GRAPHENE OXIDE MICROCAPSULES (GOMs) WITH LINSEED OIL CORE VIA PICKERING EMULSION METHOD: EFFECT OF DISPERSE SPEED
Graphene oxide microcapsules (GOMs) have been prepared through Pickering emulsion method by varying the disperse speed to study its effect on the GOM’s size. The GOMs were characterized through phase separation observation, polarized optical microscope (POM), and particle size analyser (PSA). Phase separation observation showed more viscous and cloudy emulsion was produced when the disperse speed was increased. After 24 hours, only 800 rpm emulsion did not show any phase separation. POM characterization depicted that increasing the emulsification energy led to the finer emulsion with the 1200 rpm sample showing the smallest microcapsule size of around 8 ?m. However, PSA analysis suggested that although the disperse speed controls the GOMs size, the amount of GO in the emulsion plays an important role for the microcapsule to maintain its stability. Emulsion produced at 800 rpm possesses satisfactory stability with GOMs diameter of 11.15 ?m. The result also suggested that graphene oxide encapsulated linseed oil may act as a promising candidate for healing microcapsules in a self-healing coating system.
ABSTRAK: Mikrokapsul graphene oksida (GOMs) telah dihasilkan melalui kaedah emulsifikasi Pickering dengan memvariasikan tenaga pengemulsi untuk mengkaji kesannya terhadap saiz GOMs. GOMs dicirikan melalui pemerhatian pemisahan fasa, mikroskop optik polarisasi (POM) dan penganalisis saiz zarah (PSA). Pemerhatian pemisahan fasa menunjukkan emulsi yang lebih likat dan keruh dihasilkan apabila kelajuan pengemulsi meningkat. Selepas 24 jam, hanya emulsi 800 rpm tidak menunjukkan pemisahan fasa. Pencirian POM meunjukkan bahawa peningkatan tenaga pengemulsi menghasilkan emulsi yang lebih halus dengan sampel 1200 rpm menunjukkan saiz mikrokapsul terkecil, sekitar 8 ?m. Walau bagaimanapun, analisis PSA mencadangkan bahawa walaupun kelajuan pengemulsi mengawal saiz GOMs, jumlah GO dalam emulsi memainkan peranan penting untuk mengekalkan kestabilan mikrokapsul. Emulsi yang dihasilkan pada 800 rpm mempunyai kestabilan yang memuaskan dengan purata saiz GOMs sekitar 11.15 ?m. EFFECT OF CHITIN SOURCE AND CONTENT ON PROPERTIES OF CHITIN NANOWHISKERS FILLED POLYLACTIC ACID COMPOSITES
This study investigates the use of chitin nanowhiskers (CHW) from different chitin sources to develop CHW reinforced polylactic acid (PLA) nanocomposite. Chitin sources used in this study were commercial chitin (CC), fermented chitin (FC) and treated fermented chitin (TFC) whereby FC and TFC were obtained from fermentation of prawn waste. The chitin was then undergoes acid hydrolysis to produce commercial chitin nanowhiskers (CCHW), fermented chitin nanowhiskers (FCHW) and treated fermented chitin nanowhiskers (TFCHW). PLA was chosen due to several advantages such as biodegradability, good mechanical strength and in line with global pressure to improve environmental pollution aspects. Tensile strength for PLA/FCHW, PLA/TFCHW and PLA/CCHW increased with increasing filler content until it reached optimum value at 1 phr, 2 phr and 3 phr, respectively. Young’s modulus for the nanocomposites increased with increasing filler content but elongation at break decreased significantly with increasing filler content for all types of nanocomposites. TGA results indicated that PLA/CHW nanocomposites displayed better thermal stability as compared to pure PLA. The biodegradability and water absorption of nanocomposites increased with increasing filler content.The overall results confirm that PLA nanocomposites from FC are not inferior than PLA nanocomposites from CC and therefore has similar potential to be used in packaging applications.
