“A Cruel Twist of Fate” by H.F. Askwith is a gothic young adult (YA) novel set in 19th-century Britain, blending mystery, light horror, and fantasy elements. The story follows Helena Timber, an 18-year-old confectioner who becomes a governess at a strange manor while trying to rescue her mother from debtor\u27s prison. The manor is filled with secrets, time-travel devices, and a dark family past. Though the plot is somewhat predictable, the novel is praised for its vivid atmosphere, accessible language, and engaging storytelling. Respectful Leadership and Thriving at Work: Mediating Role of Inclusion Climate and Emotional Culture of Joy

    No full text
The research explores the impact of respectful leadership on workplace employee thriving through the mediation of inclusion climate together with emotional culture of joy. Through Social Learning Theory and Conservation of Resources Theory we demonstrate that respectful leadership creates organizational cultural conditions that enable employee thriving. Our study utilized quantitative survey data from 150 employees across multiple organizations to examine how respectful leadership leads to employee thriving by way of inclusion climate and emotional culture of joy through a dual-mediation model. Analysis through structural equation modeling confirmed our proposed relationships by showing that respectful leadership positively affects both inclusion climate (β = 0.500, p \u3c 0.001) and emotional culture of joy (β = 0.311, p \u3c 0.001). Thriving at work significantly correlated with inclusion climate (β = 0.501, p \u3c 0.001) yet the emotional culture of joy demonstrated no significant link to thriving (β = 0.085, p = 0.234). Respectful leadership demonstrated a significant indirect impact on employee thriving through inclusion climate as indicated by β = 0.250 and p \u3c 0.001 but showed no significant indirect effect through emotional culture of joy with coefficients β = 0.027 and p = 0.336. Respectful leadership drives employee thriving by creating an inclusive organizational environment instead of emotional cultural means. This study enriches leadership and organizational culture research by mapping specific routes through which leadership actions affect employee results. It refines Social Learning and Conservation of Resources theories by emphasizing the role of inclusive cultural conditions over affective states in fostering well-being and provides operational guidance for organizations aiming to advance employee well-being through leadership training and cultural improvements. The results emphasize how important it is for organizations to foster inclusive working cultures and respectful leadership practices. The research results underscore the need to build respectful leadership skills and create inclusive workplace environments to ensure ongoing employee development and well-being
