    RESILIENT VILLAGE: FLOOD MITIGATION LANDSCAPE AT PERKAMPUNGAN SUNGAI ISAP, KUANTAN, PAHANG

    This project aims to create a resilient village where the residential area of Perkampungan Sungai Isap is a significant flood vulnerable area. The concept of a resilient village aims to enhance the performance of a system to maintain or recover functionality in the event of disruption or disturbance. Therefore, this project is proposed to create a green and sustainable design as strategies for adaptive flood landscape. The project, located in the East Coast State of Pahang in Kuantan, is among the high-risk areas for floods near the Kuantan River Basin. The developed area is about 610 hectares, while the abandoned area is about 90 hectares. Perkampungan Sungai Isap is a mixed development area located in a suburban area that consists of residential, commercial facilities and utilities

    This comprehensive project is about enhancing the well being of the community around Klang. Klang town might have faced urban environmental issues, social and economic aspects of the problems. This project intends to create comprehensive smart living cities focusing on biodiversity, historical values and economy with a concentration on accessibility for Klang town. The project, located at the centre of Klang town, has 243 hectares in acreage. The study area involved skyscrapers clustered within the city centre encompassingbanks, commercial sectors, regional offices, institutions, religious and large corporations, especially those along Jalan Tengku Kelana, Jalan Tengku Diaudin and Jalan Dato Hamzah. The low scale development of the site dominated by traditional shop-houses and retail outlets of high pedestrian activity is in the southern part of Klang town

    The review of Negeri Sembilan State Structure Plan 2045 complies with the amendments or review of the state’s five years’ development plan. This planning document presents the strategies, policies, and general proposals that cover the whole state. The review also considers changes in policies at the state level to align with the policies at the national level. The process of preparation of the State Structure Plan is in accordance with the manual of PLANMalaysia. The review of Negeri Sembilan State Structure Plan 2045consists of 5 development thrusts, 34 policies, 98 strategies, and nine high impact projects

    SENADA: HARMONISING ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS FOR THE RECOVERY OF POST-PARTUM DEPRESSION

    This research aims to solve the issues of postpartum depression among mothers through architectural solution. The paper focuses on the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of mothers who suffer from postpartum depression upon delivering their babies. The research has two (2) objectives: to evaluate the appropriate spatial requirement for postpartum confinement and design a Recovery Centre with an effective healing environment for postpartum women with depression. The table-research method to evaluate precedent studies of the same building typology was adopted to generate a comprehensive schedule of accommodation for the planned facility's spatial requirement and the criteria of a healing environment for women with postpartum depression. The research outcome is an architectural design facility proposed as a Recovery Centre for Women with Postpartum Depression. The project would benefit postpartum women by providing an appropriate healing environment in the new architectural design facility

    Malaysia is one of the major fish consumers globally, with 56.5 kg of fish consumed per person each year, which is higher than the world average fish consumption. High fish consumption and sea pollution affected the number of captured fisheries. Malaysia, at this point, must not rely on captured fisheries as the primary seafood resources. Hence aquaculture is seen as the most suitable way to overcome the issue. However, land aquaculture produced freshwater pollution and resulted in low-quality fisheries. Therefore, thisresearch proposes a sustainable offshore aquaculture centre design in Malaysia to reduce water pollution and increase marine fish produce. The first objective of the research is to identify the type of marine fishes that can increase other marine fish population. The second objective is to determine sustainable aquaculture practices. The third objective is to determine the appropriate research facilities for breeding and production. The whole study was at Pulau Besar, Johor. The research methodology adopted is qualitativeresearch through case studies, interviews, and structured observation. The first finding is that parrotfish identified as important species for breeding to balance the marine ecosystem. The second finding had identified sustainable aquaculture practices such as cage angling, fish breading in its natural habitat, use of natural food for fish feeding. The third finding identified is marine research laboratories like hatchery, experiment, parrotfish sanctuary, which can increase marine fish production