ABSTRAK: Kajian ini menyelidik penggunaan nanowisker kitin (CHW) dari sumber kitin yang berbeza untuk membangunkan komposit poli(asid laktik) (PLA) bertetulang CHW. Sumber-sumber kitin yang digunakan dalam kajian ini terdiri daripada kitin komersial (CC), kitin ditapai (FC) dan kitin ditapai yang dirawat (TFC) di mana FC dan TFC diperoleh daripada penapaian sisa udang. Kitin kemudiannya menjalani proses hidrolisis asid untuk menghasilkan nanowisker kitin komersial (CCHW), nanowisker kitin ditapai (FCHW) dan nanowisker kitin ditapai yang dirawat (TFCHW). PLA dipilih kerana kelebihannya misalnya kebolehan pereputan-bio, kekuatan mekanikal yang baik dan sesuai dengan tekanan global untuk memperbaiki aspek pencemaran alam sekitar. Kekuatanreganganuntuk PLA/FCHW, PLA/TFCHW dan PLA/CCHW meningkat dengan peningkatan kandungan pengisi sehingga mencapai nilai optimum masing-masing pada 1 phr, 2 phr dan 3 phr. Modulus Young bagi komposit nano meningkat dengan peningkatan kandungan pengisi tetapi ciri pemanjangan takat putus menurun dengan ketara dengan peningkatan kandungan pengisi bagi semua jenis komposit nano. Keputusan TGA menunjukkan bahawa komposit nano PLA/CHW memaparkan kestabilan terma yang lebih baik berbanding dengan PLA tulen. Kadar pereputan-bio dan penyerapan air komposit nano meningkat dengan peningkatan kandungan pengisi. Hasil keseluruhan mengesahkan bahawa komposit nano PLA daripada FC tidak lebih rendah daripada komposit nano PLA dari CC dan berpotensi serupa untuk digunakan dalam aplikasi pembungkusan
THE HARMONIC COMPOSITION OF CURRENT IN ZERO-WORKING WIRE WITH NON-LINEAR LOAD
The purpose of this study was experimental investigations and a study of the nature of the change in the main harmonic components of the current in the neutral working wire of a three-phase four-wire network with a voltage of 0.38 kV. The study of the amplitude-phase-frequency characteristics of currents flowing in an electric network with a predominant non-linear load is one of the most urgent tasks, the solution of which will increase the efficiency of electric power transmission and eliminate the negative consequences due to the current flow in a zero-working wire in the network at 0.38 kV. To study the effect of load changes on the amplitude-phase-frequency characteristics of currents in the linear and zero working wires at the input of the load node, measurements were carried out by certified electrical measuring instruments namely, the “Resource-UF2M” and “Hioki 3196”. With these devices, the phase voltages at the input to the load node were measured. The analysis of the results obtained for the load node whose power was formed mainly by a lighting system with fluorescent and LED lamps and a system of office electrical receivers (computers, copiers, printers, scanners, etc.) was performed. It can be concluded that a current comparable to the currents of the linear wires of the network flows from the load node with the predominant nonlinear power receivers through the zero-working wire. At the same time, in the zero-working wire of the network, the third harmonic current prevails over the main frequency currents.
ABSTRAK: Tujuan kajian ini adalah penyelidikan eksperimental dan kajian mengenai sifat perubahan komponen harmonik utama arus dalam wayar kerja neutral rangkaian empat wayar tiga fasa dengan voltan 0.38 kV. Kajian mengenai ciri-ciri frekuensi-amplitud-fasa arus yang mengalir dalam rangkaian elektrik dengan beban bukan linear yang dominan adalah salah satu tugas yang paling mendesak, penyelesaiannya akan meningkatkan kecekapan penghantaran tenaga elektrik dan menghilangkan akibat negatif yang disebabkan ke arus semasa dalam wayar sifar bekerja di rangkaian pada 0.38 kV. Untuk mengkaji kesan perubahan beban pada ciri frekuensi-fasa frekuensi arus dalam wayar linier dan sifar pada input nod beban, pengukuran dilakukan oleh alat pengukur elektrik yang disahkan iaitu, "Resource-UF2M" dan "Hioki 3196". Dengan peranti ini, voltan fasa pada input ke simpul beban diukur. Analisis hasil yang diperoleh untuk simpul beban yang kekuatannya dibentuk terutama oleh sistem pencahayaan dengan lampu pendarfluor dan LED dan sistem penerima elektrik pejabat (komputer, mesin fotokopi, pencetak, pengimbas, dll.). Dapat disimpulkan bahawa arus yang setanding dengan arus wayar linier rangkaian mengalir dari nod beban dengan penerima kuasa bukan linier yang dominan melalui wayar sifar. NUMERICAL ALGORITHM FOR FINDING OPTIMAL INITIAL CONCENTRATIONS OF CHEMICAL REACTIONS
This article is devoted to the problem of developing methods for mathematical modelling in the sphere of optimal planning in a chemical experiment. In the article, the problem of finding the optimal ratio for initial concentrations of substances is formulated in general terms and an algorithm for solving this problem is constructed basing on the method of artificial immune systems. The developed algorithm for finding the optimal initial concentrations of substances allows solving the problem of experiment planning in chemistry at the computational experiment stage. In this case, the solution of the optimization problem found with its help does not depend on the choice of the initial approximation. The algorithm was tested for the industrially meaningful process of benzilidenebenzilamine synthesis for which the optimum values of the initial concentrations were calculated in order to obtain maximum yield of the reaction product.
