A psychometric evaluation of the career decision making self-efficacy scale
The assessment tool for a career currently being developed requires special treatment from a psychologist/psychometrist. The measurements are conducted when students are confused about career options. However, for students who have decided, it is uncommon for them to seek professional help. Psychological tools that focus on capturing information about students\u27 maturity in relation to their ability to make career decisions can help them choose a major that is suitable for their career. This study concerns adapting the career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) that can predict one\u27s confidence in his/her ability to make career choices. The adaptation of this instrument went through several stages such as translation, back translation, testing the reliability, and testing the validity evidence of content and internal structure using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). This study used a sample of 539 high school students in Bandung and Cimahi. The construct reliability (CR) of the instrument wasα=0.929. The evidence for internal structure using CFA showed that the CDMSE scale has an acceptable goodness of fit index. The standardized loading factor item is in the range 0.710-0.998. It can be concluded that the Bahasa Indonesia version of the CDMSE scale has good psychometric properties and can be used for research or assessment to measure a person\u27s degree of confidence about his/her ability to make career choices
Evaluation of hybrid learning in college using CIPP model
Learning in the millennial era provides significant changes in technology and communication. The COVID pandemic period requires every educational institution, especially universities, to carry out online learning. This influences the performance of lecturers in the online learning process, especially the implementation of hybrid learning at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the implementation of hybrid learning at UNY; (2) know the hybrid learning lecture model carried out at UNY; (3) describe the results of hybrid learning evaluation. This research is an evaluation study with a mixed-method approach that is a mixture of qualitative and quantitative. The evaluation model selected is the CIPP model from Stufflebeam. This model was chosen because the evaluation is comprehensive, including (1) context, (2) input, (3) process, and (4) product. The results show that the hybrid learning evaluation model developed through the instrument already met an excellent construct of loading factor values and had a composite reliability score above 0.7 and Cronbach alpha above 0.6. Implementation of difficulties or obstacles to hybrid learning includes heterogeneity of origin of student residence to make the emergence of internet network signal problems. In comparison, the problem of lecturers is that not all lecturers have skills for technology and media in the implementation of hybrid learning. The results of hybrid learning evaluation showed that the value of context, input, process, and product aspects fall into the category of excellent, i.e., with a total average score of 3.05
Evaluating the learning goal attainment in Nihongo Noryoku Shiken N5 course
The objective of the study is to evaluate the learning implementation of the Nihongo Noryoku Shiken N5 course as a new course offered in the 2020 curriculum at the Japanese Language Education Study Program in UNNES. A goal-oriented evaluation model by Tyler was employed in the evaluation process to measure how far the learning goals that have been determined at the beginning of the lecture are achieved. This evaluative research relied on a quantitative descriptive approach; its steps comprised (1) data collection, (2) data processing and analysis, and (3) recommendation formulation. According to the evaluation results, the learning goals of Nihongo Noryoku Shiken N5 had been met, although it was not that significant. Several conditions cause such issues. (1) In the class, some students had good Japanese language skills; they claimed that the lesson was too easy, so their progress was not significant. (2) The evaluation instruments were not valid. (3) Other conditions, e.g., the implementation of online learning and tests, hindered classroom activities and monitoring. Improving the teaching and learning materials and evaluation instruments is recommended. Furthermore, some additions to the curriculum need to be considered, such as adding the credits for the grammar or Bunpo course

Consumer behavior-focused training in retailing education: Too much of a good thing?
Consumer behavior training extensively delivered in the tertiary vocational school of business had been expected to equip students with deep knowledge in marketing and sales. This was true when students were dealing with general business environments, but it was dubious when it was implemented in a certain field of business, such as retail business. Retail business, predictably, had a unique characteristic in its business decisions. Students in the Marketing Program of a tertiary vocational school in their final year were the object of the study. Employing the non-parametric tools to assess student knowledge in consumer behavior and its association with retailing decisions mastery, it was found that student mastery in consumer behavior did not associate with better knowledge in other five retail business decisions (determining the composition of goods, spotting locations, pricing, profit strategy, and store management). The article also provided a brief explanation that specific knowledge in consumer behavior did not always in line with the required knowledge in the retail business. It was also suggested that to elaborate whether one particular knowledge of business practices had a valuable feature was, first, by determining its overall decisions relating to it. Then, the second, establishing a series of analyses to assess whether the decisions have any relations with the college\u27s courses or training of a field of study. Comprehension of the process might help the vocational school to equip students with the right required knowledge and skills for a certain field of business
