set balancing node, and dependences between searched and known nodal voltages become linear. The calculations performed for test scheme IEEE-14 demonstrate that both algorithms provide high accuracy results, increase the simplicity and speed of calculation by separate solving of linear equations

COMPUTING HERITAGE VALUES: A CASE FOR GEORGIA AND MALTA

    Get PDF
Value criteria and dimensions of heritage are two aspects on which the heritage value is calculated. The Heritage Value Calculation is effectively a computation whereby the heritage value for given site is established. This method was applied to two seminal contemporary architectural case studies, namely, the Palace of Rituals (Georgia) and the Manikata Church (Malta). The heritage value computed for each provides insight into their essential features whilst allowing a comparison of the sites – Georgia and Malta are spiritually linked through the same religious faith. Although the Palace of Rituals scored slightly higher in the dimensions of materiality, function, and spirit and memory, the Manikata Church obtained considerably higher scores for design, location and context, and traditions and techniques, thus ending up with a higher overall final heritage value score

Legal implications for incomplete criminal sanctions norms in lieu of fines for corporations in spatial planning crimes in Indonesia

    Get PDF
Spatial planning corporate criminal sanctions are criminal sanctions imposed on corporations as stipulated in Article 74 of Law Number 26 of 2007. The criminal sanction can be applied in controlling the planning of the territory so that there is order and the space is protected from violations of the use of the space. However, when looking at the data on zoning violations, this hope is still illusory where existing law has failed to deal with corporate violations. In addition, criminal liability has not reached the beneficiaries of the proceeds of corporate crimes so that the legal objectives are not achieved. The aim of this study is to find out what the legal implications of incomplete criminal sanctions instead of fines are for corporations in land-use offences. This research is a normative legal study with multiple approaches, including statutory approaches, case approaches, historical approaches, comparative approaches, and conceptual approaches. Legal material analysis techniques are performed in perspective. The results of the study show that the legal implication of incomplete criminal penalties instead of fines for corporations in land-use offenses is expressed only by Article 74 para. (1) to the Territorial Planning Law (UUPR) 26/2007 - Criminal sanctions for corporations. This cannot simply be operationalized because there is no regulation on the mode of committing crimes (straf modus), there are multiple interpretations that cause confusion. They lead to the non-fulfillment of the legal objectives in the article a quo

ORGANIZATION MANAGEABILITY ENHANCED THROUGH TOPOLOGICAL MODULAR FORMS

    Get PDF
Organizational manageability is a crucial aspect of business management, requiring a combination of forecasting, planning, organizing, implementing, controlling and decision-making. Topological modular forms study the properties of objects that are invariant under certain types of transformations and the authors search for and identify a set of key factors that are essential to the organizational manageability (both stable and unstable) and create a framework that captures these factors. Organizational manageability is highly complex and multifaceted field that requires the integration of mentioned elements. In order to simplify incommensurable complexity, authors offer the hypothesis that differentiating the approach to manageability in the two distinct situations "steady and familiar condition" and "unsteady and with considerable uncertainty condition" is effective. Discrimination between those two situations is essential for business success and requires a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, design of organization and usage of resources. By mastering the principles of organizational manageability based on mentioned classification of situations, businesses can improve their performance, increase their competitiveness and achieve their goals more effectively

The aim of this study was to obtain information on the perception of Université de Kinshasa students of the quality of the education provided at their institution. The study was based on two hypotheses: (1) Université de Kinshasa students would have a positive appreciation of the quality of the education they receive; (2) socio-demographic variables such as age, gender, promotion and department would influence students' assessment of the quality of the education they receive. To test this hypothesis, a scale was designed and administered to 114 students from the University of Kinshasa, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. The scale assessed four dimensions of teaching quality: the quality of teaching planning, teachers' performance, learning assessment and teachers' mastery of the subject. The results show that students at the University of Kinshasa have a positive assessment of the teaching provided at their institution. In other words, they affirm that the quality of teaching at their university is good. This quality is reflected in four indicators: (1) good planning of teaching by teachers, (2) good performance by teachers, (3) good assessment of learning and (4) mastery of the subject by teachers