ABSTRAK: Artikel ini ditujukan untuk masalah mengembangkan kaedah pemodelan matematik dalam bidang perancangan optimum dalam percubaan kimia. Dalam artikel itu, masalah mencari nisbah optimum untuk konsentrasi awal bahan digubal secara umum dan algoritma untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini dibina berdasarkan kaedah sistem imun buatan. Algoritma yang dibangunkan untuk mencari kandungan konsentrasi awal yang optimum membolehkan menyelesaikan masalah perancangan percubaan dalam kimia pada peringkat percubaan pengkomputeran. Dalam kes ini, penyelesaian masalah pengoptimuman yang didapati dengan bantuannya tidak bergantung pada pilihan permulaan awal. STUDY OF MICROSTRIP PATCH ARRAY ANTENNA FOR SIDE LOBE SUPPRESSION IN THE X-BAND REGION USING UNIFORM, BINOMIAL AND TSCHEBYSCHEFF EXCITATION METHODS
In this paper, a microstrip patch array antenna is designed and simulated to operate in the X-band frequency region at 9.5 GHz. For X-band communication transmission, it is necessary to suppress the side lobe radiation pattern of the antenna as much as possible to avoid the transmission being intercepted and/or received by undesirable neighbouring satellites. The geometrical design of the microstrip patch array antenna is simulated and executed using CST Microwave Studio (CST MWS) in order to study the effects of various antenna parameters such as S11, gain, directivity, side lobe level, and angular width. It is shown that the proposed antenna exhibits a low side lobe level of -14.2 dB with an acceptable high gain and directivity of 16.5 dB and 17.7 dB, respectively. The antenna configuration also has a size of only 285 mm × 59.275 mm which is much more compact and lightweight compared to the standard reflector antennas that are used for most X-band communication transmission.
ABSTRAK: Kajian ini berkaitan antena cantuman barisan jalurmikro yang direka dan disimulasi beroperasi pada 9.5 GHz frekunsi daerah jalur-X. Pada transmisi komunikasi jalur-X, corak radiasi sisi-lobus antena perlu ditahan sebanyak mungkin bagi mengelak transmisi dipintas dan/atau diterima oleh satelit tetangga yang tidak di ingini. Rekaan geometri antena cantuman barisan jalurmikro disimulasi dan diuji menggunakan perisian CST Studio Gelombang Mikro (CST MWS) bagi mengkaji pelbagai kesan parameter antenna seperti S11, gandaan, keterarahan, tahap sisi-lobus dan lebar sudut. Didapati bahawa antena yang dicadangkan mempunyai tahap sisi-lobus -14.2 dB yang rendah dengan gandaan tinggi yang boleh diterima dan keterarahan sebanyak 16.5 dB dan 17.7 dB, masing-masing. Tatabentuk antena mempunyai saiz 285 mm × 59.275 mm yang kompak dan ringan berbanding antena pemantul piawai, di mana telah digunakan pada kebanyakan jalur-X transmisi komunikasi
A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES FOR SEWAGE RECLAMATION: A FOCUS ON THE DISINFECTION PROCESS
Selection of suitable disinfection technology is necessary with regards to wastewater reclamation goals. In this work, the performance of various disinfection technologies - single disinfection units and integrated disinfection systems - on local sewage was studied for non-potable reuse. Disinfection units used as stand-alone units include ultraviolet (UV) disinfection, chlorination, microfiltration (MF), and ultrafiltration (UF). The integrated disinfection system consists of UV or chlorination as the primary disinfection unit incorporated with either MF, UF, multi-media or granular activated carbon as pre-treatment. The performance of these disinfection units and integrated processes were evaluated based on the percentage of removal of biochemical oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, total suspended solids, ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, phosphorus, Escherichia coli, and trihalomethane in bench-scale disinfection systems. The single unit of PES20kDa membrane and the integrated disinfection system of UF-Cl showed the most effective treatment among single disinfection units and integrated systems, respectively. The results showed that almost all disinfection units and integrated disinfection processes were useable for restricted and unrestricted area non-potable applications according to United State Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) water reuse guidelines and managed to fulfil Singapore grey water quality for recycling.
