The Eighth Annual Conference of the Pakistan Economic Association was being held in Lahore from December 19 to 21, 1957, under the auspices of the Department of Economics, University of the Punjab. Flyer: A program of evening study and diploma course
The main objective of the Institute of Public and Business Administration is to improve administration in Pakistan by providing facilities for training and research in administrative techniques. For this, the Institute offers training for full-time and part-time students.
The full-time program began in August 1955. It is for post-graduate students and leads to a Master\u27s degree, upon the completion of two years of successful work, the part-time program is designed to meet the needs of persons already employed in government or business who desire further training in the techniques and tools of management. In-service training sessions are offered to meet the special needs of government agencies and private business concerns.

The Institute of Public and Business Administration organized an In-service Training Programs for those employed in government and business sector who can profit by further study in the fields of Management and Allied subjects.
The purpose of this course is to acquaint administrators with the basic principles and techniques of supervision. The first part of the course emphasizes good orderly work based upon a sound organization. Workers want to know: who is their boss; what is their job; how they are doing. The In-Service training program began on November 7,1955 with a Fall Session enrollment of 170. It is designed to meet the needs of persons already employed in government or business who desire training in the techniques and tools of management. It is a program for those whose time for study is limited and who already have had experience in facing management problems. Pennsylvania Team Visit 1954
A team of four advisors from the world famous Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania visited Karachi during the last quarter of 1954. Dr. Hoffman led the team.
