THE PARTICULARITIES OF THE BEHAVIOR AND MOTIVATION OF THE CONSUMER OF ECOLOGICAL PRODUCTS IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA
The integration of the concept of sustainable development into the market economy is closely linked to a clear understanding of the motivations underlying the ecological behavior of consumers. The hypothesis of the study was that consumers in the Republic of Moldova are increasingly motivated to purchase ecological products, and their consumption behavior is influenced by factors such as awareness of health benefits, concern for environmental protection, income level, etc. The purpose of the study was to analyze the behavior and motivation of consumers of ecological products in the Republic of Moldova. To achieve this goal, the following tasks have been proposed: developing a questionnaire, conducting a survey and collecting data, analyzing the information obtained and formulating relevant conclusions. The methods used for the research consisted of studying domestic and foreign literature sources in the field, using the systemic approach method to study market phenomena and conducting a survey. Research results showed that in the current context, characterized by growing concerns about sustainability, climate change and the negative impact of industry on the environment, the behavior of consumers of organic products in the Republic of Moldova is becoming a topic of major interest, and the motivation for purchasing these products is constantly evolving. The initial hypothesis has largely come true. The analysis of the behavior and motivation of consumers in the Republic of Moldova showed that the orientation towards organic products is determined by factors such as awareness of health benefits, concern for environmental protection and social influences
MEASURES TO IMPROVE FISCAL SUSTAINABILITY AND DEBT MANAGEMENT AT THE PROVINCIAL LEVEL: A CASE OF SOUTH AFRICA
Public debt and fiscal sustainability are pressing issues for provincial governments in South Africa, posing significant challenges to effective governance and service delivery. Using desktop research, the article explores the impact of inefficient financial management, corruption, and governance weaknesses which exacerbate fiscal pressures and hinder sustainable development. The results showed that a plethora of factors contributed to rising public debt and fiscal instability in provinces, including limited revenue-generation capabilities, heavy reliance on national transfers, escalating costs of service delivery, and unfunded mandates. The article recommends that South African provincial governments can modernise revenue collection systems, adopt cost-saving technologies, revise the equitable share formula, and strengthen financial accountability and transparency. The study underscores the importance of innovative and collaborative approaches to ensure long-term economic stability and equitable development across South Africa’s provinces. By implementing these strategies, provincial governments can reduce their debt burdens, improve fiscal sustainability, and enhance their capacity to deliver essential services
The article presents an analysis of the stage-by-stage use of the protein electrophoresis method (as a key method of protein chemistry) in the selection and seed production of maize for the period 1988-2023 in the Republic of Moldova. The possibility of using a set of methodological developments (electrophoresis method and computer modeling principles) on a large volume of maize breeding and genetic material has been experimentally substantiated. This methodological complex helps to solve two important problems: the problem of exporting seeds of Moldovan breeding hybrids of maize and for a wide range of research work in the field of genetics and selection and seed production of Zea mays L. The analysis of the recent year’s results allowed the authors of this article to focus on the development and creation specifics of a catalogue of electrophoretic passports of new generation maize hybrids. The authors consider this catalog as a serious argument for the effectiveness of introducing modern methods of biochemical genetics and computer technologies into agronomic practice, which can be used successfully at the national and international levels.