ABSTRAK: Pemilihan teknologi penyahjangkitan kuman yang sesuai adalah perlu selaras dengan matlamat pemulihgunaan air buangan. Kajian ini adalah tentang prestasi pelbagai teknologi penyahjangkitan kuman - unit tunggal penyahjangkitan kuman dan sistem penyahjangkitan kuman bersepadu pada air sisa kumbahan tempatan dikaji bagi penggunaan semula air minuman. Unit tunggal penyahjangkitan kuman yang digunakan mempunyai penyahjangkitan kuman ultraungu (UV), pengklorinan, mikro penurasan (MF), dan ultra penurasan (UF). Manakala, sistem penyahjangkitan kuman bersepadu terdiri daripada UV atau pengklorinan sebagai unit penyahjangkitan kuman utama yang digabungkan bersama samada dengan MF, UF, multi-media atau karbon teraktif berbutir sebagai proses pra-rawatan. Prestasi unit tunggal penyahjangkitan kuman dan proses-proses bersepadu dinilai berdasarkan pada peratus penyingkiran keperluan oksigen biokimia, permintaan oksigen kimia, jumlah pepejal terampai, nitrogen ammonia, nitrogen nitrat, fosforus, coli Escherichia, dan trihalometana dalam sistem penyahjangkitan kuman berskala-makmal. Unit tunggal penurasan ultra membran PES20kDa dan sistem penyahjangkitan kuman bersepadu UF-Cl menunjukkan masing-masing paling efektif dalam rawatan unit tunggal dan sistem penyahjangkitan kuman bersepadu. Keputusan menunjukkan bahawa hampir semua unit tunggal penyahjangkitan kuman dan proses penyahjangkitan kuman bersepadu boleh diguna pakai bagi aplikasi terhad dan tidak terhad mengikut garis panduan penggunaan semula air sisa rawatan yang ditetapkan oleh Agensi Pelindungan Alam Sekitar Amerika Syarikat (US EPA) dan kualiti kitar semula air sisa Singapura
INVESTIGATION ON INFLUENCE OF ANIONIC SURFACTANT FOR HOMOGENISATION OF MWCNT IN ALUMINIUM 6065 MATRIX
In the proposed work, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) is used as a surfactant for carbon nanotubes, to fabricate multi walled carbon nanotube-aluminium metal matrix composites (MMCs). This paper presents the comparison study of SDS coated and non-coated multi walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) mixed with Al6065 by stir casting technique. The presence of low molecular weight surfactant treated with MWCNT was investigated by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy analysis. About 1 wt. % of MWCNT is used as a filler metal in Aluminium and the dispersion characteristics of SDS coated and non-coated Carbon Nanotubes in the composite is examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The comparison study of SEM analysis showed thatthe MWCNT coated with SDS has good dispersion stability and considerable reduction in agglomeration to obtain agglomeration free composites. The mechanical properties and wear characteristics of the MWCNT-Aluminium matrix were studied as per the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards. The results of SDS coated MWCNT exhibits exceptional properties with increase in the tensile strength, compressive strength, hardness, and wear characteristics of the reinforced metal matrix.
ABSTRAK:Natriumdodesilsulfat (SDS) digunakan sebagai surfaktan pada karbon nanotiub, bagi menghasilkan multi dinding karbon nanotiub-komposit matriks logam aluminium (MMCs). Perbandingan dibuat dalam kajian ini dengan membandingkan salutan SDS dengan bukan-salutan multi dinding karbon nanotiub (MWCNT) yang bercampur A16065 melalui teknik kacauan acuan. Kahadiran berat surfaktan molekul ringan terawat dengan MWCNT dikaji mengguna pakai analisis spektroskopi Penjelmaan Fourier Inframerah (FTIR). Kira-kira 1 wt.% MWCNT digunakan sebagai pengisi besi dalam Aluminum dan ciri-ciri penyebaran salutan SDS dan bukan-salutan karbon nanotiub dalam komposit diteliti menggunakan pengimbas mikroskop elektron (SEM). Perbandingan analisis SEM menunjukkan, salutan MWCNT dengan SDS mempunyai kestabilan penyebaran dan berkurang dengan banyak dalam pengaglomeratan bagi mendapatkan komposit bebas pengaglomeratan. Ciri-ciri mekanikal dan haus matrik Aluminium-MWCNT dikaji berdasarkan piawai Persatuan Pengujian Bahan Amerika (ASTM). Keputusan MWCNT salutan SDS mempunyai ciri-ciri luar biasa dengan kenaikan kekuatan tegangan, kekuatan mampatan, kekerasan, dan ciri-ciri haus pada kekuatan matrik logamn
A NOVEL DIMENSIONALITY REDUCTION APPROACH TO IMPROVE MICROARRAY DATA CLASSIFICATION
Cancer tumor prediction and diagnosis at an early stage has become a necessity in cancer research, as it provides an increase in the treatment success chances. Recently, DNA microarray technology became a powerful tool for cancer identification, that can analyze the expression level of a different and huge number of genes simultaneously. In microarray data, the large genes number versus a few records may affect the prediction performance. In order to handle this "curse of dimensionality” constraint of microarray dataset while improving the cancer identification performance, a dimensional reduction phase is necessary. In this paper, we proposed a framework that combines dimensional reduction methods and machine learning algorithms in order to achieve the best cancer prediction performance using different microarray datasets. In the dimensional reduction phase, a combination of feature selection and feature extraction techniques was proposed. Pearson and Ant Colony Optimization was used to select the most important genes. Principal Component Analysis and Kernel Principal Component Analysis were used to linearly and non-linearly transform the selected genes to a new reduced space. In the cancer identification phase, we proposed four algorithms C5.0, Logistic Regression, Artificial Neural Network, and Support Vector Machine. Experimental results demonstrated that the framework performs effectively and competitively compared to state-of-the-art methods.
ABSTRAK: Ramalan tumor kanser dan diagnosis pada peringkat awal telah menjadi keperluan dalam kajian kanser, kerana ia membuka peluang peningkatan kejayaan dalam rawatan. Kebelakangan ini, teknologi mikrotatasusunan DNA menjadi alat berkuasa bagi mengenal pasti kanser, di mana ia mampu menganalisa level ekspresi yang pelbagai dan gen-gen yang banyak secara serentak. Dalam data mikrotatasusunan, gen-gen yang banyak ini bakal menentukan ramalan prestasi berbanding analisa melalui rekod-rekod yang sebilangan. Fasa pengurangan dimensi adalah perlu bagi mengawal kakangan “penentuan kedimensian” dataset mikrotatasusunan, sementara itu ia memantapkan lagi keberkesanan kenal pasti kanser. Kajian ini mencadangkan rangka kombinasi kaedah pengurangan dimensi dan algoritma pembelajaran mesin bagi mencapai prestasi ramalan kanser terbaik dengan menggunakan pelbagai dataset mikrotatasusunan. Dalam fasa pengurangan dimensi, kombinasi pemilihan ciri dan teknik pengekstrakan ciri telah dicadangkan, Pengoptimuman Pearson dan Koloni Semut bagi memilih gen yang paling penting, Analisis Komponen Prinsipal dan Analisis Komponen Prinsipal Kernel, bagi menukar gen terpilih yang linear dan tak linear kepada ruang baru yang dikurangkan. Dalam menentukan fasa mengenal pasti kanser, kajian ini mencadangkan empat algoritma iaitu C5.0, Regresi Logistik, Rangkaian Neural Buatan dan Mesin Vektor Sokongan. AN ENHANCED PACKET SCHEDULING ALGORITHM FOR THE DOWNLINK COGNITIVE LONG TERM EVOLUTION-ADVANCED
A packet scheduling algorithm known as Enhanced Maximum-Largest Weighted Delay First (EM-LWDF) is proposed in this paper. It aims to maximize the number of Real Time (RT) and Non Real Time (NRT) users that meet their desired Quality of Service (QoS) in the cognitive Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A). This cognitive LTE-A allows its Component Carriers (CCs) to be combined with licensed CCs from another system. This enables the LTE-A to further expand the available bandwidth for packet transmission. The EM-LWDF algorithm decides the priority of each user on the basis of the desired QoS of each packet, the urgency of each packet, channel quality and the average throughput. The potential of this algorithm is validated via computer simulation where it is able to simultaneously maximize more users that meet their desired QoS in realistic RT and NRT multimedia of the downlink cognitive LTE-A.