EFECTELE TĂIERII POMILOR DE CIREȘ (PRUNUS AVIUM L.) ASUPRA RANDAMENTULUI ȘI CALITĂȚII FRUCTELOR
The study analyzes the impact of different types of pruning on the yield and quality characteristics of cherry fruits, including size, weight, soluble matter, and firmness. The research was carried out on four cherry varieties: ‚Record’ and ‚Valery Chkalov’, grafted on Mahaleb rootstock and planted in 2003, at a distance of 6x5 m, and ‚Skeena’ and ‚Stella’, grafted on MaxMa 14, planted in 2012, at a distance of 5x3 m. Gradual rejuvenation pruning of 3–5-year-old semi-skeletal branches led to yield increases of 6.7% and 8.9% for ‚Valery Chkalov’ and ‚Record’, respectively, compared to crown maintenance and fruiting pruning performed during both dormant and growing seasons. In Skeena and Stella, early autumn pruning had a positive effect by stimulating the production of fruits with a diameter over 26 mm (up to 70%), without reducing total yield. Pruning during the growing season proved to be a practical method for improving fruit quality and size. The values for soluble dry matter content, titratable acidity and fruit firmness remained relatively stable and showed no significant differences between the various pruning treatments
ANNEALING EFFECT ON UV DETECTION PROPERTIES OF ZnO:Al STRUCTURES
The aim of this study was to develop low-powered, highly selective UV sensor to continuously monitor personalized UV exposure as well as to study annealing effect on UV detection properties of the sensors. ZnO:Al structures were obtained by chemical growth method followed by thermal annealing at 625 °C for 2 h. The studied samples exhibit maximal UV response of 620/488 at 25 °C/50 °C to 370 nm UV radiation before/after annealing, respectively. Thermal annealing of sensor (250 °C for 1 h) led to improvement in fall time from 3860 seconds to 262 seconds at 25 °C and highest responsivity (~48 mA/W) came out for 370 nm wavelength at 75 °C operating temperatures. Consequently, excellent selectivity for 370 nm UV illumination can be ascribed as due to thermal annealing effect which increases the crystallinity, grain size, and roughness of the sensing film. The PL measurements reveals the suppression of structural defects, increase in intensity after annealing and enhanced UV response due to presence of Al content in films. Overall, these structures showed magnificent UV properties, before and especially after additional thermal annealing. UV sensing mechanism of such nanomaterial-based sensor were explained with physio-chemical processes take place on the surface of these structures. The obtained results on annealed ZnO:Al films-based devices is superior to reported performances of other nanostructures, proving new results for UV sensing applications at different operating temperatures in various fields
WHERE IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE GOING?
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a machine to mimic human functions such as reasoning, learning, planning and creativity. AI enables technical systems to perceive the environment in which they operate, process this perception and solve problems, acting to achieve a particular goal. The computer receives data (either already prepared or collected via its own sensors, such as a camera), processes it and reacts. AI systems are able to adapt their behaviour to some extent, analysing the effects of previous actions and operating autonomously

PECULIARITIES OF PROTEINS FRACTIONATION AT ELECTROACTIVATION OF WHEY
Food processing, which generates both by-products and waste, requires a revision of modern processes in the framework of the development of non-residual, environmentally friendly processes. Dairy by-products require the development of complex zero-waste technologies. Electroactivation is an emerging process to overcome those challenges, which allows for non-residual processing of milk by-products. Electroactivation, managing both the technological regimes and the geometric/technical parameters of the electrolyzers used to process different types of whey, allows both the electrofractionation of the whey proteins recovered in protein mineral concentrates enriched, under certain process conditions, with a certain protein content, but also the simultaneous isomerization of lactose into lactulose following two mechanisms, and creating a closed process cycle. The geometry of the electrolyzers and the content of the secondary liquid (anodic liquid) influence both the extraction and the formation of protein compounds enriched with alpha-lactalbumin, as well as the formation of a complex between calcium and isomerized lactulose

MODELS FOR REAL-TIME TRAFFIC FLOW MANAGEABILITY AND DECISION-MAKING IN INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS
This article explores models in Intelligent Transportation Systems for real-time traffic flow manageability, focusing on decision-making processes. It covers forecasting, planning, implementing, and controlling strategies to manage traffic flow and ease congestion. Traffic flow prediction models, like dynamic route guidance and traffic flow prediction, utilize historical data and real-time inputs for proactive decision-making. Traffic flow planning models, such as dynamic route guidance index and route efficiency factor, aid in route selection and signal timing optimization. In order to streamline the boundless complexity, the authors assume that it is effective to delineate the managerial capacity paradigm of intelligent transportation systems into the two separate scenarios of “stable and known situation” and “unstable and with large uncertainty situation”. The article proposes a hypothesis to improve the decision-making process in traffic flow. The distinction between these two situations is essential for the smooth running of the business and requires a thorough understanding of the traffic flow in real time, making decisions in intelligent transport systems in order to direct the traffic. The article focuses on data-driven decisions for smoother traffic flow