ABSTRAK: Algoritma penjadualan paket yang dikenali sebagai Enhanced Maximum-Largest Weighted Delay First (EM-LWDF) dicadangkan dalam kertas ini. Ia bertujuan untuk memaksimumkan bilangan pengguna Real Time (RT) dan Non Real Time (NRT) yang memenuhi Kualiti Perkhidmatan yang dikehendaki (QoS) dalam system kognitif Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A). Kognitif LTE-A ini membolehkan Carrier Component (CC) untuk digabungkan dengan CC berlesen dari sistem lain. Ini membolehkan LTE-A untuk memperluaskan jalur lebar yang tersedia bagi penghantaran paket. Algoritma EM-LWDF menentukan keutamaan setiap pengguna berdasarkan QoS yang dikehendaki dari setiap paket, kecemasan setiap paket, kualiti saluran dan purata penghantaran. Potensi algoritma ini disahkan melalui simulasi komputer di mana ia dapat memaksimumkan lebih banyak pengguna yang memenuhi QoS yang dikehendaki mereka dalam realistik RT dan NRT multimedia dari downlink sistem kognitif LTE-A
DEVELOPMENT OF LOW-COST ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM THROUGH SELECTIVE INHIBITION SINTERING (SIS) PROCESS AND EVALUATION OF MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF FABRICATED PARTS
Additive manufacturing (AM) is widely being used in today’s contemporary industry; however, products fabricated by the existing AM techniques are costly due to the high machine cost and low production rate. Therefore, the focus of this work is to design and fabricate a cost-effective and novel powder based selective inhibition sintering (SIS) system. Various subsystems of the machine such as the infrared heater assembly, inhibition deposition mechanism, build and feed tank assemblies, powder deposition, and the compaction system have been indigenously designed and fabricated. An electronic control system is also established through integrating sensors, linear and rotary actuators, belt and pulley mechanism, and temperature feedback control unit. The customized SIS system is developed by integrating the assembly of all the subsystems, and the electronic modules with an open-source platform to generate the necessary motion characteristics. Besides, an open source RepRap user interface firmware has been used to control the machine. Thermo-structural finite element analysis has been used to study the sintering behaviour of powder material. Inhibitor material selection and preparation have been carried out by performing an experimental investigation on the inhibition effects of various materials. The machine has been tested through fabricating parts from HDPE polymer powder. Finally, the performance of the produced parts has been evaluated by conducting an experimental investigation. The results of the investigation indicated that the fabricated parts have attained sufficient mechanical strength and, hence, the developed SIS system can be utilized to manufacture functional parts.
ABSTRAK: Industri pembuatan bahan tambahan (AM) banyak digunakan dalam industri kontemporari semasa; walau bagaimanapun, produk yang terhasil daripada teknik sedia ada AM adalah mahal disebabkan harga mesin yang mahal dan kadar penghasilan yang rendah. Oleh itu, tujuan kajian ini adalah bagi mereka cipta serbuk baharu dengan harga berpatutan berdasarkan sistem pensinteran rencatan pilihan (SIS). Pelbagai mesin subsistem seperti pemasangan pemanas inframerah, mekanisme pemendapan rencatan, binaan dan pemasangan tangki suapan, deposisi serbuk, dan sistem pemadatan telah direka cipta secara alami dan dipasang siap. Sistem kawalan elektronik juga diadakan melalui integrasi sensor, lelurus dan penggerak putaran, jaluran dan mekanisme takal dan suhu unit kawalan suap balik. Sistem SIS yang dibuat mengikut pesanan ini dihasilkan dengan mengintegrasi pemasangan kesemua subsistem, dan modul elektronik melalui platfom sumber terbuka bagi menghasilkan ciri-ciri pergerakan bersesuaian. Selain itu, sumber terbuka RepRap perisian tegar antara muka telah digunakan bagi mengawal mesin. Analisis unsur terhingga struktur-terma digunakan bagi mempelajari perihal pensinteran bahan serbuk. Pilihan bahan perencat dan persediaan telah dijalankan dengan menjalankan siasatan eksperimen pada kesan perencat pelbagai bahan. Mesin diuji melalui pemasangan bahagian daripada HDPE serbuk polimer. Akhirnya, bahagian yang terhasil diuji melalui ujian eksperimen. Hasil kajian menunjukkan pemasangan bahagian telah mencapai kekuatan mekanikal mencukupi, dengan itu sistem SIS yang dibina boleh digunakan bagi mengilang bahagian berkaitan
